Today, we are going to look at the second prayer of Moses in Exodus 32, which is most astounding. This prayer will not only reveal the incredible strain Moses was enduring leading God’s people to the Promise Land, but his willingness to sacrifice what is most precious to any sane man, the salvation of his own soul.

This prayer, along with the Apostle Paul’s decree in Romans 9:1-5, is probably the most remarkable and convicting narratives in all the Bible.

Moses prayed, “Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold! Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written” (Exodus 32:31, 32).

As Israel was receiving the TEN WORDS, the basis of the contract of God’s covenant written by His very finger, they became FEARFUL of Moses’s delay. This ungodly fear led them to violate the very commandments God was preparing to give them. As stated yesterday, the sin was so grievous in the sight of God, He was ready to consume them.

Moses stood in the gap. This second time, he pleaded with God to forgive them to the point of asking God to “blot me out of your book,” if you refuse. It is one thing to consider sacrificing your physical life to save someone else. You are in an entirely different zip code spiritually, however, when you are willing to lay down your eternal life that others might live.

Jesus taught the “no greater love” ethic was to lay down your life for others (John 15:13). The Apostle Paul picking up on this Biblical theme declared, “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:7, 8).

Though some penalties were meted out by God to chastise Israel for their abject idolatry, God did not entirely consume them. Moses heartfelt intercession spared Israel of what they so richly deserved.

America has followed this same wicked course. We have played the harlot. Our sins have reached heaven and tower over our heads. Most Americans don’t even know how to blush anymore when it comes to the great evil we have committed in the sight of a Holy God. Most glory in our shame, while God is lifting the skirts of our nation to expose our folly, idolatry, and corruption for all the world to see.

What is God looking for in these days? Ezekiel points the way, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God” (Ezekiel 22:30, 31).

God issued this decree while the church herself violated the commandments of God. The lesser magistrates, the princes, refused to do their duty to check the evil. Instead, they became like devouring wolves. The prophets, prophesied lies and false visions, while “The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger” (Ezekiel 22:26-29).

Folks, our nation is in deep trouble with the Almighty and we need to intercede like our future and hope depends upon it. Because it most certainly does in Jesus’ name!

Are You Non-essential?
More North Carolina Christians were arrested for peaceably interceding on the behalf of the preborn yesterday. Once again, what our nation considers essential and non-essential is being exposed. Please pray for our brethren, their families, and the churches.
After further investigation, we found out that three generations of Benhams were arrested amongst the seven, Brother Flip Benham, former national director of Operation Save America, grandfather, David Benham, father, and Bailey Benham, son and grandson.
God bless them, keep them, and prosper His just and righteous cause through them. May we all follow their godly example in Jesus’ name!
Essential and Non-essential Designations
In the Old Testament, God broke up mankind as Jew and Gentile. There where other designations that divided mankind as well, such as the righteous and the wicked.
Later in the New Testament, other distinctions that divided mankind emerged. Lost and saved, believer and non-believer and most important “in Adam” or “in Christ.”
If you are enslaved by sin, your in bondage to the Adamic nature, which means, you are a sinner, walking in darkness, and are currently hell bound. If you are in Christ, you are dead to sin and alive to God. You are saved and your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Today, with the insanity of Covid-19, our government has decided to switch the designations that divide mankind. There are those who are now essential, abortion industry, and those who are non-essential, Christians who intervene to save lives.
This is what happens when good becomes evil and evil, good and that evil is codified into law. Are you essential my brethren? Yes, by the blood of Christ, the truth of His Word, and the Power of the Holy Spirit, you most certainly are in Jesus’ name!

Prayers of repentance recorded in the Bible:

Today, we are going to look at the intercession of Moses on the behalf of Israel. If you recall, there was an ongoing struggle between God and Moses when it came to the complaining, murmuring, stiff necked and disobedient nation.

On this occasion, God’s anger was waxing hot as Israel corrupted itself with abject idolatry. They, with Aaron’s aid, crafted a golden calf and proudly announced, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt” (Exodus 32:4) God threatened to consume them and from Moses rebuild another nation.

