We joined our brother Chet Gallagher on this, his third appearance, in Jackson, Mississippi, for preaching the Gospel of Christ on a public sidewalk in front of the state of Mississippi’s last remaining abortion mill.  Chet, with his fine attorney Steve Thornton, had one charge dismissed and two other charges continued for yet another appearance in Jackson.  Chet has had to travel from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Jackson three times already to make these appearances.  One more is on the way.  But this time he will be tried on July 28, 2014.

Our National Event in New Orleans, July 19-26, 2014, will end on Saturday, July 26.  This will open the door for several of us to make a short two and a half hour trip from New Orleans to Jackson, MS, and join our brother Chet for his trial on Monday afternoon, July 28,2014.  I’m sure the city of Jackson will be ecstatic when they realize the magnitude of their invitation for us to bring the Gospel of Christ right back to the gates of hell at Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

This is awesome in Jesus’ name.

Just received this from Rusty.  We need to continue our prayers for the saints who are standing so valiantly for the lives of our Lord’s precious preborn children at the last free standing abortion mill in the state of Mississippi.

Pray in Jesus’ mighty Name! Flip

Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,

Last night I had the privilege to address the Jackson Christian/Pro-life community at their 41st Roe vs. Wade anniversary. I challenged them to finish strong to become the first abortion free state in America. This morning we took the Gospel of the Kingdom back to the gates of hell. The pro-aborts were out in force to make sure women murdered their babies, the police cruised by, but did not stop today, while Christians pleaded the case of the fatherless to win it.

Yesterday, it was a different story as once again the police went out of their way to intimidate peaceful Christians doing their duty to love God and their neighbor as themselves. The following is the report. God willing, I’m heading back home to my precious family today. next week it is on to North Carolina for our annual OSA Leadership meeting. At that time, we will lay out our plans for the new year, bring the Gospel of the Kingdom to the different gates in Charlotte, such as, schools and the three remaining death camps. Once again, we covert your prayers and appreciate so much your love and support.

“He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord” (Proverbs 17:15).

It appears the Jackson Police Department shows no sign of slowing down their harassment, persecution, and arbitrary law enforcement against peaceful, Pro-life Christians. God’s people showed up at the last remaining death camp today to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. We even had a permit to be there issued by the city of Jackson. There were no altercations, no violation of any law, God or man, and yet the police came out.

They had one purpose. I watched them go to Cal Zastrow, whom they had arrested a few times prior. While he was preaching on a public sidewalk, they checked his feet, and they checked to see if his sign was touching the ground for that is an arrestable offense in Jackson. Cal complied completely to their arbitrary demands.

Afterward, the police officer walked away and Cal lifted his voice to preach once again. The police officer immediately turned on his heels and swiftly came back to Cal saying he was under arrest for hollering. Hollering? Really? He had no amplification. He was just preaching God’s Word to people who desperately needed to hear the truth before they did the unspeakable to their own children.

The police officer grabbed Cal and took him towards his police car and informed him the official charge was “disorderly conduct.” This was a “field arrest.” They wrote him a ticket and released him. Meanwhile, local Pastor, Doug Lane, took Cal’s place and began to preach. They hauled him away, but decided to let him go. Apparently, yesterday their commander told Pastor Lane that they could preach as loud as they desired, if they did not have amplification. That was yesterday and apparently the rules were changed once again.

Right after they took Pastor Doug away, a local pastor and myself, lifted up our voices and unsheathed the two-edged sword as our brethren before us. For whatever reason, they did not go after us. Cal said later that was because, “you were the nice preacher.” Be that as it may, the pattern of harassment continues by this police department that has been warned by the federal government and a Christian law firm to cease and desist denying peaceful, Pro-life Christians their First Amendment rights.

We are now compiling the history of all the bogus charges, court cases, and testimonies to demonstrate the pattern of injustice. Prayerfully, there will soon be local and national lawyers working together to hold this city and its police department accountable for their consistent harassment against God’s people.

For a long time, we have been scratching our heads wondering why the police have such a zeal to arrest the saints. We always thought there was an unholy alliance between the police department and the last remaining death camp in Mississippi. We are rethinking that position.

There is a business man across the street who vowed to his artsy, economic buddies of the area that he would remove the Christians from the death camp within six months. That was several years ago and the saints are still there. In fact, their presence there is growing to the chagrin of many. Apparently, he is the one that calls the police and they answer to his beck and call. God’s Word rings true, “The love of money is the root of all evil” (1 Timothy 6:10).

