Here is Rusty’s report on the progress of our court case against the city of Jackson Wyoming.  Pastor flew to Cheyenne, Wyoming, to be present at the hearing.   ~ Flip

Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,

Pastor and I had the blessing to be at the Wyoming Supreme Court with our wonderful attorney, Jack Edwards. He did a masterful job defending our rights, while dismantling the city of Jackson’s case against us.

It is amazing to consider that Operation Save America did a regional event in Jackson, WY and six months later it is still reverberating throughout this state. It continues to be front page news.

The city of Jackson was so concerned about this case going before the Wyoming Surpeme Court, they sent the top five leaders of their city to observe it. The mayor, city manger, city attorney who argued their case, and LT. Guillam who sought the TRO/injunction against us were present in the court room. Apparently, they are deeply concerned about the outcome of this case. They are either frightened by a lawsuit or intend to use it again to censor the Gospel light that shines upon the darkness of child-killing tolerated in their city.

As most of you know WY is one of the five states that makes up the States of Refuge campaign. Please continue to pray for this vision and mission. We will be going back to Wyoming and it would be a great blessing to see this TRo/injunction defeated in Jesus’ name!

Wyoming Supreme Court Considers Abortion Case

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – The town of Jackson violated anti-abortion protesters’ rights when it secured a court order prohibiting them from appearing on the town square, a lawyer told the Wyoming Supreme Court on Thursday.

Laywer Jack Edwards, representing the anti-abortion group Operation Save America, argued that it was improper for the town to secure a court order barring activists from appearing within two blocks of the town square in May. The town didn’t notify protesters beforehand that it was seeking the order.

“There are many procedural errors,” Edwards told the court. “To not rule on this would create a blueprint for the squelching of protected speech in the future.”

Audrey Cohen-Davis, lawyer for the town, argued Thursday that it was proper for the town to secure the restraining order from District Judge Timothy Day.

Cohen-Davis said city police feared possible violence if the protesters, who previously had been showing graphic signs of aborted fetuses around Jackson, came together on the town square with about 200 Boy Scouts and their families who were gathering for an annual auction of elk antlers.

“Parents taking their Boy Scouts to the Elkfest event did not expect to have a group subjecting their children to such material,” Cohen-Davis said.

Police arrested two anti-abortion protesters at the event.

Operation Save America, a national group, said it had picked Jackson for its anti-abortion campaign in an effort to make Wyoming the first state in which no doctors would provide abortions. The group targeted Dr. Brent Blue, a family practitioner, whom the group said is the only doctor in the state to offer abortions.

Justice E. James Burke questioned Cohen-Davis closely about the town’s failure to notify Operation Save America before seeking the court order.

Burke noted that the U.S. Supreme Court has said there’s no place in the law for issuing restraining orders without notice that deprive people of their basic freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment unless there’s proof it was impossible to notify them and give them an opportunity to participate in the court hearing.

Cohen-Davis responded that she didn’t want Operation Save America protesters to know who she was. She said Jackson was in a very volatile situation when the protesters were in town.

“Isn’t our system sort of based on both sides having an opportunity to present their position to the court?” Burke asked.

Rusty Thomas of Waco, Texas, is assistant director of operations for Operation Save America. He and other members of the group attended Thursday’s court hearing in Cheyenne.

Speaking after the hearing, Thomas said the group had about 40 or 50 protesters in Jackson for five or six days in May. “We felt it was our duty as Christians to make that challenge,” he said.

Thomas said his group was in close contact with Jackson law enforcement during the protest, but received no advance notice the town was going to court to block its demonstration. “They did not make any attempts to tell us,” he said. “We were set up.”

Thomas said the group wants the Wyoming Supreme Court to issue an order saying what the town did was wrong. “What happens when we go back? And we do intend to go back,” Thomas said. “Are they going to pull this out and go after us in the future?”

The court took the case under advisement and will issue a written decision later.

Our witness in Jackson, Wyoming, as we brought the Gospel of Christ to the state’s only remaining abortionist and abortion mill, is still front page news in Jackson.  Can you imagine simple little Christians living out their faith in the streets of a city could create such a news story?  Well, yes if Almighty God is in it!   Enjoy and here is the link!      ~ Flip

What about the question of rape? This video (a little over four and a half minute long) says it all. This impromptu denunciation of the lie of rape is powerfully proclaimed by a young mother of a dead baby in Jackson, Mississippi. be sure to share it with others. ~ Flip

Many of you remember father Francis McCloskey as a man of utter brilliance, incredible humor, and a rich deposit of historical fact.  But more than anything, he was and still is an eloquent voice for God’s preborn children.  His brother Jim wrote me and relayed this message.  “Dear Flip, I don’t know whether you know that my brother, Fr. Francis, is in a nursing home in Albany, NY with early onset dementia, complicated by possible Parkinson’s disease.  Please pray for him.  Jim McCloskey.”

