If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times. Just this morning a prominent Christian leader and voice for the family was on the radio wringing his hands about this election. I heard him say it again: “We are at a crossroads.”
Every two years, and even more so on every four years, we hear the message: “It’s important how you vote! For we are at a crossroads!”
The conservatives try to muster up something that they can put against the liberals, and continually leave their base disappointed and disgusted.
When are we going to wake up: WE ARE NOT AT A CROSSROADS ANYMORE!
Each of the three prominent presidential candidates is seeking to take us at breakneck speeds down the same superhighway straight into the mouth of hell.
The unborn are slaughtered. The homosexuals are tolerated, condoned, yea even endorsed. The family is not supported. Can I tell you that national security is no longer an issue? God has more judgement that the Pentagon has defense!
And the answer is not to jump on the conservative bandwagon with the old argument: “At least this one is moving slower!” I dare to posit to you that if any redeeming mercy is left for nation it will not be sought until after judgement drives us to our knees. The conservatives are only a painkiller against the cancer destroying our nation. Let’s face the pain so we don’t have to die in a coma. Maybe then we’ll get desperate enough for the Word of God to cut us open and remove our sin!
We’re not at a crossroads anymore! America has made her choice! The answer is not in politics; don’t expend false hope this November.
The answer must come from the pulpits, from the pew, from the people of God who will stand against this tide and say: TURN AROUND! REPENT! We don’t placate sin and sinful candidates! We must preach the truth and stand as the lonely prophet begging with his people not to accept the lies that are corrputing the culture! We must stand against the false prophets who cry, "Peace! Peace!" when there is no peace!
We are not at a crossroads anymore.
God, save America!
