PRAY – We Are On Our Way
Rev. Rusty Lee Thomas with foreword by Rev. Flip Benham 5/16/2009
Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,
There is an old saying, "pray like everything relies upon God and work like everything relies on you. In other words, "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." If one prays, one should also consider volunteering to labor in God's Kingdom. Jesus said that he would make us fishers of men. Charles Spurgeon commenting on our Lord's promise stated, "If we are not fishing, we are not following."
Faith without works is dead. If we hear the Word, the call, and charge of the Holy Ghost and refuse to apply it to our lives, the Bible warns that we are walking in self-deception. May this wretched condition be removed from the Body of Christ as we seek the Lord for another "Great Awakening" and revival in our blood-stained, perverted land. Yes, darkness is covering the earth and gross darkness the peoples. God doesn't want us to wring our hands, give up, or go backward. He desires that we arise and shine for our light has come and His glory has risen upon us (Isaiah 60:1, 2). Today, we begin our journey to the land of thick darkness, Washington DC. We are entering the belly of the beast once again with the sword of the Spirit unsheathed. We do not know what to expect, we only know that we are duty bound to go. There is some important mail that must be delivered in our nation's capital. For those of you not coming, brethren pray for us. Pray that when we address the media and our government officials that we will speak the truth in love and they would not be able to resist or refute the self-evident truth. Thanks! Rev.
