The devil knows that we are coming!  That lying serpent is ready to fight hard against those who dare bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ within a few feet of his child-sacrificing altar – New Women All Women Health Care in Birmingham, Alabama.

We as Christians have nothing to fear however!  God promised the prophet Jeremiah that as he was to stand against the people of the land for their rejection of God, he would be rescued in the midst of the battle!

 “Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.” Jer. 1:8

That promise is for us today as well!  There is a battle raging in Birmingham, Alabama!  This was evident as a handful gentle Christians were greeted with eleven police cars outside of one of two high places in the city.  Birmingham’s police department threatened to arrest any Christians who would dare step onto the public sidewalk directly in front or to the side of the abortuary.  One didn’t have to say a word to be threatened with arrest, just the aroma of Christ flowing from him was enough to rattle the gates of hell!

This past Saturday, we prayed, counseled, and prepared our hearts for our week in Birmingham this coming July.  Operation Rescue’s/Operation Save America’s Rev. David Lackey hosted us while we were there, as did Pastor A.J. Johnson, whose home church has graciously opened their doors to us for the National Event.

Rev. Flip Benham was able to bring a timely message on Father’s Day to Pastor AJ’s congregation.  The Lord spoke through Rev. Benham as he encouraged the saints to stand for Christ and fight the furious battle that is taking place here in America.

Remember, although the prophet Jeremiah was hated, beaten, and thrown into jail for standing for righteousness, the Lord brought about his deliverance in the midst of his trials.  Trials will come when we boldly proclaim the life saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, yet we are not to be afraid of those trials. 

The words of Jesus:

"Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: "God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age."  Matt. 28: 18-20

We are to go everywhere with the Gospel of Jesus Christ – even the public sidewalks of our nation and of Birmingham!  Let us obey Christ and His commands, boldly proclaim His kingdom, and watch the gates of hell be lifted up as the He destroys the works of the devil before our very eyes!
