I spoke with Flip around 2 p.m. He and team are in Rancho Cucamonga, http://www.city-data.com/city/Rancho-Cucamonga-California.html, still on Route 66 headed towards San Bernardino. He described watching airplanes fly into the awesomely beautiful snow capped mountains in the distance. He told me:
We've had an amazing opportunity to witness during this walk. I've never before had an opportunity that compares to this. Everybody who sees us wonders what is going on. Many of them stop to talk to us. The kids are crazy about Mercy and Judgment. A lot of folks are supportive and thank us. Of course, we have those who don't like what we're doing.
I've heard from David Lackey and he says, "Wear your Jesus is the Standard T-shirt!" He says orthodox Jews have been stopping him and asking if he is with "The Passion of Christ." It has given him a great chance to tell them about the Messiah. He and a friend plan to witness at a synagogue.
God has given our little team such favor with the police. They have been extraordinarily kind to us. The police tried to stop us awhile ago, but they just let us go.
We stopped at Clairmont School of Theology. We brought along the broken Ten Commandments and the dead baby. Rusty's daughter, Shekinah, has been carrying the baby. [Flip, in answer to my question,] Oh yes, yes, we had Judgment and Mercy right on campus with us. One of the campus policewomen was agitated with us for being there. I think the horse may have made her a little nervous. She told me, "Now I don't want to get violent with you!" I couldn't help but smile at that.
The Methodists have made peace with the world. This Methodist school was no different. They believe you can be a practicing homosexual and a Christian. They say there are many ways to God. But we came to tell them that we cannot call other religions anything but wrong. John and Charles Wesley were far different Methodists than these.
We have a huge speaker on top of the car so wisdom cries aloud from the street. Proverbs, it's a good one! "How long will you simple ones love your simple ways?...If you had listened to Me I would have poured my heart out to you ...but since you rejected Me...you can call but I will not answer..." |