In this guys mind, it is not the abortion mill that murders babies across the street that is the problem that jeopardizes business in his community. No! It is the Christians who are standing in the gap, seeking to save lives, and stopping the murder in his community that is the problem.

Brethren, we covet your prayers. Chet Gallagher will be returning for the third time to stand trial over similar fraudulent charges against him on February 12. God willing, we will back to stand with him and work behind the scenes as well to end this unholy alliance between the abortion mill, the Jackson police department, and the wealthy business man. To God be the glory and may Mississippi become the first abortion free state in America soon in Jesus’ name!

Three gentle warriors in the Lord in Jackson, Mississippi, were arrested on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, for praying on a public sidewalk in front of Mississippi’s last remaining abortion mill.  Harriet Ashley, Ron Niederhoed, and Esther Mann are our friends and better friends of King Jesus and His precious preborn children.

Thank God for their stand!  Would that all of God’s church would do the same.

Enjoy Dr. Pat McEwen’s reporting of this sad yet glorious event here.

We went to Jackson to stand with the saints of Mississippi who want abortion to end in their state.  We went to the “last abortion mill standing” in the state.  We prayed at the “pink horror” while pro-aborts held signs, “this clinic stays open” and “abortion on demand with no apology.”  All this in front of a killing center that was open, but not for business.  As often happens when the theology of heaven becomes biography in the streets – the enemy closes shop.  PTL!

Shocking ~ the Mocking & Blocking of Truth in Jackson, Mississippi

by Leslie Hanks

With the mill essentially closed, we proclaimed the Gospel of Christ at other gates: five high schools, two college campuses, twenty-five churches, the state capitol, and ended at the courthouse with Chet and Cal!  Literally thousands heard and saw our Lord’s message.  The reception was incredibly welcoming.  The folks in Mississippi really want abortion to end.  What an awesome privilege to deliver God’s mail!

Operation Save America held another States of Refuge event in Jackson to proclaim the infinite value of human beings, made in God’s image, and to press for the closure of Mississippi’s last remaining house of child sacrifice.  If you’ve never been to an OSA outreach, there is no better way to renew and re-dedicate one’s self to the furthering of God’s Kingdom and His purposes.

The evening rallies and daily educational demonstrations were powerfully effective and instructive.  Reverend Flip Benham, Rusty Thomas, Chet Gallagher, Cal Zastrow, Ante Pavkovic and Coach Dave Daubenmire all fired up the troops for our daily missions, with the haunting theme of ‘who will stand in the gap’?  It’s truly amazing to see what God can do with a small band of 70 dedicated Christians to rock a city for truth!  Come, “stand in the gap” with us – it is exhilarating!

The Pepto Pink kill mill is still standing but, Lord willing, not for long.  Diane Derzis and her employees on day one called the police to chase us away because they had a permit for an imaginary rally.  Although there were no attendees, they insisted we depart and, because we had a memorial service at the Capitol to set up, we complied.  Since their rally failed – they joined us for ours

As I drove away I got a snap of an employee decorating a car ~ hmmm?  I should have anticipated their nefarious purpose but it didn’t click until the pro-aborts began circling the Capitol ~ horns blaring to drown out the memorial, in honor of the 60,000 MS babies killed by abortion.  As disruptive as their parade was, nothing prepared us for the StopPatriachy.org anarchy team’s takeover of the steps of the Capitol, led by Sunsara Taylor.  Chanting, “A fetus isn’t a baby”, “Abortion isn’t murder”, and “Women aren’t incubators”, they stormed the event with further shouts of “Abortion on demand, no apology”.  Their attempts at mayhem made the battle we fight so clear.

Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; they have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.  Isaiah 59:7-8

Capitol security was slow to respond but eventually removed them from the Capitol grounds.  Across the street the mocking and four letter words continued, but the memorial to the pre-born children lost in Mississippi was magnificently proclaimed.

The following day, we headed to Pearl High School to educate the students about the horror of abortion.  We learned that the city of Pearl claims to be a First Amendment Free city.  We were asked to leave the campus by school authorities and told to go across the highway, which we did.  Not long after, numerous squad cars arrived and the Police Chief told us of their ordinance requiring a permit to protest anywhere in Pearl.  Former police officer, Chet Gallagher, was extremely diplomatic in his discussions regarding the ordinance which seems to be a clear First Amendment violation.

Our next stop was Millsaps College.  Founded as a Methodist college in the late 1800s, the institution is now clearly bereft of her founding principles.  Our signs were not welcome on the school property, so we set up shop across the street and the fiery preaching of Flip Benham and Ante Pavkovic began in earnest.  Powerful preaching about John Wesley and how he was persecuted for his faith and the faith of the school’s founders really sent several students over the edge.  Female students sadly began acting out lewdly and a young male was clearly agitated.  Truth is hate to those who hate the truth.

