This November you will be asked to amend the Colorado constitution to redefine "personhood" and to grant constitutional rights from the moment of fertilization.  

Our opponents hope their vaguely written initiative, with its short and simple language, will sneak through the clutter of a busy election season.  They count on people misunderstanding its far-reaching implications:

•  abortion will be outlawed
•  birth control, including emergency contraception, the pill and IUD's, will be banned; and
•  stem cell research and in-vitro fertilization prohibited.

Colorado is a battleground state and we are fighting more than just a 20 year old woman's religious "vision."  We are battling a cadre of organized and well-funded anti-choice extremists, many from outside Colorado, who have launched an all-out attack on women's health.  These proponents have said they will raise $3 million to win this campaign!

But we're planning a campaign of our own,a campaign for common sense.
