Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn, As reported yesterday, a contingent of saints passed out the Word of God at a local Mosque in Wichita. Today, Pastor Mark received a phone call at home from a man named Salim. He asked for a return call and Pastor Mark quickly responded. Salim made known his great displeasure concerning the Christian witness at his Mosque. He said next time the response would be quite different. He proceeded to prohibit Pastor Mark from ever coming back. If he does, Salim hopes that Pastor Mark carries Blue Cross or Blue Shield. Immediately after the threatening conversion, I told Pastor Mark to call the police. They were at his house within five minutes. They have Salim's name and number and a complaint has been filed. Apparently, our little outreach rocked their world and stirred them up. This should not surprise us. When light confronts darkness, truth exposes lies and the Kingdom of God advances, evil spirits manifest. Please pray for Pastor Mark's protection and for the next outreach at this Mosque. Rev. Flip Benham will be leading the charge in a couple of weeks. May God's Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The following is another report from our good friends in New Orleans, the precious Sochia family, Pastor Dale, Michelle, and their three sons. Please tell Brother Mark we are praying for him. The husband of a Muslim worker at our clinic was waiting for us today and was furious with the statement "Islam is a Lie" on Jonathan's shirt. He was waiting on the front steps for me, with arms folded and very angry. He later came out and began yelling and threatening Leon from Br. Bill's church. Leon began to declare the deity of God and call out who He is. The man told us we'd see on judgement day and that we are all going to hell because allah is god. When he drove off, he continued to shout threats that if anyone talked to his wife again, he'd be back and "it wouldn't be good". I would not have had the chance to talk to his wife last week had she not came out the front door and stood outside to talk to me. I am going to try to share Jesus with any worker or passerby on the street. What is so crazy is how he stated how he agrees with us that abortion is totally wrong but then justified his wife working there because she is only a receptionist. Amazing! I am also amazed that their "religion" seems to have no concept of sin and it is no big deal to use the "F" word as the only adjective and verb they (both he and his wife) seem to know. They have so much anger. He asked me how I would feel if he came out with a tshirt that said Christianity was BS (course he said it). Tried to explain to him that Jesus is God and he continued to state that he was only a prophet. He was angry, looking for a fight, and had a closed spirit to the Truth unfortunately. I told my kids to shake the dust from their feet and focus on those passing who are open to the Truth. One lady was saved today! Glory! And as far as we can tell, no one had an abortion today. Praise God! As you can see, the battle is waxing hot my friends. The stakes are going up and I pray like the saints of old, if necessary, we would be found worthy to suffer for our Lord's name (Acts 5:41)! And let this saying be true for all of us, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord," regardless of the cost in Jesus' name! Vinny, |