A local businessman confronted our demonstration, complaining that we were interfering with his ability to do business.  He held his hand on the horn for minutes at a time, trying to drown out the preaching.  “When deceit becomes universal; truth becomes a revolutionary act.”  George Orwell.

Today’s church is so MIA from the ‘war on the pre-born’ and her message so milquetoast, that a strong word makes people lose it when they hear and see truth.

26 Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. 27 Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy people, and to get dishonest gain.28 Her prophets plastered them with untempered mortar, seeing false visions, and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord had not spoken. 29 The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger. 30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”  Ezekiel 22:26-30

“The true Christian is called to be a soldier, and must behave as such from the day of his conversion to the day of his death.  He is not meant to live a life of pious ease, indolence and security.  He must never imagine for a moment, that he can sleep and doze along the way to Heaven, like one traveling in an easy carriage.  If he takes his standard of Christianity from the people of this world, he may be content with such vain notions — but he will find no countenance for them in the Word of God.  If the Bible is the rule of his faith and practice, he will find his course laid down very plainly in this matter.  He must ‘fight!'”

If you haven’t yet booked your room at the Baymont Inn and Suites (601-206-1616) in Jackson, MS, for our upcoming States of Refuge campaign (November 2-6, 2013), you may want to do so soon.  Just ask for the OSA block ($56.50) per night.  Below is a report from Miss Melody Miller of the new developments God is orchestrating to perhaps make Mississippi the first abortion free state in America.  There would be no better way to kick-off this Thanksgiving season than to allow the theology of heaven to become biography at the gates of hell at the last remaining abortion mill in the state of Mississippi.  See you at the gates!     ~ Flip

Last Tuesday, October 8, 2013, Harriet Ashley, Doug Lane, and Cal and Jim Zastrow were subpoenaed to appear in court because of their simple assault case against Roy Lee Benjamin, former security guard at the Jackson Woman’s Health Organization. The case originated last March when they were holding “40 Days of Church” at the abortion clinic, when Benjamin pepper sprayed the crowd gathered and singing hymns.  Cal received the spray in his mouth, Jimmy was sprayed in his eyes, and Harriet and Doug on their faces.  Cal and Jimmy were transported to the emergency room of St. Dominic’s Hospital.  Since the Zastrow’s were on a mission trip to China, Attorney Steve Thornton was called to represent them. Thornton also represented Chet Gallagher last month when his arrest from last February came up for trial.

Benjamin has representing him as his defense attorney, Faye Peterson, Jackson’s former Prosecuting Attorney.  At the courtroom, Peterson requested a continuance for the trial with the excuse given that Benjamin’s mother had died on October 4th.

The continuance has been granted and the case will be heard on Wednesday, November 6, 2013.  This is the same date as was given for the continuance of the trial of Chet Gallagher, who was arrested in February on the sidewalk of the abortion clinic for preaching the gospel.

It is intriguing and very interesting to note that  November 6  just also happens to be the final day of the upcoming Operation Save America outreach planned for November 2-6.  Extend your tickets and come support our brothers and sister in Christ!

Richard and Melody Miller

God has a plan…My now “continued court date” (set for November sixth) is on the final day of the upcoming National OSA/States of Refuge Event coming to Jackson, MS, November 2-6. That’s the good news! Plan on being here with us at that time (If possible, extend your OSA/States of refuge trip by one additional day to include at least through the early evening of November 6th.)
If there is any bad news, at this point, it is the cowardice of an inexperienced prosecutor and a brand new judge who simply wanted to avoid hearing this case, most likely because of the high profile constitutional violations already pending and resulting from a previously issued court ordered “consent decree,” in which the city police have already been found to be at fault both then, as now, for numerous First Amendment rights violations against Christians. Jesus is doing something amazing and we totally trust Him for the outcome.
Thanks for praying and keeping us encouraged!

Here is yet another article in the Clarion-Ledger, Jackson’s largest newspaper, covering the relentless press of saints in Mississippi storming the gates of hell (Jackson Women’s Health Organization) in the strong Name of Jesus.

Enjoy! ~ Flip

Just received this from Chet Gallagher who will be on trial in Jackson, Mississippi, this September 18, 2012, for preaching the Gospel of Christ at Jackson Women’s Health Organization (JWHO), the last remaining abortion mill in the state of Mississippi.  Rusty and I will be joining Chet and his wife JoAnn, and all of the saints in Mississippi who have been fighting this battle so valiantly in the strong Name of Jesus.