Moses, perhaps flattered by the offer, did not take the deal. Instead, he offered this prayer:

Then Moses pleaded with the Lord his God, and said: “Lord, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ” So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people (Exodus 32:11-14).

If you are not aware, America has corrupted itself with abject idolatry. Like Israel of old, we have gone a whoring after other gods. Though God is long suffering and extremely patient, His justice will not sleep forever. We have shed much innocent blood and defiled ourselves with sexual immorality on a grand scale.

Moreover, God’s Word declares, “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required” (Luke 12:48). America has been the recipient of God’s choicest bounty. He truly shed His grace on us. We have prospered like no other nation on the planet, including Old Testament Israel. And what have we done?

Like the Prodigal, we have consumed all these blessing upon our lusts and look at the state of our nation. The proverbial chickens have come home to roost. How should we respond to the challenge. Perhaps, this prayer by Moses can reveal how important prayers of intercession truly are in our current distress.

Jesus started his earthly ministry with these words, which His forerunner, John the Baptist, proclaimed before Him, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17).
Repentance means change your mind by changing the direction you are going. This leads to a change of behavior empowered by the grace and mercy of God.
In military terms, it would be an about-face. Here is the dictionary definition of the about-face.
a·bout-face (ə-bout′fās′) n.
a. The act of pivoting to face in the opposite direction from the original, especially in a military formation.
b. A military command to turn clockwise 180°.
2. A total change of attitude or viewpoint.
intr.v. a·bout-faced, a·bout-fac·ing, a·bout-fac·es
To reverse direction.
For the next couple of posts, we are going to look at prayers of repentance that was so necessary for individuals and nations as the consequences of their sins came crashing down upon their heads.
It would be good to mediate on these prayers, roll them over in your mind, and let them renew your soul. Cast down pride and especially, religious pride, which keeps us from admitting our sins and wrongs we have committed. The time for brokenness and humility is upon us and remember this precious truth, “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word” (Isaiah 66:2).
The following is the prayer of Solomon as he dedicated the Temple to the glory of God. It is a long prayer that you can find in 1 Kings 8. For our purposes today, I’ll concentrate on this particular part of the prayer, since it is most relevant to our current distress.
When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is; whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple: then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men), that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You gave to our fathers (1 Kings 8:37-40).
Take the time during this lock down to rebuild the family altar to calm the fears of your family and look to God who declares to all men and nations, “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:22)!
Keep pressing on saints to the high call and prize in Jesus’ name!

“Thus says the LORD: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight, says the LORD” (Jeremiah 9:23, 24).

First, it is important to note that for years men of God have warned of these days. What men and nations sow, they shall surely reap. God will not be mocked. We have sowed to the wind and are reaping the whirlwind (Galatians 6:7).

There are two national abominations that once they reach heaven, you are in trouble with the Almighty. They are child sacrifice, the shedding of innocent blood (abortion) and parading our sin like Sodom (homosexuality) (Leviticus 18). When a nation abandons God, violence, perversion, and corruption always replaces Him in the public life of a country (Hosea 4:1-6).

To justify these great evils in America, our government established a covenant with death (Roe vs. Wade), which created a culture of death. The powers that be conspired to call good, evil, and evil, good (Isaiah 5:20). The Supreme Court codified wickedness into law and our nation has suffered horrific consequences ever since. Tyranny in government and licentiousness in the culture are actively eroding our God given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This latest virus threat, whether it is a man-made biological weapon or nature itself attacking, reveals something about the status of men and nations. We do not escape the reality of God. If men and nations are not consistent in matters of justice, righteousness, and mercy, the penalties for rebellion against God and His commandments do not just magically disappear.

They merely shift from the guilty parties to society at large. National sins and crimes, uncontested by justice, bring national calamities. The previous scourge of slavery verifies this indisputable truth. God rules and reigns in the affairs of men (Daniel 4:17; Matthew 28:18-20). Though the church and state may fail in their responsibilities to protect innocent life and preserve the God ordained institution of marriage and family, God cannot deny himself (Leviticus 20:1–5). The problem is when God deals with unjust atrocities; He typically responds with a heavy hand. This virus could very well be just the beginning of woes.

