Portrait of the American Church
Yesterday Rep. Bart Stupak gave us a true to life portrait of the current moral state of the "Pro-life American Church."
It goes something like this; "I'm pro-life, I'm pro-life, I'm pro-life, except." When push came to shove (and please know that to be 100% pro-life without exception WILL ALWAYS COME TO PUSH AND SHOVE... always!), Stupak folded like a house of cards. But not before boasting of his district suddenly receiving over $700,000.00 for airport upgrades. Evidently the 30 pieces of silver in Jesus' day is now worth $700,000.00.
We can not expect the politician to be any more moral or principled than the church
Stupak did what he did because, "As the church goes so goes the nation." (See Dt. 28) Stupak did what he did because he and the church are conditionally pro-life. Some are pro-life depending on what it will cost them to do so.
When was the last time your pro-life church showed a video of a live abortion in the Sunday morning service? When was the last time your pastor lead the congregation to the gates of hell of an abortion clinic? When was the last time your youth pastor lead the youth of your church to a public school to show them signs of what abortion looks like? Long, long, time, you say? Never you say? Conditionally pro-life is not pro-life any more than calling a person 3/5ths a person is being anti-slavery.
Others are pro-life except for... (rape, incest, life of mother). The shedding of innocent blood is never justifiable...never. We do not confer the sins of the fathers upon the children. An abortion has never made any situation, better, never.
Rep. Bart Stupak specifically stated that he liked everything in the bill "except the funding of abortion and that he would stay true to his principles." He did not. Today he is promoting that he did a good thing. He pulled a Neville Chamberlain.
The are no pro-life Democrats...or Republicans
This has caused statements such as, "There are no pro-life Democrats." But you see, there are not any 100% pro-life U.S. Republicans either. When was the last US Congressman or Senator introduce a personhood bill? A bill that states something like, the Constitution of the United States will apply to all its citizens from biological conception to natural death? The answer - never. And why is that? Because neither the evangelical church nor the Catholic church is pro-life. In fact did you know that there are "pro-life" organizations that are not 100% pro-life. In fact the largest most influential pro-life organization in Kansas does not support personhood. They are 3/5ths pro-life. In Kansas, we can not find one Republican with the courage to introduce a Personhood amendment... not one.
Leftist, Marxists, Socialists, are now in control of your health care. This is just one more (very large) step in losing our freedom. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. Freedom has, will, and can come only through the Lord Jesus and his Word.
The day the church becomes 100% pro-life is the day we regain our freedom. Until that happens our freedom will continue, step by step, to forcibly taken from us.
Attend your favorite non seeker friendly, 100% pro-life church this Sunday. America will not survive if you don't.
