Connecticut Street Faith - Operation Rescue/Operation Save America

On Friday, a young lady came and told us she changed her mind years ago and her two year old daughter, Samiyah, was born on 3/11/08. She said she is going to bring us a picture of her. She was at the clinic trying to get a friend out. Also on that day, another mom told us she changed her mind. Below on the left is a picture of her with Brenda. The mom's name is Carmen.

On the right, Carmen and Millie are talking to a Hispanic mom in New Haven. She did not speak English but was determined to go in. We prayed and pleaded with her not to abort. She finally changed her mind and left. Please keep her in prayer. She was really distraught. Her name is Gloria. We gave her a Stop & Shop gift card, our phone numbers, a resource list, booties, a Spanish new testament and a Spanish Mark Cahill book.

On the other block, Pastor Goodall and Linda met a Yale grad student from China. He just happened to be looking for a church!

He is going to start coming to their church (Haven of Rest) next week! There are about a dozen people coming now that they met on the street.

Plus all the saints were able to share the gospel to many people walking by! PTL!

Last Tuesday, in Bridgeport, I was giving out Rusty's tract on racism and abortion to the people waiting for the bus. We have a harvest ground there because all the people from the methadone clinic down the street are there daily. So we give them different things to read and have interesting conversations with them. This one man asked Vinny if he knew who Rusty Lee Thomas that wrote the tract was? Vinny said "yes" and then called me over. They guy was wondering if it was the same Rusty Lee Thomas he grew up with. I called Rusty on the cell phone and he talked to Phil. They were both so blessed to reunite. Phone numbers were exchanged. I ask you all to pray for Phil's salvation. We know all that wasn't a mistake but a God ordained moment.

Last Saturday at Planned Parenthood in New Haven a male client threw a full water bottle at Wendee. Police were called and he was given a ticket.

On Thursday, we had about a dozen saints that came out to Anthony's Ocean View Restaurant. We went there because Planned Parenthood of Southern New England was having a fundraiser and was auctioning off a week at an Italian villa, a private consultation with Patti Stanger, the millionaire matchmaker, a sail and dine on the Purple Tiger, a 30 foot sailboat, and a Mohegan Sun gambling getaway. This money would go to Planned Parenthood, the #1 abortion provider in our country and probably in the world. Our state affiliate gets 5 million dollars a year from the government. Why? To help women kill their children?

We were able to give out literature to those going in the driveway or walking by at Anthony's. Carmen and I had a few interesting conversations with the workers. Many were Hispanic. I gave one of them a Spanish Bible. Other workers talked to Denise on the left side. She just happened to be driving by on her way home from work and saw us and decided to stand with us! PTL! Brenda and Ed went around the right side and had many conversations with the guests. Others were holding signs over the wall for them to see what abortion really looks like.

Ed saw pro-abortion senator, Rosa DeLauro, going in around 6:45 PM. Carmen thought she saw Hillary Clinton but we couldn't verify that. The police were called and spoke to us, but everything was fine and went well. The mission we set out to do was accomplished. One black man going in was very surprised about PP and black genocide. I told him to go to www.youTube.com and look up Maafa 21. Another unidentified man was across the street taking pictures of us. Channel 8 News also came and videoed what we were doing. The reporter never even asked us anything?

This Saturday we had a group in New Haven and in Bridgeport. After that, at least 16 of us attended a seminar about witnessing to Muslims. We all are interested in evangelizing. Pastor Fred, who was brought up in Islam and converted to Christianity in college was interesting. (www.JesusForMuslims.org) He spoke about who our Muslim neighbors are and compared Islamic and Christian beliefs. Another speaker, Pastor Steve, was a Jew converted to Christianity. I don't know if he was naive or simply so intellectual he couldn't perceive that he was actually promoting Islam. He had many suggestions that would take a whole lot of time and effort trying to make Muslims your friends.

Some ideas he had that really struck me were:

Externally become like Muslims, have the Muslim teach you about Islam, go to Muslim Sunday School, prepare a room for them in your house for when they come over, without statues or pictures of living beings (cover them with sheets if need be). Have clean towels for them to use as a prayer rug, have plenty of towels in the bathrooms since wudu can be messy. They clean three times before prayer: their hands, feet, nostrils, ears, etc. He said to have a watering can in the bathroom. It sounded more to me like he was trying to turn us into Muslims.

Pastor Steve also advised Christians to phone Muslim friends whenever there was negative media coverage about them and make sure they know they have your emotional support. He said such protests as those conducted by Americans against building mosques has made Muslims fearful. (Sounds to me like he is believing the media.) He even went as far as to say that on September 11, 2001 when the Twin Towers were brought down and 3,000 Americans were killed, he went to the mosque to make sure the Muslims were OK! Please pray for him. He reminded me of the "seeker friendly" Christian that is so nice, they never speak to you about your sin. Therefore, the lost are never convicted of their wrongdoing and never realize they need to repent and receive the Savior!
