Unbelievable New Law in Colorado
Jo Scott and WorldNetDaily with foreword by Rev. Flip Benham 6/2/2008
Colorado Governor Ritter legalizes Bad behavior in Colorado Churches. May 29, 2008 Colorado’s Governor Bill Ritter signed SB 200 into law. The law makes it illegal to discriminate against transgender persons and mandates that all public restrooms and showers be co-ed to accommodate them. Unfortunately, co-ed lavatory facilities are the least harmful part of this bill. Section 9 of SB 200 defines sexual orientation as follows: SECTION 9. 2-4-401, Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended BY Recently ACLU attorney Craig Silverman, a Denver, liberal talk show host stated that he didn’t want his young son to see a man in a dress walking into the men’s room, lifting up his dress and using the urinal. Craig, without realizing it, stated that he recognized the man in a dress as abnormal and feels that he should protect his child from such an offensive scene. Yet, he thinks that sending that same man to the ladies room would be less offensive. Compared to the rest of this law that was rushed to Bill Ritter’s desk in secrecy, men in women’s restrooms and shower is small potatoes. In section 24-34-701 of the law it states that it is illegal for a business owners among others to “publish, issue, circulate, send, distribute, give away, or display in any way, manner, or shape…” any “paper, poster, folder, manuscript, book, pamphlet, writing, print, letter, notice, or advertisement of any kind, nature,…” that “discriminates” against homosexuals. Section 24-34-601 defines “public accommodation” as “…any Fellow Christians, listen closely, the Bible discriminates against homosexuals and their behavior. According to this new Colorado law it is illegal for a business to print Bibles in Colorado. No place of “public accommodation” will be allowed to display, much less giveaway Bibles. The first homosexual that complains that a hotel or motel is discriminating against them because there is a Bible in their dresser drawer has a legitimate case. Ministries that specifically minister to homosexuals are illegal. Talks show hosts that dare to talk about the sin of homosexuality are at risk of losing their jobs. If the stations are bold enough to allow the truth over the airways the station itself will be at risk. Tracts intended to lead homosexuals to Christ are illegal to print and any business owner involved with the distribution of the tract would be subject to a fine and one year and jail. Now, here comes the kicker. The law states this: ACCOMMODATION" SHALL NOT INCLUDE A CHURCH, SYNAGOGUE, MOSQUE, OR OTHER PLACE THAT IS PRINCIPALLY USED FOR RELIGIOUS PURPOSES. Brothers and sisters in Christ, do not breathe a sigh of relief because your church building is exempt from this abhorrent law. This law teaches the public that churches are places where bad behavior is acceptable. In other words, religion breeds hate, bigotry, and lies. SB 200 mocks Christians and labels them fanatics that are allowed to practice their hate and bigotry behind the closed doors of their wicked churches. The authors of SB 200 were careful not to initiate a direct attack the church, but by making the church the only place where bad behavior is accepted, they have stigmatized Christianity and the name of Christ. When asked to give his opinion on SB 200 becoming law, Pastor Bob Enyart of Denver Bible Church said, “SB 200 is the most far-reaching, hostile homosexual attack on Christians that America has ever seen.” In Colorado we are hoping that many pastors will follow Pastor Enyart’s lead and speak out against this shameful law that makes a mockery of Christianity and outlaws the work of God.
