"GAY PRIDE" EVENT

JUNE 28, 2009, WICHITA, KANSAS 

19 salty saints from Spirit One Christian Center and three from another church went to the Wichita "gay pride" event on Sunday to bring the Lord's truth to people desperately in need of it.

First the bad news.  The event this year was larger than any previous year.  There were also more children and young people.  It was incredibly sad.  While Sodom was parading itself (Is. 3:9) in the streets of Wichita, out of the 600 plus churches in Wichita, as far as we know, only two were represented to stand for His righteousness.  Again, incredibly sad.

The good news, there were many opportunities to witness both inside and outside the park.  We passed out many tracts and flyers.  I spent much of the time inside the park walking around holding my bible up high with the words Holy Bible printed large on the front.  I was able to stay inside the park the whole time.  As I walked around a "security" person and others followed me everywhere I went.  I called them my personal security guard with a gospel train.  :o)

I had brought with me a state code and a city code printed off which basically states that one can not sell or distribute pornographic material or sexual items that are in view of children.  Several vendors were doing so.  I went to the same Sgt. that arrested me last year and told him.  He said show me.  We went to the first vendor and I showed him.  He said that if he saw any children at the table then he would address it.  I told him children in the park is enough.  He did not respond.  I then went to the next vendor on the other side of the park.  It just so happened that when we got there, there were in fact children at the table.  I said look there are children here looking at a table with "colored" condoms.  Sgt. Moore said that it was a booth by the state health department ... nothing he could do. 

Interestingly enough, towards the end of the day, we were getting ready to leave and had left the park.  From the outside Sakia notice a little girl (around 4 years old) at that same table.  She was playing with an opened purple condom.  Pictured below.  Of course the police did nothing.

Parading in the streets of Wichita were many crossdressers.