Second, what does this virus reveal about the state of our faith and the condition of our character? I vividly remember being interviewed by our local TV station in Waco, TX concerning the plight of our son, Jeremiah Thomas. The empathetic reporter asked us what we thought about Jeremiah’s intense anguish. He had an aggressive bone cancer and yet made known his selfless desire to end the suffering and injustice against the preborn in Texas.

Tears welled up in our eyes as we communicated a Biblical truth. Intense stress, pressure, and challenges can not only forge good character, it also serves to reveal character. Romans 5:3-5 states, “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

When the pro-aborts attacked him mercilessly and wished his demise and death, Jeremiah responded Biblically. He followed our Lord’s command, “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you” (Luke 6:27, 28). Yes, when the intense pressure of pain, death, and persecution attacked our son, his Christian response was pure gold. What was deep inside him as a young man came flowing out and it inspired the world.

With the advent of the threat of this virus, it is time to take inventory to determine what is truly inside us, what is coming out of us, and the true state of our souls. By God’s grace, I’ve survived a few dangerous threats in my life. When death was imminent, there was a demand to consciously calm fears in order to think clearly and act responsibly in order to survive the peril.

When fear strikes an individual or nation, it can have a variety of effects. Fear tends to constrict, inspire fanatic, impulsive behavior, and the Bible adds, unchecked fear void of God’s perfect love can lead to torment (1 John 4:18).

Many lives can be spared, many disasters avoided, if people can keep their heads during trying times. Especially, when things outside their control create a mob spirit of hysteria that grips the souls of men. Yes, our knees may knock, our minds may be worried, and our stomachs may have butterflies. It is crucial in those times, however, that we demand those butterflies fly in God’s formation.

I saw some good advice recently from brother David Benham of the Benham Brother’s fame. He advised in this current distress to fix our gaze on three spheres. First, look up and get the eternal perspective. Life truly is but a vapor (James 4:14). The Apostle Peter compared man’s flesh to grass and our fleeting glory as a flower. His conclusion, “The grass withers, and its flower falls away” (1 Peter 1:24). No one makes it off this planet alive. The wages of sin is death. The good news, however, is “the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).

Gaining the eternal perspective by looking up is to know that regardless of what takes place on earth, a glorious future awaits those who repent, believe, and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Acts 2:38). God promises a place and time where there will be no more pain, sorrow, or suffering. He will dry every tear that has been stored in His bottle (Revelation 21:4; Psalms 56:8).

The next phase that Benham suggested was to “look in.” What has this threat revealed in us? I’ve touched on this a bit, but it is important to take spiritual stock and Biblical inventory. It appears we are moving from a convenient American faith to the necessity of a more solid Biblical faith. We must determine how our gift of faith can combat fear so we can negotiate through these trying times without hurting ourselves and others.

The Lord and the Apostles all taught about the struggle of this life due to the Fall of man and the subsequent sin, death, and hell that came in its wake. It’s only in the Lord that man’s peace can be found. The Apostle Paul reminds us:

Do not be anxious about anything (Corona Virus), but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6, 7).

Jesus is the eye of the storm. As the world descends into panic, chaos, and confusion, the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run in to find safety. (Proverbs 18:10). Jesus promised in this present world there will be tribulation, but we as Christians are to be of a good courage for our Lord has overcome the world (John 16:33).

God’s Word further declares, “Through much tribulation, we will enter the Kingdom (Acts 14:22). Think it not strange concerning fiery trials, which will try us (1 Peter 4:12). Peter went on to reveal that our faith will go on trial at times and the prosecution will be fire. If we endure faithfully, our faith will come forth as gold (1 Peter 1:7).

Finally, the Apostle James exhorts, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing” (James 1:2-4).

American Christians, at one time, may have thought these Scriptures need not apply to us. Like the Laodiceans before us, we may have believed that we are rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing (Revelation 3:17). The book of Revelations, however, goes on to set the record straight:

And do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent.

