Following are some responses to the closing by former sidewalk counselors at Aaron:

Dorrie Rayburn:  So many times we would go out there to Aaron’s and pray that more people would join us.  God answered those prayers!  Now two of our churches are coming out to a clinic every month.

Brenda Spurlock:  My most tender memory of Aaron’s is having a young Hispanic woman stop to talk to us.  She could understand English, but couldn’t speak it.  I called my son in-law, Armando, and he interpreted for us via cell phone.  By prayer, working together, and with the awesome help of the Holy Spirit, a baby’s life was spared that day!

Kristene O’Dell:  “God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine!”  I truly believe that the Lord is doing something special in Dallas!  We asked the question recently in our small youth prayer group, ‘In a big city like Dallas, TX do you believe the abortion industry could completely crumble?’  The answers from our youth were full of faith and trust in the Lord and His Word.  What prompted our question was excitement over the (at that time) possible closing of Aaron's.

I have to admit that over the years my faith has waned a bit.  Not knowingly, but when I initially heard the news that Aaron's might close, I was shocked.  If you had asked me which mill I thought would close, Aaron's would have been second to last on the list, coming in right before Fairmount which has been in business since before Roe v Wade.  Aaron had all the money, clientele, and support from the city officials, since this was the only mill where we seemed to be harassed with petty little ordinances written for pan-handlers.

It was difficult to counsel at Aaron's because the entrance was set back behind the building.  We basically held our signs and brought a mega-phone to try to speak to those going in.  But evidently, the Lord was fed up with the arrogance of this place that thought they were untouchable after spending who-knows-how-much money to become a "Surgi-Center."

So, if I am asking myself the question again, I will say a resounding, "YES!  I believe that we could see the abortion industry in Dallas completely crumble on its foundation of sand!"  And, if we can see it happening in Dallas, why not Atlanta, then Charlotte, then Denver, and why not some place like Las Vegas!  The Lord is more than willing.  He is looking for a reason to show Himself strong and bring glory to His Awesome and Mighty Name!

Becky Puckett:  After many years of prayer and hours of standing in the gap at the entrance to Aaron’s abortion mill, our Lord has allowed us to see the seed of a faithful few come to fruition.  There are those of us who have planted and watered for many years that still remain today.  There are those who stood long before we ever entered this battle that have passed from death to life and are in the very presence of Jesus.  Some have just entered this battle in recent days advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ faithfully at the very gates of Hell.  Yet each of us enjoys the fruit of our labors and the increase of God’s Grace and Power.   Some have planted, some have watered, but God has given the increase.  We all rejoice together with the Great Cloud of Witnesses around us.  We thank God for all who have laid down their lives on behalf of those being led to slaughter.  And we thank the Lord Jesus that He has shut tight the doors of Aaron’s abortuary just as He shut tight the mouth of the lions for Daniel.