Below is my response, and some great pictures of Father Francis, his brother Jim, and the saints in Connecticut. ~ Flip

 Dear Jim,

Yes, we know about Father Francis.  Thank you so much for thinking about me and making sure that I did know.  Beth has been very good at keeping us all updated.  We have been praying for him, especially in this difficult season in his life.  Yes, it is a season, but it is certainly not the end.  Thank God for Jesus who demonstrated the absolute truth of this through His resurrection.

Your brother makes me smile every time I think of him or pray for him.  His mind was so razor sharp and his love for life and all those around him just makes me smile.  I can’t help it.  Check it out and see if this isn’t true with others who know him well.  At first they will be sad and grave over the difficulties he is presently suffering through.  But then, as they start remembering him and the wonderful times they had with him, a huge smile will begin to appear on their faces and their whole countenance will lift.

Who laughed more than your brother?  Who lit up a room more than your brother?  Who dared to do great and impossible things for God more than your brother?  Who could see, in very ordinary things, the extraordinary works of Almighty God better than your brother?  Who could take a very boring trip and make it the most fascinating adventure ever, better than your brother?  Who knew history and His story better than your brother?

Your brother is free because he knows who he is and where he is going.  This is his incredible secret that is available to all of us through Christ Jesus.  When I spoke to him I always felt bigger than I really was.  He made me feel that way.  Though his intellect far surpassed my own and his knowledge of history unfathomable, I always felt like a better man after being with him.

Now Jim, it is upon you to help him navigate through the difficult trials and tribulations of this season in his life.  How?  Simply by reminding him, every day, of what a blessing he was and is to so many of us who are praying for him.

God bless you Jim.  Please keep me updated.

In Christian love,

Flip

Our brother Chet shares his heart and the heart of our heavenly Father in a unique perspective of what happened as the Church of Jesus Christ in Mississippi failed to do what only she can do – storm the gates of hell so that they will not prevail!

Pray and think upon this.  ~Flip

From where it first started, tragically the slaughter continues…

Many of you, dear friends and more, have interceded passionately, crying out to God for the personhood efforts here in Mississippi to succeed. All of us “on the ground” want to thank you for doing so faithfully. Surely God is pleased with your cries to heaven on behalf of the least of His. I was not surprised to receive many messages, phone calls, and e-mails this morning after the announcement last night that the smallest and most helpless baby boys and girls in Mississippi would continue to be crushed within their mothers womb. I told Flip that I was grieving both for the babies who will die day after day and also for the church members who welcomed and embraced the enemies’ stratagems. Tens of thousands here drank in every implausible argument to justify their defiance of the Word of God, casting their vote to let the killing continue unabated. “God is not mocked…”

On Monday, Fox news reported accurately our declaration that “It’s always a baby…it’s always been a baby…it will always be a baby and there’s never a good reason to kill an innocent child in the womb.” Still abortion would ultimately not end in Mississippi, where it began first in 1966, due largely to the complicity and/or inaction of the church.  So often I heard these words from those naming the name of Jesus, “I’m prolife but this bill confuses me.” “I can’t vote for this because I’ll lose my birth control and IVF will be banned.” Only 48 hours ago I had discovered a verse I’d never seen, Isaiah 59:4 says in the NKJV: “No one calls for justice, Nor does [any] plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity,” and so the reason this evil was “conceived” and iniquity was brought forth is because, rather than choosing His Words of life, they chose to “trust in” empty words or as the NASB translates, “trust in confusion.

Still many God fearing believers prayed and passed out tens of thousands of pieces of literature denouncing the deceit; in fact, we were privileged to have over 70 friends come here to Mississippi from 14 states join us in the final days. In the end all we could do was to cry out to God and so on election day I invited Ron Duhe, my stalwart 70 year old comrade, to join me in one final day’s intercession. Rising early on Tuesday we drove through all seven southern Mississippi counties that we’d first petitioned in together nearly two years earlier. We determined to pray “on-site with insight” traveling to every polling place we could reach from 7 AM to 7 PM. We believed it was all we had left we could do, and found it to be a liberating and Spirit empowering 12 hours of intercession!

