OSA CT National Event Report
Marilyn Carroll • 7/24/2008

Fourteen of us from OSA-CT went to Atlanta, Georgia for the OSA National Event missions trip. It was an awesome week, I can't write about everything, so I will give a brief summary.

On Sunday a woman from the hotel that works at the desk was led to the Lord by Pastor Bill Shanks (she was a Muslim). In the evening we had the solemn assembly and the dedication of Hannah Noelle Destiny Michael, a baby saved from abortion. Her mom was going to abort her in the third trimester. Angela (sidewalk counselor in Granite City, Illinois) talked her out of the abortion and said she would take her baby. A few days later she had the baby and gave her to Angela! Dave Lackey and I are the godparents to this precious little girl. Praise the Lord for the life He spared!

Monday, a young man that works at the hotel was led to the Lord (Sammy). Then we went to a hospital with the signs on the streets and to Planned Parenthood in the morning. Then we went to a park for the Emancipation Proclamation. While there Hector led a man to the Lord and then Tom and him took him to get food. Jesse Lee Peterson spoke at PP and at the church night rally.

Kelly and Colbi spoke a bit to the youth and sang a song. For the first song they ever sang in public - It was great! The Lord saw their hearts and blessed their efforts. I thank God for both of these find young ladies who love the Lord with all their hearts!

Tuesday we went to a local abortion mill. Carmen pleaded with a little Mexican boy in Spanish not to interpret for his mom to kill her baby. He listened and did not. The dad was outside with him, I think the mom came out and left with them. Carmen gave them her number to come to church and offered to help find the dad a job.

That day we all read different parts of the whole Bible out loud on the public streets. The "WORD IN WARFARE" went forth to do the work of the Lord!

The Word worked and one of the clinic workers at the mill where Dale was came out and gave his sister a paper with her phone number on it and asked if they could get her another job. They told her she had to quit this job and her eyes filled with tears . She said she was going to quit and wanted to come to church and be baptized! She went back in to get her purse and keys and Dale called Flip to pray. She did come back out, got in her car, stopped at the end of the driveway and told everyone she quit! They made plans with her to come to church that night and she did. Her and her boyfriend both prayed to make Jesus their Lord and Savior and both got water baptized! It was definitely the highlight of the week!

(I talked to Monique today and she will be starting her new job in the hospital next week! She wrote a letter to the abortion mill telling them why she quit. She went there to hand deliver it. She parked her car, went to the door, they locked it and would not let her in. She left the letter there. She is attending a local church and listening to Mark Cahill's tapes. Please keep this couple, James and Monique, in your prayers. She told me she made a portfolio and is sharing her testimony with everyone! Praise be to our God! He does above and beyond what we could ever imagine.)

July 15th was Danny and my 25th wedding anniversary, Flip called us up and had Danny say a few words. Kelly and Colbi had good fellowship with their peers that they get to see once a year at this event.

Wednesday we went to the Summit Abortion Clinic (sister clinic to ours in Bridgeport) where a young mom was killed by abortion on March 21, 2008. In the afternoon some went to an abortionist's neighborhood to expose him to the neighbors and the public. At the evening service we were encouraged to get our kids out of the public school and to home school them. Flip spoke about the presidential campaign and more.

Thursday we went to the Summit mill again and then to the Memorial Service in the park. We had a baby funeral for "Baby Hope" (1st trimester) and "Baby Choice" (2nd trimester) - two aborted babies. Two abortion survivors - Brandy and Sarah, mourn by the casket.

Dale's sister gave testimony of her daughter, who was spared from abortion and Monique came to give her testimony about leaving the abortion mill. Mark Cahill gave an awesome evangelizing testimony and shared how to save the lost (www.markcahill.org) Kelly, Colbi, Brenda, Hector and many of us are busy reading his books and listening to his CD's and DVD's,he gives a great presentation.

Friday morning we met at 5:20 AM to go to another abortion mill that was what looked like a compound of mansions in a nice neighborhood. The men were holding signs on the streets, Danny was standing right near a stop light so he got to talk to many that had their cars stopped and wanted the literature. It was a great week ministering on the streets and co-laboring with the other soldiers from around our nation. We thank God for "such a time as this."

Today we were all back on the streets in Bridgeport. Colbi and Brenda were witnessing to all the passers-by. They are giving the new doorman a Bible on Friday that he requested. Pray for his salvation (Alex) and pray for us. We cannot do a thing without God, He is our all and all.

For the Least of These,

About Operation Rescue/Operation Save America
Operation Rescue/Operation Save America unashamedly takes up the cause of preborn children in the name of Jesus Christ. We employ only biblical principles. The Bible is our foundation; the Cross of Christ is our strategy; the repentance of the Church of Jesus Christ is our ultimate goal. As the Church changes its heart toward unborn children, God Himself will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and bring healing to our land.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only answer to the abortion holocaust. It is upon our active repentance in the streets of our cities that the Gospel is visibly lived out. We become to the church, to our city, and to our nation living parables which rightly represent God's heart toward His helpless children.

There are no cheap political solutions to the holocaust presently ravaging our nation. Like slavery before it, abortion is preeminently a Gospel issue. The Cross of Christ is the only solution.