Please be praying for all of us as we prepare the way toward our States of Refuge event November, 2-6, 2012, in Jackson, Mississippi, this year. ~ Flip

Dear friends,

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

After speaking with Pastor Doug Lane last week, we have decided to have a rally on Wed evening, September 18th, following my court trial being held in Jackson at 2:30 PM that afternoon. It will be a one night only OSA Rally with worship and the Word being proclaimed. I have contacted Ken Money at Wesleyan Biblical Seminary and today (or tomorrow at the latest) we expect him to confirm that venue for us on that night, probably from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.

It will be a wonderful time and since Flip and Rusty and I will be in town, the three of us and Pastor Doug saw it as an opportunity for us to encourage the saints in Jackson, to further promote and affirm the Pastors for Life Church on the Street schedule and to extend another invitation to the November States of Refuge/OSA Regional event to be held the week of Nov 2nd in Jackson. We continue to call the nation’s attention, prayers and presence to Jackson, MS hoping to end the slaughter at JWHO before the 40 years of testing comes to an end January 21st, 2014.

A flier will be forthcoming in a day or two, for you to send to your friends, inviting them to come, as well as a Facebook Event Page and more.

JoAnn and I are excited about being with you all September 17-20.

Bless you!

Chet

Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,

Court Trials in Mississippi

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, ‘Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time'” (Revelation 12:10-12).

Donned with Christian/pro-life clothing, Jesus is Lord buttons, and a rousing chorus of Stand up for Jesus hymn upon their lips, the accused entered Jackson, Mississippi’s city court. Rev. Flip Benham and I came to support and stand with Cal Zastrow, Ester Mann, and Johnny Breeken as they faced bogus charges.

Jackson’s finest has been at the beck and call of the abortion mill for years. In fact, a federal ruling in 2006 was introduced into evidence on Cal’s defense that rebuked the Jackson police department and warned them to cease and desist in their attempts to deny Christians their First Amendment Rights. It was clear during the trial the Jackson police ignored the restrictions.

After wading through the congested court docket, our three brethren faced the bench. Ester Mann and Johnny Breeken are locals, so the court decided to set their court trial for Nov. 25,2013. They are being charged with obstructing the sidewalk. The prosecutor decided last minute to amend the charges against Cal Zastrow and added the same charge. The judge allowed it and Cal ended up facing three charges. Since Cal is from Michigan the court graciously went forward with his trial. Many times, hostile courts knowing we are from out of state and the expense it takes to appear in court, purposely postpone the trial. They do it for one reason and that is to add to our burdens.

More witnesses were arrayed against Cal than any other case that day. Three police officers and two business owners testified against Cal. The business owners, like most Americans, were more concerned about the graphic pictures than they were the abortion mill was actually doing this evil act against children across the street.

Irony and hypocrisy knew no bounds in this trial. The prosecutor strained at gnats, (Your sign touched the ground, your chairs and ladder obstructed the sidewalk, and other petty concerns) while he swallowed camels, (He ignored the reality that babies are being murdered at the last remaining death camp in Mississippi). Tragically, the entire court system seemed oblivious to this incredible discrepancy.

Cal’s Lawyer, Steve Thorton, did a masterful job. When he cross examined the police officers and the business owners, he exposed their contradictions and inconsistencies. One of the most illuminating parts of the trial that reveal the sad state of affairs in our beleaguered nation, was the testimony of the police officers. Out of the three, one was honest, but misinformed as to the nature of the city ordinances that Cal supposedly violated.

Attorney Thorton when he cross examined the police officers, he asked them some basic questions concerning the date of their graduation, training, and the nature of the oath they swore before God to uphold. All three of them could not recall the nature of the oath that took as law enforcement officials. Attorney Thorton literally had to coax and grant them clues to remember their oath of office, which is to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. None of them surrendered this information of their own accord. I took a similar oath in the military three decades ago and the oath still remains fresh with me. For whatever reasons, it was not so with these gentlemen.

Wait, it went from bad to worse. One of the officers was asked if he knew the provisions contained in the First amendment. He swore up and down that he did and yet could not name one of them. It was an extreme embarrassment for the prosecution. ChristianNews.net reporting on this situation stated:

“The attorney asked, ‘So, you’re familiar with the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution?’ [The officer replied,] ‘Oh yes,'” Zastrow recalled. “The attorney said, ‘Can you recall the themes-the main points of the First Amendment?’ The officer said, ‘Oh yes, I can.'”

