The Susan G. Komen Boondoggle
Jo Scott with foreword by Rev Flip Benham 10/10/2009
The survivors of breast cancer along with family and friends waited for the sound of the starter gun to begin the race while Colorado Right To Life, American Right To Life, and Pro Life Colorado prepared to expose the link between abortion and breast cancer to the runners. The race began at the bottom of the hill just before I-25 merges with Speer Blvd. and continued up the hill past an enthusiastic orchestra located on the median separating four lanes of traffic on either side of the boulevard. When the racers jogged beyond the bandstand they were able to see the truth signs looming over them at the top of the hill. One large sign on a truth truck said,”Breast Cancer’s Most Avoidable Risk - Abortion” Another touted “Abortion Increases Breast Cancer by 40 Percent.” A sign so large that it was held up by two people standing on ladders offered a surprising quote from one of the local Denver Komen officials. “We tend to focus on the cure…we’re focusing on that, rather than the preventative.”
Dr. Brind is not the only authority decrying the bill of goods being sold to women. In an article published in Ethics & Medics by Edward J. Furton, M.A., Ph.D titled “THE CORRUPTION OF SCIENCE BY IDEOLOGY,” Dr. Furton addresses the cover up associated with the abortion breast cancer link: “The most recent example of this problem is the denial of the abortion-breast cancer link. In the November 2004 issue of Ethics & Medics, Angela Lanfranchi, M.D., carefully examined the recent claims of Valerie Beral and others whose article in The Lancet denied that there was any increased risk for breast cancer among women who have had an abortion. There clearly is … “The Beral study is therefore cause for alarm. When a leading scientific journal allows its pages to be used as a political platform, and sets aside objective standards of scientific research, we must begin to wonder whether the spirit of Derrida has infected even scientific discourse. Scientific papers should arrive at conclusions based on a review of the facts. Picking conclusions ahead of time, and arranging the evidence to support them, will only serve to undermine the respect that scientific inquiry deserves. All of this would seem to be obvious, but the fact is it must be said. “To speak against the secular dogmas attending abortion is to suffer public censure, but those who seek to protect such outdated dogmas against the advance of science are now the scientists themselves. When Galileo was forced to abjure the theory that the Earth revolves around the Sun, he reportedly said in an audible mutter, ‘And yet, it moves.’ Today, in view of the denial of any link between abortion and breast cancer, we can say, with Galileo, ‘And yet, it is there.’ ” 53,800 hopeful race participants raised more than $2,000,000 for Komen in Denver alone. Sadly, the money will go to further perpetuate a lie that, as Dr. Brind stated in the previous video, will be the cause of 25,000 unnecessary new breast cancers a year. We must make videos like this one exposing the lies of the breast cancer profiteers readily available to woman by posting them on sites like Facebook and our own web pages. We can post them as comments in online blogs and newspapers. We can use their pink ribbon brand to expose the cover-up. And as always we must use our creativity and ingenuity in conjunction with prayer to get the word out. They’ve got money and that’s all they have, we have Jesus! |

The morning was brisk and clear as the participants for the Komen Race For
Members of the truth team also displayed signs and handed out literature on the median. The message of life and hope although taken to heart by some, for the most part was met with jeers, sneers and loud boos that drowned out the music of the band. There is a very good reason for the response of the runners. They are told over and over again by the media elites, (who only cover the junk science community and “charities” like the
