I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (3 John 1:4)
As some of you may know, the Lord has blessed our family with thirteen children. Two of them have passed on and eleven remain to serve the Lord. As a father and minister of the Gospel of the Kingdom, it is rewarding to know that my children seek to walk in the truth and advance God’s Kingdom and great salvation amongst men.
Thankfully, there is not only a physical seed, but a spiritual seed as well. There are sons and daughters in the faith. One young man recently worked diligently to rally the church and Christians to be salt and light in the culture of death, especially, as it is manifesting in the corrupt and deadly city of Chicago.
As elder men in the Body of Christ, it should be our desire to train up and send forth the next generation of leaders a time like this demands. It is important to steady the ladder and allow the next generation of committed Christians to go further up and further in to serve their King. One such young man is Mario Navarro. The following is his report on the Wake-Up Chicago conference. Be encouraged saints.
This last week of September 23-27th we had our Wake-Up Chicago conference. Metro Praise International was gracious enough to not only open their doors, but to join in the mission as well.
They are one of the few churches who stood up against the tyranny of the shutdowns. We had many fruitful outreaches such as reaching the magistrates (Open Letter to Police). We passed out hundreds of “What is Happening to America” tracts at strategic places in the city. Great speakers, such as, Tom Hoefling, TJ Hughes, Kristine Harhoef, Tyler Turdici, and Jared Walker declared truth in love. I can say unequivocally that this mission was a fruitful one.
The climate in the city made for the perfect storm as far as things went with protests, and the death of RBG. God moved in the hearts of many people as we were able to minister at some of the BLM protests alongside brothers from MPI. We shared that true justice begins and ends with the Gospel of the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Micah 6:8 declares, “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
Many people were recruited onto the mission from the streets, and many were also reconnected to local churches. The Lord has been calling out the remnant and reclaiming them for His glory and their benefit.
All and all, our city was called to repent for the shedding of innocent blood the rejection of the gospel, repent and believe the Gospel. The Kingdom of God is at hand.
May Christ be praised. – Mario Navarro
