Lavon Drive Baptist Church members, including our pastor, Bro. Gary, who had preached a bold Sanctity of Life sermon the previous Sunday, came out to Dallas' Northpark mill on Meadow Road. Since September the mill has employed a security guard who dogs our every step, calls the police on us constantly, and makes it as difficult as possible to hand out literature. Yet, with the help of /God Almighty/, two dozen simple Christians living out their witness on the street brought about the change of mind and heart that allowed a little baby to live. Not a single piece of literature had been handed out, no conversation between sidewalk counselors and in-going moms and dads was allowed to take place, yet Beatrice reported that a couple who was leaving stopped to tell her they had changed their minds - we had a baby save, hallelujah!!

A prayer service had been planned for later in the morning by OSA-Dallas leader, Ryan Kirchoff at Aaron's abortuary. In June last year, word went out that Aaron's, the only late-term abortion clinic in this part of Texas, was going out of business. We held our breath waiting. In September, it became official. Jubilation ensued! Just recently though, we heard that - No, Aaron had been sold. Thinking that more innocent lives would be destroyed in that wicked place, our hearts plummeted. In this situation, all we could do was turn the matter over to God in prayer.

As we drove up to Aaron's Saturday morning, we "looked carefully" for that death camp, but all we saw was a pile of rubble! Could we be in the wrong place? Where was that impressive building that had been so carefully and expensively renovated in 2004 to comply with the new Texas law requiring late term abortions to be performed in surgi-centers? We got out and walked around on the property slightly stunned to be treading on the blood-soaked ground once so jealously guarded by Glen. Glen was the omnipresent guard on duty when Kristene O'Dell, Becky Puckett, Dorrie Rayburn and I came out together to Aaron's. He was a black Muslim and sharp as a tack, but not smart enough to recognize his need for a Savior. Glen could argue theology up one side and down the other with you. He was raised in a Christian home but had abandoned those roots. Most of all, he was a lost soul. Dorrie recalled that when she told him she was praying for him, he replied, "So is my mom..." I wondered whatever happened to him. The scripture that came to mind was, *Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; _you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there. * *But the humble will inherit the land ... Ps 37:10-11*

As the wonder of the situation sank in, prayers and praise rang out to the heavens to a Mighty and Holy God who truly IS in control. We were over-whelmed by what He had done.

**Flip, too, was jubilant and full of praise and thanksgiving to God, when he learned that Aaron had been completely demolished. He shared these memories*:*

"When we first started in Dallas in February1989, there were 13 free standing abortion clinics, now there are five - not because of any laws that have been changed, but because of the witness of Christians. Twenty-three abortionists have stopped committing abortions, many because they were getting exposed by Christians. Some signed papers saying they would stop doing abortions if we wouldn't expose them.

"Aaron used to be in a high-rise on Preston Road in Dallas. They moved over to the LBJ location in 1996 or '97. I remember Mark Gabriel going onto the property when they were moving in. He was preaching the Word about the evil of killing little babies and some guy working on the building took an iron rod and tried to beat the snot out of him!

"For awhile the police were threatening everybody over signs. John Reyes, Ryan Kirchoff, Timothy Parker and some others got cited under an unconstitutional sign ordinance but the case was dismissed. There were a lot of battles fought at Aaron's and a lot of people who would love to see this day when Aaron's is turned to rubble. I know Ann Hollacher, Jim Reeves, Danny Dannemiller and Don Kanaley longed for this day.

"In 2002 we had the OSA National Event in Dallas.and filled Aaron's parking lot with people. The clinic manager, Betty Pettigrew, was screaming her head off at everyone. Bill Shanks drove that big RV up on the driveway. Bro. Bill got out and sounded the shofar and we prayed that God would bring that place to ashes, but they renovated it. Then
God saw fit to turn the whole thing under so that nobody would ever see it again!"
