You know it’s going to be a good day when the butcherette is waiting for the ultrasound van to pull up and begins shouting at us as we unload our signs and materials. “You can’t park there!” she screamed. “I know that Natalie.” “I’m calling the cops!” she screamed. “What got up her crawl space?” we murmured. I whispered, “I still love you and I’m praying you out of this bloody business.” She stormed inside.
We got back in the van and sought a visible parking spot. We try to stay within eye shot of this place as the mothers are walking up to the entrance.
Praise God that a car pulled into the alley and we approached it. The Black American couple listened to what God shared with me concerning this baby. The driver said he was asking God for a sign not to do this. He then said, “Can you show me a picture of what this baby looks like?” “Absolutely!” I pointed to the ultrasound van. The young girl asked me what my name was again. “Angela,” I replied. “Oh my!” she said. She then put her head in her hands and said, “I can’t do this; that’s my sister’s name.” “Well, praise God!” I looked up and pointed out a parking spot close to the van for them to pull into. I yelled over to Mia to set it up. I ran to Jess and told him to keep an eye on things and pray.
Once inside the van, we introduced ourselves again and we worked fast. After placing the scanner on her protruding tummy I pointed to the screen where her approx 18 week old baby was auditioning for his life. The father had his eyes fixed on the screen and big crocodile tears were rolling down his cheeks. He tearfully said, “I asked God to give me a sign we shouldn’t do this and to show me this baby and then we pulled up and there you were.” I asked if they wanted to know the sex and if there were other children. Alphonse shared that they had six girls at home. The youngest was one year old and that their doctor told them to get rid of this one and to go the abortion clinic. “What was his reasoning?” “Too many,” he said. “We have twelve. I can’t imagine taking my child’s life because we have so many. Children are a blessing.” “Yes ma’am,” Alphonse responded. The baby was in a good position. I asked them if they would like to know what they are having. “Yes.” I went deeper with the scanner. I smiled, “It appears to be a boy.” “A boy!” Alphonse shouted. Just then I lost my balance and realized we were feeling an aftershock from the earthquake we experienced the past week in Illinois. We brushed it off.
They then got to hear their son’s first heartbeats. Morena was thrilled. We went over follow-up instructions with her primary and we needed to confirm. She asked if we could refer her to another physician. “Of course,” we said. Alphonse then announced, “We will name him ‘Justice.’” “Praise God! That’s awesome.” He then gave me a big bear hug and he profusely kept thanking me. “It’s not me, it’s the Lord. He uses me as His instrument.” Morena was more subdued than her husband, but very grateful and promised to follow up and keep in touch. We prayed and then walked them to their car.
While inside the ultrasound van another save came back out, took a brochure, and confirmed to Jess she was saving the baby and drove off the lot. The day started off a little bumpy but ended much better. Proverbs 22:9 “Those who are generous are blessed, for they share their bread with the poor.”
“The heart that goes out of itself gets large and full of joy. This is the great secret of inner life. We do ourselves the most good when we are doing something for others.” ~H Mann
Saturday- 35 IN, LA, MO, IL 2 saves 8 pro-lifers
In a constant cold rain it was a balancing act as we held umbrellas in one hand and literature in another. More than usual femi-nazi deathscorts donning their yellow “poor-choice” vests or borrowed Planned Barrenhood green vests drew a line in the rain on the parking lot and glared at us on the front sidewalk.
One deathscort held her miniature chow mix in one hand. We asked her if she, “would feel differently if this was a puppy killing mill?” She smiled. Another asked her, “Is a scalpel or suction hose all that Hope(less) can help women with?” I asked her how many women she has taken in her home. Or how many foster babies she has adopted. Or how many utility bills has she paid to keep the lights on. Or how many groceries has she purchased for women in need? Truth hurts. This was making them mad.
The perverse deathscort then began flirting with her tongue in a suggestive manner to Mia. “She’s too young for you.” She turned to Angela and waved her tongue out. “Forget it, I’m taken.” We then realized how cunning the devil is. He uses everyone outside this playground to do his work and distract us.
We turned from the deathscorts said a quick prayer and began walking towards the mothers and the cars pulling onto the lot. Much more black genocide was going down this day. In between the curbside counseling sessions we confirmed with two mothers that came back out that they were keeping their babies. We were cold and wet, and it was only the third quarter. TOUCHDOWN!!
Thank you God for blessings bestowed this week, for every heart touched and lives saved.
Approx. 194 babies killed. 9 babies saved. Approx. 17 pro-lifers cared enough to show up throughout the week’s massacre. 2711 saves since January 2000 and 26 babies have been adopted through Small Victories!
“Do not fear or be dismayed at this great multitude; for the battle is not yours but the Lord’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15
The Gospel reminds time and time again that God’s love is our only source of strength. In a culture that is self-serving and self-seeking we try to fight our battles in our own flesh and reliance. We try and shoulder the burdens of those we care for and to face our own difficulties in our own personal strength. But God is there in every trial and through every storm. He sees us through. “Rescue me God from my foes. Protect me from those who attack me. O, rescue me from those who do evil, and save me from bloodthirsty men.” Psalm 59
Be encouraged…no trial has come to you but what is human. Our God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial He will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it. 1 Cor.10:13 “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”
When God raises you up, you have compassion for those weakest among you. You look for those whom you can help, because at one time, you were one of them. “Whatever you did for the least of these brothers of Mine, You did for Me.” Matthew 25:40.
Be encouraged~ Angela