“My attorney said, ‘Why don’t you tell the court what they are,'” he continued. “Well, I can’t recall all of them,’ the officer replied. ‘Okay, well, just tell us one point-just one thing that the First Amendment to the Constitution mentions,’ my attorney said. And the officer answered, ‘I guess I don’t know that right now.'”

“That was frightening,” Zastrow said. “He thinks he’s upholding the law, obeying the law and enforcing the law, but he doesn’t know any elements to the First Amendment to the Constitution

A nation facing tyranny and an ungodly dictator (Obama) desperately need law officials of this caliber to succeed. This is yet another casualty and violation of abortion. Our government is duped by Roe vs. Wade to defend the indefensible. If they refuse to protect life, stop the shedding of innocent blood, and defend the right to life, is it reasonable to expect they would defend the freedoms of those seeking to rescue those led away to slaughter?

If I was the trainer of the Jackson police academy responsible to teach officers the Constitution of the United States, retirement or seeking another job might be in order. I kept wondering what the judge was thinking after listening to these testimonies and discovering the federal document seeking to restrain the abuse of the Jackson police department. Her verdict answered the question. She dismissed two of the charges against Cal and the third one she said was “under advisement.” We should hear very soon her verdict on the last charge. Please pray for Cal and his family as they continue to press on in the battle.

Next month, Rev. Flip Benham and I will be heading back to court to stand with and support Brother Chet Gallagher. He has two charges arrayed against him for preaching on a public sidewalk. He recently sent this message out as he prepares for his defense:

Dear Friends,

Bless you in the Name above all names!

I’m writing to explain why I will not request an attorney to represent me after being arrested and charged criminally for “obstructing (preaching the Gospel upon) the public sidewalk” and “resisting (unlawful) arrest.”

We leave for Mississippi soon and perhaps some may wish to help with our travel expense to enable JoAnn to be with me in court. If so, “Thank you!” You can make a non-taxable donation here: (www.wepay.com/donations/chet-gallagher )

So why am I not using a lawyer? Y’Shua, when prophesying and instructing on the future arrests, trials and convictions of His disciples, gives us very specific instruction:

Mark 13:10-11

“And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.”

Am I against attorneys in all cases? No. We appreciate the help we have received from dozens of godly lawyers over the years. Steve Thornton, for example, who represented Cal Zastrow, just this week, exposed the inept, egregious and even “criminal” misconduct of a few Jackson, MS police officers. (Ephesians 5:11)

For me, this trial is an “in that hour” opportunity to believe and obey. Here a just a couple of reasons why:

His words are: “But WHEN they arrest you” …not IFthey arrest you. We don’t seek to be arrested but understand that our Messiah promised that this will be the consequence of “preaching the Gospel.” That is the context. Fearing arrests or doing all we can to avoid arrests could rob us of opportunities when the Holy Spirit would testify through us. (Acts 1:8)

2. I am inclined to “…worry beforehand, or premeditate what (I) will speak.” Should it be my prepared testimony and strategy presented in court or His? This time I’ll just accept that He meant what He said and choose to believe He will do what He says He will do “in that hour” both for His glory and for my good. At 2:30 PM on Sept 18th pray that “whatever is given (me) in that hour” that it will not be me who speaks, “but the Holy Spirit.”

A criminal conviction with additional jail time for preaching publicly and passively resisting police tyranny may be His plan and purpose. Honestly…I hope it isn’t, but even if believing and obeying Him in some matters seems strange…even risky…it’s still all about Him and the cross we’re privileged to bear. Dietrich Bonhoeffer in The Cost of Discipleship wrote, “Those who believe, obey; those who obey, believe.”

Jesus said in John 14:15: “If you love Me you will keep My commandments.” We love Him, believe Him and are simply seeking to obey His commandment in this matter. In closing, two of His commandments come to mind:

· John 13:34: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” Thanks for loving us and allowing us to share this with you.

· Matthew 28:20: (“Part B” of the Great Commission) “…teaching themto observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen

We do hope to see you soon in Mississippi, if not for my trial on September 18, then certainly for the Regional States of Refuge event November 2nd.

Link to video of my arrest in Mississippi here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1BUXNZUIcs

All I can add to Chet’s message is to reinforce his invitation to come to Mississippi for our States of Refuge regional event scheduled from Nov. 2-6. Perhaps soon, Mississippi will make history by becoming the first abortion Free State in America. With the obedience of God’s Church and the help of heaven, nothing is impossible in Jesus’ name!
