N. Texas Planned Parenthood Teen Sex Conference Picketed by Moms & Dads

Good afternoon!
Ryan, Josiah and I were at the Planned Parenthood (PP) Teen conference (on sex education) this morning along with 40 Catholic protesters... Praise the Lord! Planned Parenthood volunteers and staff (all caucasian and in their upper 40's and 50's) had decorated the entrance gate with festival balloons; creating a 'fun and exciting' entrance for the young kids ranging from 11 years old to 18. Approximately 250 to 270 kids were expected to be bused in for the event. Organizations such as United Way, Girls Inc and Jubilee Center were just a few of the groups transporting children. All of us peaceful protesters held large visible signs and tried to pass out information to the vehicles driving through the entrance gate. Several people, along with Ryan and I, made sure to get the attention of the kids as they were entering the building; however, PP staff and volunteers did their best to usher the kids inside promptly. An African-American woman drove through the entrance gate with two young kids in the back seat and dropped off a son approximately 11 yrs old. As she was driving out we told her that her son would be informed about sex at this conference and encouraged to 'try it out.' She responded by saying, "Well he is going to do it anyways," and drove off. This woman's cold response represents where we are at in our culture. We would like to make you aware of another Planned Parenthood event that will be taking place in September called 'Cocktails for a Cause.' This is an effort by PP to bring in the younger generation for financial support and help in their effort to encourage safe sex and abortions.