We certainly stumble along the way, even may question the outcome of our labor for Him; still He allows us to finish strong, imparting confidence to go from this place better equipped than ever to fight this good fight of faith. Montana, Nevada, Colorado, Ohio, Florida, Oklahoma and more are before us AND…you are invited to “just show up” on the next battleground. Make no mistake I do not minimize the significant tragedy of this defeat, nor the casualties that will follow, but let these words of William Wilberforce challenge you and me to move forward, pressing tenaciously toward the prize of ending the slaughter:

“So enormous, so dreadful, so irremediable did the trade’s wickedness appear that my own mind was completely made up for abolition. Let the consequences be what they would: I from this time determined that I would never rest until I had effected its abolition.”

No King but King Jesus!

Doug Huband is a good friend of mine.  He is a great writer and deep theological thinker.  He brings what happened in Mississippi yesterday to the fore.  He does it by a very short satire.

Note:  In the satire, it was the Israelites not the Philistines that were the biggest impediments to the passage of Amendment 26.

Sad…

Philistine-Educated Israelites Vote To Suppress Truth.  Philistines Rejoice

In a surprise to many yesterday, the vast majority of Israelites in the land of Mississippi voted down a change to the ruling Philistine’s Constitution.   The amendment, which stated in part, “The LORD is God Almighty.  His Moral Laws must be obeyed.  Among these are: ‘Thou Shalt not Kill the Innocent,’ ” was handily defeated.

Philistines rejoiced at the news of the amendment’s defeat.  “Yes!  The killings will continue!   Let’s party!” exclaimed one Philistine woman.  Many Israelites were also relieved.  “Our birth-suppression choices would have been limited by this terrible amendment,” sobbed  one Israelite husband. “And what about MY RIGHT to life?!” exclaimed an indignant Israelitess.  “Sure, everyone knows a unique human life begins at fertilization, but who really cares about that?”

Philistine leaders promised more social welfare programs to the majority Israelites, provided they continue to support the Philistine ruling class.  Education is a key component to the Philistine agenda.  “Please, by all means, keep sending your children to our schools,” said one Philistine leader. “And don’t listen to your crazy prophets and turn off your Philistine televisions and actually start educating them yourselves.  Everyone already knows this would be a foolish waste of your precious time and resources.”  He continued, “We taught you and your parents well, and we will continue to give your children the best education that your tribute to us can buy.”

But the Israelite prophets, though reviled and ignored by many of their own people, vowed to continue the fight.  “We will never give up the Truth of our God,”  one prominent prophet declared as he boldly preached before the Temple of Dagon.  “We will never give in to the deception and lies of the Philistines.”  Then he lifted his eyes to heaven and said the following, though his words were barely audible,  “Father, forgive your people.” Then He cried out, “For they do not yet understand what they have done to YOU!”

Here is Chet’s call for all of us to be in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Mississippi who are storming the gates of hell (abortion) in the strong Name of Jesus.  The “Personhood” vote on (Amendment 26) is today.

Pray that God will loose from heaven what already has been loosed in the state of Mississippi.  Faith in God’s Word, and God’s Word alone.  The Sword of the Spirit has been unsheathed by the saints in Mississippi.  Now, Lord God, watch over Your Word to perform it in Jesus’ magnificent Name. ~ Flip

We needed a final days effective strategy. We are not going to be “working” the polls or just “going” to the polls or recruiting folks to “get” to the polls. We encourage many who can to do so. But today, my partner in prayer, Ron Duhe, who first joined me in Mississippi on Jan 23rd 2009, is joining me today to “PRAY THE POLLS.”

We will strive to run this race to the very end today, running from polling place to polling place, from seven AM to seven PM in the seven southern Mississippi Counties we have worked since our arrival. We’ve been privileged to petition together, speak to pastors and churches together, walk the streets together, sing and cry out and rejoice together and we have prayed often together for the shedding on innocent blood to end.

I can’t think of one thing we haven’t done that has been productive and we have been praying all along. But I am not convinced I have prayed enough, so that’s what I must ensure is done on this final day. But not just praying in this Mississippi cottage. Nope, we are going out to pray my favorite way: “Praying ON-SITE with INSIGHT.” Like the murder mills where babies die, these are the last place where Christians and others will enter. Will they choose life or death? I want them to see us praying they will choose life!

So pray for us and please send this to every Mississippian you know.

