Flip and team have reached the outskirts of San Bernardino. When I asked him if everything was going smoothly, he said:
Well, I have to tell you, Rusty just led two teenage Hispanic boys to Christ, so we are all rejoicing over that! The witnessing potential is just incredible. I've witnessed to more people the past few days than I did all last year.
Everything seems to be harder than it needs to be though. We're up every morning before 5:00, but somehow we can't seem to get on the road before 7:30 or 8:00. We were blown away by how expensive everything is. The bathroom on the RV is broken, so we're having to make all those stops. You know all of the OSA people are reading through the Bible together and we're in Numbers now. We were just discussing this, "demidbar" is the Hebrew word for Numbers, it means "in the desert." Demidbar, the desert, was used by God to refine Moses and the children of Israel. He's using it now to refine us.
The minister of an American Baptist Church let us use their parking lot for the night. He turned out to be a very conservative minister. He said he is waging a battle against the Mormons, Masons and Wiccans. One of our guys read an article about the many Wiccan ranches in these hills. You can feel the oppression of that evil spirit in the air. The last sermon the pastor preached was - we are called to be light bulbs but we are not called only to shine the light on sin, we are called to fight it! Pastor said there are no mega churches here like there are in other areas, (his church is about 300), because of those three elements, the Mormons, Masons and Wiccans.
We've stopped at some porn places and placed a curse on them. Some of the women have come out in their little short outfits and said what they always say, [in falsetto] "Doesn't it say in the Bible don't judge?"...."You're not supposed to cast the first stone."
Tomorrow we go to San Bernardino City Hall . Curtis Fenison will be leading the way blowing the shofar. Judgment, the horse, will come before Mercy, the donkey. When we agree with God that His judgment is correct and we confess that, then His mercy is for all of us. |
