The Jews Traded God for a King and Christians have Traded God’s Word for a Political Prowess

From personhood to healthcare Christians are not victorious because they are so easily moved from a stand on the truth of God’s word to standing with a political party.  Just as the Jews traded God for a King, the body of Christ has traded God’s word for a political prowess.  The baby in the womb has been a “person” in the womb since Adam and Eve conceived their first child.  God said it and that settles it.  The Supreme Court’s ruling in the case of Roe v. Wade did not change one jot or tittle of God’s word, right??? 

In the late 70’s and early 80’s, politicians and lawyers convinced Christians that the only way to end abortion was to regulate it.  (God, please forgive us.)  Christians used to walking by sight and not by faith, left their first love and abdicated the power of God’s Truth to the fleshly legalese of lawyers and impotent regulations of politicians.  In so doing they squandered their opportunity to stand in faith for the children and quenched the conviction of the Holy Spirit. 

Now, instead of the whole world understanding that murdering children in the womb is an abomination, we are reaping what we’ve sown to the flesh; fifty million murdered children. Millions of young women’s lives have been devastated in the aftermath of their abortions, and the family is broken and under constant attack. 

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.  Galatians 5:19-21.

Thirty-seven years later, and the Christian Church has gained neither wisdom nor strength.  The same thing is taking place with the proposed government takeover of healthcare, right before our eyes.  Government intervention in health care is immoral and anti-God.  How do I know that?  God says that we are to be responsible for ourselves.  We do not have the right to steal from anyone to take care of us or our families. 

God did not give us the right to healthcare.  He gave us the right to life, and freedom in Him to worship Him.  Any and all other responsibilities that go along with being human belong to the individual, not the government.  If our responsibilities cause hardships, we have our Father in heaven, the church, and those who love us to help and comfort us.  We have no right to empower our community or government to rob another for personal gain.

We Christians have forgotten that God alone is capable of righteousness.  Believing in the vote instead of the Bible has blinded the body of Christ.  Wisdom and understanding come from God - not sly politicians. 

“Get wisdom! Get understanding!  Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom.  And in all your getting, get understanding.”  Proverbs 4: 5-7       

Ungodly politicians understand that Christians don’t want their tax dollars to be spent on the senseless killing of innocent unborn children.  Legislators are cunning.  They know that if they create a crisis they can enact legislation that will promote their agenda.  The national healthcare bill is a prime example of just how cunning our representatives can be. 

They have aptly deflected the discussion away from the immorality of socialized healthcare by manipulating Christians with an engineered abortion argument.  They’re playing the Christian church like an old fiddle.  Politicians knew that when Christians heard that funding for abortion would be included in the bill, they would work themselves into a frenzy raising money and media attention to keep abortion out. 

Do you see what happened?  Politicians understood that in our frenzy, Christians would actually help direct the argument away from the fact that the bill is immoral and anti-God on its face.  Instead of keeping abortion out of the healthcare bill, well intentioned Christians insured that a national healthcare bill is taken for granted.  Then all that is left is regulation, the devil and the bureaucrat’s version of winning the lottery. 

Regulations will root nationalized healthcare into the fabric of our nation.  Please remember that the United States of America has erased God from public policy, therefore neither God nor His people will have a say in the planning of healthcare for this nation’s people. A socialized healthcare plan will insure that abortion and euthanasia be paid for with tax dollars and every vile and wicked imagination of man will be included; if not this year, then next or the next. 

Our nation has fallen so deeply into sin, not because of a wicked world, but because of a church that has fallen from grace.  Please pray that we, the body of Christ, will seek wisdom and have the strength to employ it. 

That, my friends, is exactly what happened to the “Personhood Movement” back in the late 70’s and early 80’s.  Politicians and lawyers decided that the only way to end abortion was to regulate it – not stand on the absolute truth that a person is a person at the beginning of biological development.  (God please forgive us.)  Christians, not used to walking by faith, left their first love and abdicated the power of God’s Truth to the fleshly works of lawyers and politicians.