We must remember when God’s judgment comes, it always visits His Church first. 1 Peter 4:17, 18 warns, “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear.”

Lastly, Benham reminds us to “look out.” As men fears increase, their idols brought low, their financial security shaken, and their prospects become uncertain, how should the church respond?

Obviously, we are to reject the spirit of the age with all its fearfulness based upon unbelief. I find it interesting that the states most in panic and taking draconian measures to lock down its citizens are the states that have led the way in establishing evil in our land.

Fearfulness and unbelief go hand in hand. In fact, the two categories of men that are first cast into hell are the fearful (cowardly) and unbelieving (Revelation 21:8). These are followed by, “abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

When the storms of life hit, we must continue to live out our faith. We must demonstrate our faith is built of the solid rock of God’s Word. It can weather any storm and when the smoke clears, it will still be standing. All else is sinking sand and the current distress, if it gets worse, will help make this truth more evident in the days ahead (Matthew 7:24-27).

This leads to the opening passage of Scripture from the book of Jeremiah. Most might not see the connection based upon the title of this article, but I assure you; it is directly connected.

If you recall, Jeremiah was the weeping prophet of Israel. He had faithfully warned Israel of God’s impending judgments. He was met with the typical opposition, resistance, and delusion of a stiff necked and disobedient people. The fallout was so great that Jeremiah wanted to give up and no longer speak in the name of the Lord. God would have none of it, “But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not (Jeremiah 20:9).

When the proverbial “crap hit the fan,” The temptation of the wrong response ensued. This is where Jeremiah sets the record straight, “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches.”

I’ve personally seen this erroneous response before in our nation. When the towers fell on 9/11/2001, our national response was not we repent and humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. No, it was, “we will rebuild.” We will look to conventional wisdom, look to our military might, and look to our wealth to bail us out to maintain our comfort and ease as a people.

Will we make the same mistake in this current dilemma? Will we be tempted like Israel of old to forget the Lord our God, refuse to repent, and humble ourselves before Him? Deuteronomy 8:11, 17, 18 speaks to this situation:

Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today… then you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth. And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

How many times did Israel forget? How many times did they not take heed? How many times when judged did they clung to their idols and refused to let go? What did it cost them as a nation and is America following their foolish course?

Jeremiah 18 lays out the wide road to destruction and the narrow path of God’s salvation, not only as individuals, but nations:

The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it. And the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it, if it does evil in My sight so that it does not obey My voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it.

Choose wisely America, your future hangs in the balance.

Lastly, I desire to leave you with some much-needed hope. The church in times past was no stranger to danger. It has endured tyranny, persecution, plagues, pestilence, and a variety of intense challenges through the years. Jesus is still on His throne waiting henceforth till all his enemies become His footstool (Psalms 110:1). He ever lives to make intercession on the behalf of His people to save them to the uttermost (Hebrews 7:25).

The issue is are you His child, redeemed by His blood, and filled with His Spirit? Is your name written in the Lamb’s book of life? Have you tasted of God’s great salvation? Have you made peace with God through the merits of His Son, Jesus Christ? if so, be assured of these precious promises:

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God bless you saints and keep pressing on to the high call and promise in Jesus’ name!

IN KING JESUS’ SERVICE,
Rusty

Local Pastor, Dusty Deevers, at the State Capitol in Oklahoma putting God’s trumpet to his mouth and sounding the alarm. He is giving the clarion call to the church, the pro-life movement and the magistrates to come out of the wilderness of the failed, compromised pro-life movement and embrace the Promise Land of abolition. #PLEXIT

OSA will be going back to Oklahoma in May for a couple of days, May 9-12th, and have our national event in June from the 21st-27th. We need to keep pouring resources into Oklahoma till they cross the line of obedience and outlaw abortion in their state in Jesus’ name!

