Pastor Mark Responds to General Patraeus
Pastor Mark Holick with foreword by Rev Flip Benham 9/8/2010
Gen. Patraeus Pulls A Neville Chamberlain
Gen. Patraeus Fulfills Prophecy of Dt. 28: 25, 49-51
Imagine, you are the senior commanding General of the US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, and US Marines. You are the commander of the best trained, best equipped, most powerful military force in the world. Now imagine a small church pastor (of course it is small because he speaks the truth unashamedly) plans to burn the idolatrous, hideous, Fascist, book called the Quran. So as the commander of the largest military machine known to man... do you care?
Patraeus does. (Click here for article)
Patraeus said that the "planned burning of the Quran by the small Florida church could put the live sof American troops in danger and damage the war effort."
What???
Folks we are in big big trouble when the US Supreme military Commander is fearful of the actions of a church in America. Put troops in danger? Really, you mean its not like the Islamists of Afghanistan have not already killed over 3,400 troops. And this is BEFORE any Quran is burned? So what, now they will try to kill 3,500 instead of just 3,400??
And what about this "damage the war effort?" Gen. Patraeus, do you really think you can appease this murderous, terrorist, Fascist ideology into appeasement?? Gen. Patraeus you don't realize it sir, but you just pulled a Neville Chamberlin. You think "being nice" to the enemy will appease him. America, we are in big trouble.
The article stated that in Afghanistan, protesters chanted "death to America." Uhhh, news flash folks, Muslims have been chanting this for oh, say 50 years or more? And they will continue to say as long as America exists - Quran burning or no Quran burning.
The article stated; But military officers said they hoped that Gen. Petraeus's statement-an unusual move since military commanders rarely get involved in politics-would convince Mr. Jones to change his plans. Herein lies the problem, first that our US Supreme Commander is actually making decisions based on fear. And second, that people think this is political when it is a spiritual battle between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent (Ge. 3:15).
The article stated; but westerners in Afghanistan have been warned away from restaurants and other public places amid the rising tensions. You mean that someone (Islamist/Muslim in Afghanistan) would attack or murder an innocent because someone burned a Quran? And you want us to appease and capitulate to barbarism such as this, Gen. Patraeus???
The article stated; Gen. Caldwell said many Afghans do not understand either the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment or the fact that President Barack Obama can't simply issue a decree to stop Mr. Jones from his demonstration. Military officials said they were not trying to deny Mr. Jones his right to free speech, but feared he was not thinking about the consequences of his actions. No Gen. Caldwell, you sir ARE denying (via your pressure) the right to free speech AND freedom of religion. You sir, by your words are trying to force this Christians and this pastor into appeasing the enemy as you are.
Qur'an (5:51) - "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."
Qur'an (1:5-7) - "Show us the straight path, The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray" This is a prayer that Muslims are supposed to repeat each day. "Those who earn Thine anger" specifically refers to Jews and "those who go astray" refers to Christians (see Bukhari (12:749)).
Pastor Terry Jones
I do not know Pastor Terry Jones, nor have I ever met him. But this is a man of courage and faith. This is a man who does not seek to please men. He has been mercilessly attacked for speaking the truth of Islam. He and all his congregation should be commended with the highest of Christian accolades.
