A Call to Fast!

Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn, Our national event in Charlotte, NC swiftly approaches. We are needing all hands on deck. The key to any successful military operation is air power. The nation that controls the skies takes the ground below. To defeat "the prince and power of the air" we are needing committed prayer warriors and righteous intercessors to join the battle for the souls of men, the lives of babies, and the future of America.
We need to employ every spiritual discipline Christ has granted His church to be the salt and light our nation needs in this desperate hour. Therefore, OSA is calling for a week-long time of fasting and prayer from June 26th-July 3rd, 2010. Please sign up yourselves and encourage others to do the same. Together, we can make a difference for time and eternity.
Spiritual Preparations for OSA National Event
"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke (Isaiah 58:6)?" Interestingly enough, in the beginning of this chapter in Isaiah, which promotes a God-ordained fast, the Lord calls for a powerful prophetic proclamation. God's Word declares, "Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins (Isaiah 58:1)." Though unpopular today, any Christian worth their weight in salt understands the necessity of first reforming the church to restore America back to the God of our Fathers and the Biblical principles that served our nation so well in times past. From July 17th-24th, Operation Rescue/Operation Save America is heading back to Charlotte, NC to fulfill this godly charge. OSA is a public proclamation charged to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom to the sin centers of America or as Rev. Flip Benham is fond of saying, "We are merely the wheels that bring the Church to the gates of hell." To help prepare the way, we are calling all Christians who have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church to join us in a week-long time of fasting and prayer. Our righteous goal is similar to that found in Isaiah 40:3-5, which states:
Starting after the lunch meal on Saturday, June 26th, OSA is calling all willing Christians to fast and pray to the lunch meal on Saturday, July 3rd. By God's grace, I am going to fast the entire time. Some may want to make a similar commitment. Others may choose to fast for only a small portion of the week or fast one meal a day. Whatever God lays on your heart to do, do it with all dispatch. All of us can do something to spiritually prepare the way of the Lord as we head to Charlotte, NC for our national event. Jesus taught, "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." In context, Jesus was rebuking his disciples for not exercising their spiritual authority to set a captive free. A father came pleading to the Apostles seeking relief for his son tormented by devils. Helplessly, the Apostles failed to work God's deliverance in the young man's life. Jesus, exasperated by their "unbelief" cried out, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring him hither to me." When the Lord miraculously set the boy free, the Apostles were curious to know the source of their failure. He pinpointed the problem as a lack of faith and the cure was fasting and prayer. In other words, we do not fast and pray to gain spiritual power and authority, we fast and pray to increase our faith. It is faith that pleases God, moves mountains, provides the victory that overcomes the world, and sets the captive free. It is this faith, the mind of Christ, the wisdom of God, and the anointing of the Holy Ghost that we need as we confront the gates of hell with the Gospel of the Kingdom. Please join the army of intercessors that will set aside June 26th-July 3rd to fast and pray for America, our national event in Charlotte, NC, July 17th-24th, and our future service to God. As way of reminder and inspiration, OSA called for a week-long time of fasting and prayer before our national event in Las Vegas. The Lord certainly took note and moved mightily on our behalf. Before boots were on the ground, He went before us and exposed the hidden works of darkness and shut down two "Unlicensed Surgical Centers." These centers were masquerading as "natural medicine" stores and were performing abortions in the Hispanic community. They were shut down right after our time of fasting and prayer and before we arrived in Sin City, USA.
Besides these powerful answers to prayer, the Las Vegas police department went out of their way to help facilitate our entire operations. We enjoyed incredible favor to set up and minister wherever and whenever we so desired. We were so moved by their professionalism, OSA leadership actually wrote them a letter of recommendation. They served us and Vegas with distinction. They were worthy of honor.
We believe all this was made possible as the saints of God denied their bellies, sought God, and prayed for His intervention. We were not disappointed, but were in awe at the presence and power of God everywhere our feet had trod. May we meet the conditions this year as well and "may God do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think according to His power at work in us (Ephesians 3:20)."
