Unlocking the Mysteries of Life…
is not something that Deathscort/security guard Pringle is interested in.

Ken Scott is a regular protester at the new Planned Parenthood facility in Denver. Ken has a heart for evangelism and he is determined to help Ron Pringle, deathscort/security guard and professing atheist to understand that there is one true God.
No one is allowed to smoke on the grounds at the abortuary so the security guards that are addicted to smoking must leave the grounds to get their fix. If Ron walks out a gate where the protesters are not standing it will look like he is slacking off and if he walks across the street he’ll be too far from his post, so he has to walk off the property and stand with the protesters. He makes himself a captive audience until he extinguishes his cigarette. Last week over the course of the morning Ken offered Ron the “Unlocking the Mysteries of Life” DVD (a fascinating video that looks into the question of intelligent design) to watch as long as he would not destroy it and return it unharmed. He declined to take it.
Ken decided to try one last time before he left for the day, he pulled over to the driveway where Ron was smoking yet another cigarette, held the DVD out the window and offered it to him. This time Ron took the DVD and flung it as hard as he could across the street, smashing up against a building, destroying the cover and the DVD itself. Before Ken called the police he told Ron that if he would pay to replace the DVD he would not make the call. Ron refused to take responsibility for his actions, so the police were summoned.
You would think that Mr. Pringle, a retired police officer, would understand that calling the police for something that could be remedied with common sense was going to make him look at best irresponsible. But apparently that didn’t occur to him. Or maybe he thought the “good ole boys” would overlook the whole incident. Not so, the police encouraged Ron to pay for the video, advising him that he would save himself a lot of trouble and time in court if he’d pay up. Ken drove away with $27.50 in his pocket and hopefully Ron grew up a little.
Rumor has it that Planned Parenthood is going to send Ron to anger management classes.
