Brothers and sisters “hate crimes” legislation is now hovering and lying low in the House Judiciary Committee of the United States Congress.  It is patiently waiting for its opportunity to pounce on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and silence it forever.  President Obama has promised to sign it into law.  “Hate crimes” is a vehicle, authored by the devil himself, to censor the Gospel of Christ in America by calling it hate!  Truth is hate to those who hate the Truth. 

We must be ready, at a moment’s notice, to obey God rather than men and crush this unholy, unconstitutional, thinly veiled lie with all of the force of the public proclamation of the Gospel of Christ.  We are engaged in a battle over who is Lord and whose laws reign.  Is it God or is it man?  Is it life or is it death?  Is it blessing or is it curse?  Every man must choose.  There is no “common ground.”

Prepare yourselves, “…in order that satan might not outwit us.  For we are not unaware of his schemes.” 2 Corinthians 2:11.

Within days after his inauguration as President, Obama approved changes to the White House web site reflecting the priorities of his administration. The page on “civil rights” describes his plans to support the “LGBT” community — that’s “lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered,” in case you’re wondering.

He promises to pass federal “hate crimes” legislation to add the categories of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity.” With the current Democrat- controlled Congress, it could easily happen. Here’s the bottom line: such an unnecessary law would add penalties to crimes that are already crimes, if the perpetrator is opposed to homosexuality and perceived the victim to be homosexual, bisexual, etc. This is a thought crime law typical of fascist regimes. The crimes in question are punishable by law now, so the only reason to pass such a law is to legitimize homosexuality and make any speech or beliefs that oppose it fall under suspicion.

The so-called “epidemic” of hate crimes involving “sexual orientation” does not exist. In 2007, the FBI reported a total of 1265 total incidents involving sexual orientation bias occurred in the entire U.S.  The vast majority involved low-level offenses of assault or intimidation. And a little known fact is that some are perpetrated on homosexuals by other homosexuals. All are, again, already punishable as crimes when reported.

In the few countries that have passed such laws, Christians have been targeted for simply speaking out against homosexuality or even communicating what the Bible says. And sweeping “re-education” programs to make sure citizens, even children, have the correct approving attitudes, are often funded in hate crime bills. This goes under the misnomer of “crime prevention.”

 It was Thomas Jefferson who stated, “The legislative powers of government reach to actions only, not to opinions.”  Civil government is due our prayers, taxes, tribute, and submission to lawful authority.  It is not, however, due our faith, consciences, or thoughts.  No government official has the authority to determine our beliefs, regulate our faith, or punish our thoughts.  We are coming to Washington D.C., to appeal to our government to back off, stand down, and return to its lawful jurisdiction.  “Get out of our churches, quit policing our thoughts, and stop trying to sear our consciences by framing mischief by law.  This is where every liberty-loving Christian should stand, and America should do no less!!!”
