Interfaith Abomination
Below is a letter to the editor sent to newspapers in CT written by Becky Puckett and then an article in the Connecticut Post (yes, the same CT Post who fabricated the facts in their story to begin with). The terrible truth is that most of us professing Christians do not know how to argue with the “logic” being portrayed here – religious freedom. Becky hits the nail squarely on the head for all of us who have grown up in this day of relativism and humanism. Enjoy!
Dear Mr. Keppler,
The Truth will set you free. We live in a culture where there is a great battle over truth. Truth stands alone and is not defined by circumstances, but is defined by the fact that there must be a true standard upon which to build. Declaring truth will always arouse conflict in the midst of its hearers. Truth is absolute and will expose anything else brought into its light as a lie.
In this battle over Truth we have surrendered our minds and hearts to relative humanism and have discarded absolute Truth. There can be only one Truth. Our culture declares that each man should do what is right in his own eyes. History reveals that this way of living will bring destruction upon a nation whereas when Truth is lifted up as the standard righteousness prevails and lawlessness is suppressed.
It is no surprise that when one man or group of people would declare that there is one God, one Faith and that Jesus is the Standard that this would provoke a conflict. Jesus said, "I am the way, the Truth, and the Life and no man comes unto the Father but by me" John 14:6. This is an absolute which conflicts with each of us doing what is right in our own eyes.
In your article you stated, "The most un-Christ like Christian visited Bridgeport last week." In your own eyes this may appear to be truth but according to the words of Jesus this is not so. You are making a comparison to the same historical Jesus, yet you are not speaking truthfully of His character. I remind you again the Jesus of the Bible declared He is the only way, the only Truth, the only Life, and the only way to the Father.
The teachings of Islam are in stark contrast with the teachings of the Bible. If you choose to attain knowledge of both teachings you will understand that Islam is in direct conflict with this Truth, Jesus. As followers of Jesus we must proclaim that Islam is a lie or we would deny the Truth. You sir, have believed on another Jesus, a different spirit, and a different gospel according to 2 Corinthians 11. The Jesus of the Bible loves all mankind and will receive all who will come to Him on His terms alone. Jesus is the Standard and repentance and faith in Him alone is what He requires. "The Truth will set you free."
