National Event Report from Connecticut - Operation Rescue/Operation Save America

Twenty-one brothers and sisters from Connecticut were blessed to join others from all over our nation in Charlotte, North Carolina for our annual national event July 18-24. We had an awesome time of ministering on the streets and bonding with those from many different states. Every night Flip would ask us "if there was one thing we could do that would not fail, what would it be?" Our Sunday night started with the solemn assembly at Truth Temple Baptist Church. All the rallies for the week were there and we are grateful to Pastor Faw for his hospitality. Every morning there were different outreaches across Charlotte. We covered three abortion mills, many over passes and intersections with signs and literature and we had a picture display in the center of town of abortion history and facts.

Everyday lunch was provided by Calvary Baptist Church, the food and fellowship was great. After lunch there were seminars (on home schooling, public school outreaches, personhood, etc.). Others went to outreaches in the abortionists' neighborhoods passing out flyers telling the neighbors they have a baby killer living there. There was a daily outreach at Chic-Filet were the gospel was preached and literature was passed out to cars at the stop light. Some of the teens went to the mall to pass out Mark Cahill books and tracts.

On Friday the men visited a local mosque to tell the truth of the gospel. Others went to Presbyterian Hospital were two abortionists had offices - and were pleased to find out they were no longer there. We had gone there in February to pass out flyers exposing them and we were told the hospital asked them to leave. PTL! The most moving event was the memorial service we had for an aborted baby named Joel. If you think the pictures move you, seeing an aborted baby in person caused many to sob their eyes out.

I have some exciting news for the local pro-lifers! Our national director, Rev. Philip (Flip) Benham is coming to Connecticut this week. He is driving here Thursday with his lovely wife, Faye and their son Jonathan (19).

Friday night Pastor Flip will be preaching at Calvary Life Church, 179 E Johnston Rd in Cheshire, 7:30 PM service.

Saturday morning we will be out at Planned Parenthood, 345 Whitney Ave. New Haven near the Yale campus. 8-10 AM.

(Saturday afternoon a group will be going to Yankee Stadium for the Red Sox game and passing out Mickey Mantle tracts.)

Sunday morning Pastor Flip will be preaching at Milford Christian Church on 989 New Haven Ave. Milford 9:30 AM.

This past Saturday Wendee and I met with John Payne's Homeward Bound Bible Study at the Trumbull Mall.

They are interested in joining us out on the streets, PTL! the more people that come out the sooner the mills will close down.

Abortion will end in America when the Church of Jesus Christ decides it will end. Jesus said the "gates of Hell cannot prevail against His church". These abortion mills are the gates of Hell. They rip apart little boys and girls created in the image of almighty God! When will we wake up and get out of our comfort zones. Please join us Tuesday, Friday or Saturday mornings as we reach out to those who find themselves where they should not be! We will be there until the killing stops! In 1990 there were 2000 free standing abortion clinics listed in the yellow pages. Since Christians have been going out to these places.... now there are only 725. We can do that here in CT too.
