The primary goal of the "Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act" is to stop late-term abortions, supporters say. The state law makes it a felony for a doctor to abort a fetus at more than 20 weeks.
Prolifers should denounce this law and promote Personhood instead. Here's the argument:
"Don't kill me because it hurts" is not the same moral argument as "Don't kill me because it's wrong."
"Late term" abortion after 20 weeks isn't more wrong than than butchering a baby after day one. When it comes to abortion, "size doesn't matter." God sees and knows it's a baby from the start and expects the same from us. "Whittling away" at murder is not a solution to be pursued. This is the danger of "incrementalism." That's why Personhood is so important, especially timely, too, for Nebraska because with a Personhood Amendment to the State Constitution EVERY innocent person's life is protected by love and by law from their biological beginning until natural death (whether that death comes with or without pain.)
Pray for Nebraska Personhood Petition Ballot Initiative to begin soon.
