No “Choice” for 13-year-old
By Dorrie Rayburn and her daughter Allysa:

On a recent morning, Brenda Spurlock, Allysa, my son Brian, and I were witnessing to the moms and dads at the Dallas North Park Women’s Clinic when a small Trailblazer pulled in.  A man and woman sat in the front seat talking for quite a while.  When the doors finally opened, Allysa held up a small Malachi sign above the privacy fence so they would see it as they walked in.

The couple got out of the car followed by two teenage girls.  I was in shock at how young these girls looked.  They tried to avoid us by entering in the back, but had to come around to see the picture of Malachi.  Allysa started talking to the girls as soon as she saw them coming to the entrance.  The mother told us to leave them alone.

As they got closer to the clinic door, one of the young girls stopped and put her head down.  She seemed hesitant to go any further.  I think she was crying.  The mother put her arm around her and encouraged her to go on.  It was one of the saddest things I’ve ever witnessed.  I went to Brenda to find out if she had seen the girl and talked to her about calling the police.  We were in turmoil as to what to do.  You know how the police act when you call on them to check out somebody that is inside.

As we were standing there discussing it, we looked down the road and, here came one of Dallas’ finest.  The squad car stopped at the curb.  They were responding to a call on us about our Malachi signs by a passerby.  We told the officer what just happened and that he needed to go in and check to make sure the girl was not raped or molested.  He was rather gracious to us.  I was surprised!  They went inside to check it out.  They weren’t in long and one of the officers came to tell us that everything was okay.  They looked at her birth certificate and her mothers ID and there was nothing more he could do.  He did tell us though that she was only 13.  I don’t know why he told us that because the police don’t usually divulge any extra information.  Later the father/step-father came out to smoke and Allysa and I spoke truth to him.  We were begging him to bring this young girl out.  He just kept puffing away on his cigarette.

Today is Sunday and I can still picture in my mind that young girl stopping a few feet before the door and her mother prodding her to go in.

Proverbs 14:26-27 states, “In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and his children will have a place of refuge.  The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.”   We are sadly lacking the fear of the Lord in our nation.  So much so that we will urge our own children inside the gates of hell to offer up our grandchildren to the slaughter.  Lord, please help us.

You know even though this happened we did have one woman choose life for her baby that day.  It is all worth it.

Allysa’s Story:

Friday August 1, 2008 at North Park Women’s Clinic, it was a normal day at the abortion mill.  Up until that point in my life I thought I had seen it all.  I guess God wanted to humble me because a few minutes later, a black Chevy Trailblazer pulled in and was driving around to the back to park.  First a middle aged man and a middle aged woman stepped out.  I thought they were the only ones, but my mom saw movement in the back seat.  After that, two teenage girls stepped out.  They didn’t look much older than myself, 13.  I thank God that they went around to the wrong door because by the time they got back around I had Malachi up over the fence.  When I saw the look on the girl’s face, I knew that 13 year old girl was about to do something she didn’t want to do.  She burst into tears and her mom yelled something at me.  I will never forget the looks on those extremely young 13 year old faces.  Sometime later, the man that was with them came out to smoke.  I started to talk to him.  Now I don’t remember what I said to him, but I really think it was the mother that wanted the abortion.  I pray that the man had the courage to stand up and bring the girl out because if not she is going to be in a world of torture for the rest of her life.  She was only 13!

About Operation Rescue/Operation Save America
Operation Rescue/Operation Save America unashamedly takes up the cause of preborn children in the name of Jesus Christ. We employ only biblical principles. The Bible is our foundation; the Cross of Christ is our strategy; the repentance of the Church of Jesus Christ is our ultimate goal. As the Church changes its heart toward unborn children, God Himself will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and bring healing to our land.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only answer to the abortion holocaust. It is upon our active repentance in the streets of our cities that the Gospel is visibly lived out. We become to the church, to our city, and to our nation living parables which rightly represent God's heart toward His helpless children.

There are no cheap political solutions to the holocaust presently ravaging our nation. Like slavery before it, abortion is preeminently a Gospel issue. The Cross of Christ is the only solution.
