"For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life." Proverbs 6:23

On Friday a woman went into the killing center and we tried to persuade her not to kill their baby. She came out to smoke a cigarette and she was crying. Carmen was pleading with her not to do this horrible thing to her child. She got real upset and came out to the sidewalk crying and yelling saying we don't understand, she cant have another baby, she already has two (a boy -1 and a girl-3) and there they are coming down the street with their dad. She told us they were in a homeless shelter because her house burned down. She went back inside and the dad was getting angry with us too. He came back out to the sidewalk because they don't let kids in the mill. It reminds the mom too much of what they are going to do.The mom came back out again. She said she changed her mind. Carmen asked her if she could give her a hug. She said "yes" and her whole demeanor changed!
Later on in the morning Carmen and Brenda went to the homeless shelter that she said she was at. The woman that runs the shelter just happened to be Carmen's cousin. No coincidence! They went in and a bit later Melissa and Matthew came with the kids. They were all happy and crying and it was a God ordained moment! Carmen p[rayed with them and asked what they needed. They needed some things at the grocery store (food and diapers, etc. ), clothes for the kids and they needed to get the small amount of items that they had left from the fire out of the storage in Hartford by Tuesday.
Monday, Carmen and Colbi went back to the shelter with the things they needed. We also gave them Mark Cahill's book and Gospel literature. Tuesday, Hector and Ron Rutherford took Matthew to Hartford to get their possessions. Sunday they want to come to church, please pray for this family! Pray for their salvation and pray that we help them find jobs and a place to live and get them back on their feet.
"Trials may come in abundance. But they cannot penetrate into the sanctuary of the soul when it is settled in God, and we may dwell in perfect peace." Hannah Whitall Smith

On Tuesday, a young woman (Shanika-18) was going in the death camp. She told us she was not ready to have another baby. She already has a one year old son. She is living with her mom and eight sisters. Her mom didn't want her to have an abortion and she never told her boyfriend that she was pregnant. She knows that her mom would not let her give up the baby for adoption. Andrea and Carmen spoke with her about how bad the abortuary is and what can happen to her inside. Carmen showed her the baby collage and all the moms that we helped and she showed her an 8 week old baby and read the description on the "Live & Let Live" pamphlet. She was determined to go in anyway. We prayed with her that she would feel and see her baby on the ultrasound and reminded her sister how important it was for her to try to save her niece or nephew's life including her sister's life. God would bless her.
They went in and she did asked if she could see her ultrasound and they turned the monitor for her to see and she saw her baby and she changed her mind. Her sister told her not to do it. PTL they came out and we were all so happy! We went to S&S to get her diapers for her son and she called her mom and told her the good news! Her mom (Sandra) was so happy we talk to Shanika. Carmen dropped her off at her friend's house and her friend thanked Carmen for convincing her to change her mind. She said that she refused to go with her to kill her baby. I said, you are truly a good friend for not going with her to the center. We gave God all the glory for all the great things He has done.
Another mom that changed her mind Tuesday, a white blonde student from University of Bridgeport, said the abortionist looked like he was on drugs. He has had this problem before, we have an article from the newspaper about him getting prescriptions in a improper manner and that he slapped a patient that was on the surgical table. Plus he has had problems with workers accusing him. Pray for his salvation, pray he repents.
Friday 1/23/09 10 prolifers came out, 17 moms went in, 3 moms changed their minds, 1 turned away. 13 babies were left to die.
Tuesday 1/27/09 18 prolifers came out, 17 moms went in, 3 moms changed their minds, 14 babies were left to die.
Please join us each Tuesday and Friday as we reach out to those who find themselves where they should not be. If not now, then when? If not us, then who? Today is the day of salvation. Today is the day to save a life being drawn to slaughter.
For the Least of These,