Jesus is King and we must serve Him!

Mark and Lisa Metzger bring their family (9 children) out to the to the gates of hell every Friday and Saturday as often as they can.  They are joined by another home school family Robbie and Jeanette Wilson (6 children).  The miracles God has wrought through their presence at the abortion mills here in Charlotte has been astounding.  Here is one little miracle for your encouragement.  Enjoy! ~ Flip

This is Damir Mason (left) and his mother Jennifer (rith with Lisa), at their baby shower! Damir means “to give peace” and Mason means “works with stone”. God worked with an apparent heart of stone, which was set on aborting the child within, knitting together the hearts of Damir and Jennifer! God also gave Jennifer PEACE in her decision to choose life! How beautiful! Jennifer’s story of LIFE is below.

A young woman from Hemingway, SC came to abort a child thought to be 8 weeks. After choosing life, she found out that her baby was actually 16 weeks. If she had gone through with the abortion at Latrobe she could have experienced horrible complications since they were unwilling to verify the baby’s age via ultrasound and would have either given her pills to induce abortion or performed surgery on a baby who was much farther along than they had thought. While inside of the mill, she had asked to speak to someone about the abortion procedure, but was told that she could not talk to a doctor, nurse or even a counselor about the procedure. Instead, the front desk personnel described the “painless and quick” procedure of abortion using a highlighter and pencil! There have been two ambulances since February, seen at this facility. Please pray that the truth about the physical danger of abortion is made known to these women.

A text received from Miss Jennifer, who chose life for her son: “I saw you 3 days ago. I was going to give my baby up and I’m happy I didn’t do it. I want you and the people that you were with to know that it meant the whole world to me to know that you all care about me, not even knowing me…[if it weren’t] for you I would have done a really bad thing.”

The history here of how abortion began in Mississippi fully seven years before Roe v. Wade,is remarkable.  The “seed of the serpent” is the ultimate incrementalist.  We are not ignorant of the devil’s schemes and we know that one little word will fell him –   Jesus!  How awesome and marvelous is our task to stand upon God’s Word in times such as these.

Thank You Jesus! ~ Flip

Why was it important for us to be here, of all places, in Mississippi?

What Started Here Ends Here
Initiative 26 To Reverse Mississippi’s Abortion Role

Here’s an important lesson in America’s abortive history: Mississippi was the first to start legalizing abortion (incrementally) and will be the first to end it (entirely.)

Jackson, MS 11-4-11 – America’s abortion holocaust began in Mississippi on May 8, 1966.

Forty-five years ago Mississippi became the first state to decriminalize the killing of a child by an abortionist. The “exception” for rape marked for death children who allegedly did not deserve the protection of law. A 3,500-year-old legal principle distinguishing civilization from barbarism was that “children shall not be put to death for the crimes of their fathers.” Throwing aside this foundation of due process and equal protection under the law, our state opened up the floodgates of America’s holocaust in which abortionists nationwide have now killed more than 50 million children.

The approval of (see it here:) House Bill 562 in 1966 and its taking effect 30 days later on June 8, 1966, put a so-called exception into state law defining “abortion” as “a felony unless the… pregnancy was caused by rape.” In the seven years before Roe v. Wade, 19 states began the decriminalization of child killing by permitting abortion for various reasons, tragically beginning with Mississippi (and followed by Colorado, California, Oregon, North Carolina, New York, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Virginia). It is false to claim that “Roe ushered in the age of abortion,” for it was the states, with Mississippi first, which began the process that expanded as far as New York allowing abortion on demand through six months.

Now the states must end what the states unleashed. If it was a state’s right to begin it, it must therefore be a state’s right to end it.

While the ancient Code of Hammurabi legislated the killing of children for the crimes of their fathers (as in Hammurabi laws 210230, and 116), America’s Judeo-Christian legal heritage corrected this injustice. For the Law of Moses states at Deuteronomy 24:16, “Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall the children be put to death for their fathers…” A Hebrew prophet affirmed this, writing, “The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son…” at Ezekiel 18:20.

Personhood corrects the cruelty and grave injustice brought about by Mississippi declaring some children unworthy of protection. Please Vote Yes on 26 on Tuesday so every baby can be protected by love and by law.

What started here ends here.

This is the booklet (To End All Abortion) we will be passing out to all our pastors that will be involved in Operation – First Abortion Free State!  It is an apologetic on what the abortion battle really is, how it has been won in history, and how it will be won today.

In Christian love,
