STREET REPORT FOR BRIDGEPORT, OSA-CT

On Friday another women in a SUV was yelling out the window about the signs. When people see the pictures of aborted babies verses live babies it really stirs them up! Some are stirred to action and join us in the battle to save lives and souls for Jesus. Others just yell and swear and give us the finger and tell us to "Get a job! " or "Get a life!" If they would stop to find out what we are doing, they would see that this is a job  and we are trying to "get a life", a life snatched right out of the butcher's hands.

As I was standing on the sidewalk in front of the killing center I noticed a young Caucasian couple walking across the street in front of the bakery. I went up to them and the young lady (18) was crying and holding a stuffed animal. She told me her parents were forcing her to kill her baby. I told her she did not have to have the abortion, she can make her own decision. Her boyfriend, the father of the baby, did not want to do it either. I tried to call a local CPC but they never returned the call for an appointment.

In the meantime the city was paving the street and they were making so much noise we told them to come inside the bakery so they could hear us. We gave them all the resource information.The young lady's mother called her cell phone. She was in the lot at the clinic waiting for her. The girl told her mom she did not want to do it. The mom came in the bakery like a raving maniac swearing the "F" word! She was saying her daughter could not keep the baby because she had to go to school, etc. etc. I said a few things to her. She was so mad she could not think straight. She threw her pocketbook down in a rage and said to her daughter, "You are on your own!'

A while later her father called her on the cell and was yelling at her. He then appeared in the bakery window yelling at her through the glass. He told her she was going to end up on welfare. So let's get this straight, its OK to kill your baby if you want to go to college or if you do not want to be on welfare. Well, we can see the value of life has become very cheap. Any excuse .........and its OK to kill your child.What are parents like this teaching their kids. They are teaching them to be selfish and materialistic. That if someone gets in your way and makes your life inconvenient, you kill them to solve the problem. Shame on them.  

This young mom above brought her son into the bakery to show the pregnant mom the baby she did not abort................because she changed her mind! The pregnant mom's eyes filled up with tears as she looked at this precious little boy. We also showed her Daniel and told her how his biological mom loved him enough to choose adoption instead of abortion for him. This whole encounter was a living epistle with testimonies of what God will do when you choose to do the right thing!

Well, we got them some breakfast and while we were sitting at the table a young man that's a regular customer at the bakery came to us and said he would give them $500 to help with their bills. He encouraged us and said he was listening to us and we were doing a good job .

After that, a second guy came to the table after he overheard Carmen talking to the young dad about a job. He gave him his business card and told him if he called and used his name, he could get him a full time job starting at $14. an hour. PTL! The couple was so impressed that strangers were willing to help them and not her parents.  The couple left and we hope to hear from them soon. Please pray for all these moms that choose life for their babies, pray they come to the saving knowledge of God's word and make Jesus their Lord and Savior.

After that another young African American mom came out who changed her mind. We gave both these moms hand knitted baby items to save for their little ones, resource info, and a DVD on abortion. After that we went to see a mom that had her baby June 26th. She had a baby boy 4:39 PM at St Vincent's hospital and named him Ceasar. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. A bunch of us went to visit and encourage her with presents and our friendship. Pray for wisdom for this mom and her situation.

Please join us each Tuesday and Friday as we reach out to those who find themselves where they should not be! If not now, then when? If not us, then who? LIVE YOUR LIFE IN SUCH A WAY THAT WHEN YOUR FEET HIT THE FLOOR IN THE MORNING SATAN SHUDDERS AND SAYS "Oh no! He (or she) is awake!" 

This weekend as we celebrate our freedom, thank God that we live in a country where we can still serve Him as we put Him first in all we do. We need to pray that our Lord changes the course our nation is on as we are salt and light in our communities. Be bold and courageous, (just like Stephen in Acts 7) and step out in obedience with faith the He will heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Please pray for David Lackey- he had an MRI and found out his brain tumor grew back. He will probably have surgery soon. God sent His word to heal us and we stand in the gap for our brother's healing and wisdom for the right treatment.
