OPERATION SAVE AMERICA - Connecticut

Pastor Philip (Flip) Benham joined us again for another weekend of ministry on the streets of New Haven near Planned Parenthood and Yale University. Flip and the rest of the crew had a very interesting time Friday and Saturday mornings as they stood on the corners with their signs. Flip was comparing the German holocaust to the American holocaust. Flip challenged folks as they rushed by him, many with back packs propped on their shoulders. He would ask them "How could it be in Nazi Germany that people would walk by the death camps and do nothing or say nothing just as if everything was fine?" Then he would answer the question as he pointed to the huge brick building on the corner of 345 Whitney Ave and Edward Street: "Just like you are doing right now."

What did Jesus command us to do in His most holy scriptures? He commanded us to speak up for the speechless. He commanded us to rescue those unjustly sentenced to death. He commanded us to preach the gospel to every creature. He commanded us to go out to the highways and bi-ways and set a standard in our communities. He commanded us to reach out to the lost and needy. He commanded us to tear down the high places where little boys and little girls are sacrificed to Satan. And that is what we do as we go out to the death camps in our community and plead with moms not to kill their children. We share the gospel with them. We reach out to them with physical and spiritual help.

Many children's lives are saved because of this. In the past 19+ years almost 1900 children have been saved locally that we know of. Many lost have been spared from Hell because you were faithful to witness on the streets. Almost 400 people have confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior because of the Christian witness on the streets. But its not all good, we also have been spit at, sworn at, ridiculed, mocked and mulch more. We have lost friends and family -- but Jesus warned us that we would be persecuted for His sake but  He also said to "Rejoice!" when this happens. Its not always easy doing the right thing.

"From everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children's children." Psalm 103:17

One of the young ladies stopped her car to take literature from Ed as she went into the Planned Parenthood parking lot. She told him she was not going for an abortion but for another service they could provide for her without insurance. When she parked in the lot, Brenda called to her "Honey, would you go to a Nazi death camp for free medical care?" She stopped in her tracks and stared at Brenda and said "How did you know my name?" Her name was Connie. The "honey" sounded to her like "Connie". She came over to us and we talked to her and gave her a DVD and a LoveMatters.com newspaper and resource list. She said she changed her mind and was not going to go in there. She would try to find another place on Monday. PTL!

Mom Zotti came home from the nursing home Friday. Thanks to all of you for your prayers. She is doing well. PTL!  Friday night we had an awesome bible study with Pastor Flip and Fr Francis. Saturday night we had a great time of fellowship at the Eldredge's in Monroe and celebrated Tom's birthday. Sunday service at the Hampton Inn was awesome as God used Pastor Flip to preach an awesome message as we had communion together. I have DVD's of these services. Let me know if you want them.

Please join us each Tuesday and Thursday at 3787 Main Street, Bridgeport. We are in New Haven on Saturdays at the Planned Parenthood on 345 Whitney Ave. It is never boring to do the things of God, our lives are exciting and full of testimonies of what the Lord will do - just show up and see.
