National Leaders Call for No Compromise
40th Memorial of Legalized Abortion in Colorado

It was on April 25, 1967, that the state of Colorado became the first state in America to decriminalize abortion in America.  It did this by allowing abortions to be performed in the cases of “rape, incest, and life of the mother.”   This is how the horrible holocaust all began! 

If “rape, incest and the life of the mother” is how the horrible abortion holocaust began in America, how in the world can we expect to bring it to an end by including these same exception clauses?  This foolishness, more than anything else, reveals the failed strategy of the pro-life movement.

Dr. Alan Keyes, who ran against Barack Obama for the United States Senate in the state of Illinois, delivered the key note address in the old Supreme Court Chamber in Colorado’s State Capitol building.

Mrs. Judie Brown, of American Life League, Brian Rohrbough, the President of Colorado Right to Life, Bob Enyart, of “Bob Enyart Live” radio, and Flip Benham of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America, with one voice and one heart presented a strategy that cannot fail to bring abortion to an end in our land. 

With President Brian Rohrbough at the helm and Vice President Leslie Hanks at his right hand, Colorado Right to Life was able to clearly and articulately expose the flaws of the national pro-life strategy.

The old Supreme Court chamber at the Colorado State Capitol building was the same room where the original abortion bill was signed into law forty years ago. 

Pastor Bob Enyart’s presentation, “Focus on the Strategy II,” was stunning.  He proved to the standing room only audience that the laws pro-life legislators have fought so hard to implement are only prolonging the fight to end abortion. The idea that regulatory legislation requiring abortionists to jump through a hoop or two before killing a child has destroyed “the personhood of the child.”  Personhood is the one and only argument that will win the fight for the lives of the unborn.  Any law that ends with the caveat “…and then you can kill the baby.” violates God’s 6th Commandment, “Thou Shalt Not Murder.” 

Therefore, Parental Notification laws, Parental Consent laws, Fetal Pain laws, Waiting Period laws, and Partial-Birth Abortion ban are all anathema toward the image of Almighty God and the personhood of each and every child.  Though those who have sponsored these bills and labored hard to get them passed are well-intentioned, they are in violations of the very Law of God.  Christians, who understand the times, would never support this kind of legislation.

Keynote speaker Dr. Alan Keyes exposed the Republican Party as a party committed only to itself.  Who should know better than Dr. Keyes who was abandoned by the Republican Party when he ran for Senate against Obama.  He stood for God and His Word and the sanctity of life for every child and was forsaken by our so-called Republican friends!

Ambassador Keyes reminded Christians that their decisions should always and unabashedly be based on the absolutes of the Bible.  His inspiring and eloquent speech received several standing ovations.

The Reverend Flip Benham spoke immediately following Dr. Keyes and introduced the Emancipation Proclamation for the unborn child.  This document is an all-out, absolute stand upon the sanctity of life in the womb. It holds the Supreme Court of the United States of America in contempt of the Court of Almighty God when it allows the shedding of innocent blood in the womb.  All in attendance signed the Emancipation Proclamation.

That Wednesday evening, Mrs. Judy Brown spoke at a benefit banquet for Colorado Right to Life.  The entire pro-life movement owes Mrs. Brown a debt of gratitude for never wavering or compromising her stand for the sanctity of life for the unborn child.

Operation Rescue/Operation Save America plans to present this vision for victory to pro-life leaders at its National Event this July14-22 in Birmingham, Alabama.  

Reverend Flip Benham said of the event in Colorado, “We were together with one heart and one mind to say that which God had spoken to us.  Repentance is the word that we Christians in the pro-life community must live out.  It was awesome to hear our Lord’s voice through each and every speaker. 

“What we heard on April 25, 2007, was God’s call to the 2nd American Revolution!  He is calling to His Church and to America to unsheathe the sword of the Spirit and speak exactly that which God is speaking.  It is now our responsibility to get the message out!  We are pro-life without compromise, without exception and without apology!  It is upon this rock found in the Bible, etched in tablets of stone, and engraved in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, which we will stand. 

If you are ready to bring abortion to an end in America, lets elicit God’s aid, proclaim His truth, and claim 2 Chronicles 7:24:  If my people, who are called by my name, would humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear them from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”
