August 2010
125 babies were killed the days we were at the mills.
11 babies were saved in the month of August.
4 people prayed to make Jesus their Lord and Savior.
25 moms turned away from the mills when we were there but we don't know why.
TOTALS SINCE 1990: 2055 babies saved. 385 salvations. PTL!
 A mom changed her mind yesterday in Bridgeport. She was a little hard when we first approached her, but by the end of a long conversation we all had with her, she finally decided not to go in. She prayed the prayer of salvation and repented of a past abortion. She said she wished she had listened to us the last time she came here. She had tears in her eyes as we told her that the baby she killed was in Heaven with Jesus and if she was saved she could spend all eternity with that baby. Please keep praying for this mom.
Her friend was standing at he corner waiting for her after she changed her mind and came to breakfast with us. Nancy, Colbi and I took them to Dunkin Donuts and then Nan took them home. They were telling Nancy there should be more people like us around to help pregnant girls. She wants to go to church with Nancy on Sunday. Pray that her boyfriend goes too and pray for his salvation. He did not want her to kill the baby, either. She did not want her to have the abortion and was praying for her.
"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses, I call upon heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live!" Deuteronomy 30:19
We were all so excited and filled with the joy of the Lord. It was awesome! God is so good to allow us to co-labor with him. This couple also has a little boy, 3 years old. We encouraged her to consider marriage and doing things God's way. We told her the benefits of blessings and consequences of curses. It was a wonderful day of ministry. We also got to give a Muslim lady an Islam packet before she got on the bus. She was previously talking to Brenda about abortion and how bad it is. Brenda thought she was a Christian.
On Friday, August 13, the Summit abortuary was closed. PTL! We look forward to the day when it will be closed forever and babies in Bridgeport will be safe in their mothers wombs.
Nancy took a mom, Christy, that changed her mind on 8/27 to church on Sunday PTL! Please pray for Michael and Titiana, the couple that changed their minds when Flip was here. They have two boys (1 & 2 years old).
Carmen spoke to a couple going into PP and she realized she knew the father, it was someone she taught in Sunday School. She talked to him and they left but we are not sure if they changed their minds, so please pray. Another car with a mother and daughter came for a pregnancy test, we gave them info going in and they sat and read it in the lot.They left without going in. They called numbers on the resource list and found another place to go, The mom said she had no idea that they did abortions here. Carmen gave a tract (America Wants Change) to a cashier at Dunkin Donuts. The lady came running to tell Carmen she read the tract and wants to go to church. So Sunday she is supposed to go to Carmen's church. PTL!
 This is a mom that we met going into Planned Parenthood in New Haven. She prayed for salvation with Pastor Goodall. Colbi took her to the drugstore to get a pregnancy test and she found out she was pregnant. There were a few days of struggling with her decision. Colbi was faithful to call her and pick her up with her two children (ages 1, 2) and take them to church and over the Goodalls house for fellowship the past two weeks. She also brought her to Kelly and Carmen's to watch Eclipse of Reason. After days of uncertainty, our prayers were answered and she decided to keep her precious baby. PTL! thank you Jesus! Now Colbi is going to do a "discipleship" one on one bible study with her every week. Please keep her in your prayers. On this very same day, we met a couple that are missionaries to Pakistan. They were invited and went to Goodall's church on Sunday and we hope they can come with us when we go out evangelizing Muslims! PTL!  Usually we go to Dunkin Donuts after our ministry at the killing center in Bridgeport on Tuesdays and Fridays. On this day Brenda said to me, "There's a Muslim, hurry and give him a packet. I went running out the door and offered him the packet but he would not take it. He said he did not speak Arabic. Instead I gave him a Mark Cahill book "One Heartbeat Away" and the Jesus Project DVD. The first argument he gave me was that there isn't anyplace in the Bible that says "Jesus is God". We all gave him scriptures that implied that but it wasn't specific enough for him. It was a good lesson for Colbi, Kelly and me on witnessing to Muslims. Please pray for him to read the book, watch the DVD and get saved.
One day a lady, Maria, came to talk to us. She said that when she was 14 she came to the Summit center and Stan Scott talked to her and she changed her mind. Her son is now 26 years old, she said he is a fine young man and the apple of her eye.
Please join us out on the streets, 8 AM- 10 AM. (Tuesday and Thursday, 3787 Main St. Bridgeport. Saturday, 345 Whitney Ave. New Haven). We reach out to those who find themselves where they should not be. We will be there until the killing stops! We are the Body of Christ. Jesus is the head. We are His mouthpiece, His hands, His feet. If not us, then who? If not here, then where? If not now? then when? Just show up and see what God will do!
