OSA CT National Event Report
Marilyn Carroll 7/24/2008
Fourteen of us from OSA-CT went to Atlanta, Georgia for the OSA National Event missions trip. It was an awesome week, I can't write about everything, so I will give a brief summary. On Sunday a woman from the hotel that works at the desk was led to the Lord by Pastor Bill Shanks (she was a Muslim). In the evening we had the solemn assembly and the dedication of Hannah Noelle Destiny Michael, a baby saved from abortion. Her mom was going to abort her in the third trimester. Angela (sidewalk counselor in Granite City, Illinois) talked her out of the abortion and said she would take her baby. A few days later she had the baby and gave her to Angela! Dave Lackey and I are the godparents to this precious little girl. Praise the Lord for the life He spared! That day we all read different parts of the whole Bible out loud on the public streets. The "WORD IN WARFARE" went forth to do the work of the Lord!
The Word worked and one of the clinic workers at the mill where Dale was came out and gave his sister a paper with her phone number on it and asked if they could get her another job. They told her she had to quit this job and her eyes filled with tears . She said she was going to quit and wanted to come to church and be baptized! She went back in to get her purse and keys and Dale called Flip to pray. She did come back out, got in her car, stopped at the end of the driveway and told everyone she quit! They made plans with her to come to church that night and she did. Her and her boyfriend both prayed to make Jesus their Lord and Savior and both got water baptized! It was definitely the highlight of the week! (I talked to Monique today and she will be starting her new job in the hospital next week! She wrote a letter to the abortion mill telling them why she quit. She went there to hand deliver it. She parked her car, went to the door, they locked it and would not let her in. She left the letter there. She is attending a local church and listening to Mark Cahill's tapes. Please keep this couple, James and Monique, in your prayers. She told me she made a portfolio and is sharing her testimony with everyone! Praise be to our God! He does above and beyond what we could ever imagine.) July 15th was Danny and my 25th wedding anniversary, Flip called us up and had Danny say a few words. Kelly and Colbi had good fellowship with their peers that they get to see once a year at this event.
Wednesday we went to the Summit Abortion Clinic (sister clinic to ours in Bridgeport) where a young mom was killed by abortion on March 21, 2008. In the afternoon some went to an abortionist's neighborhood to expose him to the neighbors and the public. At the evening service we were encouraged to get our kids out of the public school and to home school them. Flip spoke about the presidential campaign and more. |
