Churches in Dallas Taking a Stand!

In addition to praying for the heart, mind, and life change of moms and dads going into the Dallas Northpark abortuary on Meadow Road, those of us who sidewalk counsel and witness there always ask God to touch the workers with the Gospel truth about abortion, to remove the blinders from their eyes.  We pray for their salvation.  For the first time ever, the Saturday before Mother’s Day, we saw evidence that the veil had been pulled back ever so slightly from their eyes.

Saturday was an extraordinary day to begin with.  More Christians were at the mill than I’ve seen since OSA’s national event was held in Dallas in 2002.  Young people from three churches - Lavon Drive Baptist, Calvary Hill Baptist and Redeemed Community - showed up to speak up for unborn babies.  Many held graphic signs that tell the ugly truth about abortion.  We had praise and worship right there on the street.

A couple of our folks spoke with a woman who sat in her car across the street from the mill for about 30 minutes.  They reported that she believed abortion is sin and is against it.  Praise God!!  She had come because her sister had called to say she had an appointment at Northpark that day.

The stage was set, the faithful were gathered, but something happened that none of us remember ever happening before.  The mill never did open!  Is it possible that the workers really have made the connection between motherhood and that "piece of tissue," i.e., "baby"?  Could it be they knew that a mom who killed her unborn child the day before Mother’s Day would potentially suffer emotional pain and depression every Mother’s Day hence?  Might their hearts have softened just enough to care, at least in this one situation, about the long term consequences of their awful decision to kill unborn babies for money? 

No babies died!  Now [we] have tasted the goodness of the Lord-I Peter 2:3. What a mighty Mother’s Day blessing from God!  If, as it appears, in answer to our prayers, the Holy Spirit is informing the consciences of the workers, giving them ears to hear and eyes to see, by next Mother’s Day the abortuary on Meadow Road could be history.  We have the faith to believe that God can do this and the will to work until He does.
