We had a wonderful trip to Washington DC to stand up for Jesus and His word! The ride up there was a little rough, took us over seven hours. We are grateful to Pastor Bob Hoyt from Living Springs Fellowship who gave us his 15 passenger van to use. PTL! When we arrived in Washington DC we checked into the Comfort Inn and met with the others for a strategic meeting to plan the events for Monday. We all got our marching orders and off to bed we went.

Here are two officers protecting the capital area.
We rose early Monday morning and had breakfast at 6 AM in the hotel. We received more marching orders and were off to our destination - the Supreme Court - by 7AM. We had a press conference there at 8AM and got our packets and assignments and were off to the senate offices to address our senators. They were in the Hart Building, the Russell Building and the Dirkson Building. Our group from Connecticut were assigned 14 senators and then we made extra visits to our own Senator Chris Dodd and Senator Joe Lieberman.

It was pretty quiet in the senate office buildings, not much was going on. No senators could be found, we had to plead our cases to the interns working in each office and we gave them each a packet to give to their senator. In Dodd and Lieberman's office, we all left our names and addresses and requested a response from our senators. Dodd's intern was a very nice polite young man. Lieberman's was a young lady who was not very pleased with us. Probably because Lierberman is a co-sponsor of this bill and she did not agree with us. The other senators' interns were mostly in favor of us, a majority of the Republicans said they were voting against it, a Democrat was undecided.

Here we are in Senator Chris Dodd's office. Dodd and Lieberman had the biggest and nicest offices.

We met back at the Supreme Court when we were done and had another press conference. There were a few reporters at both meetings. Our national director, Pastor Philip (FLIP) Benham spoke, Rusty Thomas from Elijah Ministries gave a prophetic word and Michael Marcavage gave testimony about when 11 Christians, including himself, were arrested, jailed and charged for hate crimes just for witnessing on a public sidewalk near a gay pride event. These dear saints were facing a 47 year sentence in Philadelphia, the birthplace of our American freedom.

Here are Doc Johnston's children with signs, he is training them up in the way of our Lord.
After that we made our way over to the Capital building as Pastor Dale Sochia sang wonderful praises to our Lord and King that could be clearly heard in that whole area.
"I have loved you with an everlasting love." Jeremiah 31:3

Here we are in front of the capital building, the whole group from OSA National that was still present after noon Monday.
We later went to Pennsylvania Avenue for a delicious lunch of flatbread pizzas etc. and had a wonderful trip home with no traffic! It took us about five and a half hours to get home. We thank God that He enabled us to do his work. We delivered the mail now its up to the recipients, they are accountable before our Lord and King. Please pray for this situation as you pray our nation back to God.