It was an ambitious endeavor seeking to knock off two birds with one stone. The goal was to combine our annual Operation Save America’s Leadership Meeting, which casts the vision for the New Year with the groundbreaking gathering in Oklahoma, the Abolition Now conference and rally. There was much negotiation from within and from without to pull this event off. At times, it seemed impossible, but with God all things are possible. We not only made it through, but in some ways, it exceeded our expectations. We serve a God who does “exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20).

This was the first time that the local Oklahoma and national abolitionist groups, working in conjunction with the church, came together. Our divine purpose was to not just seek to regulate baby murder, but to end it in Jesus’ name. It was a massive effort put forth to support godly statesman, Joseph Silk, and the just bill of abolition he authored, SB13. Much took place and powerful Kingdom realities were set in motion. We serve a God who watches over His word to perform it and His mail was delivered loud and clear to the powers that be (Jeremiah 1:12). Let those in authority (Both church and state) who have eyes, may they see and those who have ears, hear.

Hundreds of saints from all over America met in the conference for several days to be discipled, trained, and mentored in Biblical truths, which will prayerfully lead to the abolition of abortion state by state. Iron sharpened iron as we were all provoked to love and good works. The conference was established to prepare the way of the Lord for the substantial rally that took place at the State Capitol of Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 11th.

God’s people took what they learned and went to the streets, in the culture, and visited the halls of legislative authority as salt and light according to the Scriptures (Matthew 5:13, 14). There was much accomplished, and yet, much still to be done. The following is an outline of the highlights that took place during this incredible, exhausting time in the Lord.

Reconciliation

“Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift” (Matthew 5:23, 24).

The movement to abolish abortion has endured trial and error, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and blood, sweat, and tears. The paradigm shift to move the church out of the failed pro-life industry to the Biblical foundations of abolitionism has been a major undertaking. The much needed and necessary change is in full swing. The toothpaste is out of the tube and cannot be put back in. The Gospel of the Kingdom train is leaving the station and it is time for God’s people to climb on board. We must exchange the compromised strategies of the pro-life movement for the truth of God’s Word that sets men and nations free.

Through this much needed process, however, there were things said and done in the name of abolition that caused wounds, offenses, and hurts. Major groups in the movement publicly attacked each other and this before the unbelieving world that hates God and Christianity. Some behavior literally gave ammo to the enemies of Christ to blaspheme His Holy Name! Yes, it did have the steel ball affect to convert some, but it also alienated potential allies in the battle to end the American holocaust.

With all the groups in Oklahoma coming together as one man with one voice under the banner of our Lord Jesus Christ demanding immediate and complete abolition of abortion something powerful happened. Groups and individuals, who once attacked each other, laid down their swords that tore each other apart and repented. Though reconciliation, they picked up the Sword of the Lord to fight the good fight together in Jesus’ name! It was glorious to behold former rivals, who once opposed each other, hug and forgive. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” (Psalms 133:1). It is there God commands his blessing, LIFE!

A Baby and Soul Saved:

As brothers and sisters of Christ stormed the gates of hell at the local death camp, Trust Women in Oklahoma City, God rewarded these efforts with some good Kingdom fruit. By obeying God’s word to rescue those unjustly sentenced to death and to love their neighbor as themselves, the Lord intervened to save a baby and a soul.

This woman assaulted the saints and the Lord saved her

On Monday, February 10th, brothers and sisters cried out, pleading with parents to spare their children at the local death camp. One lady pointed to her pregnant belly and indicated that she could not go through with it. Praise God! The next day a disturbed woman pulled into the driveway of the abortion mill and proceeded to assault the saints. She pushed, shoved, knocked down an elderly woman, Heather Mechanic, and flung mud.

Sarah Cleveland gave this account of the incident, “One morning during the Abolition NOW conference in Oklahoma City, I joined fellow brothers and sisters outside the Gates of Hell, at one of the state’s abortion facilities. During our time there, a woman drove out of the parking lot and parked in the driveway only to call out to myself and the other women standing with me, “Have you ever been raped?!”, she yelled, angry and obviously burdened.

I approached the woman as she sat in her truck to have a conversation with her. Broken, and near tears, she sat there as I spoke with her. Then a switch flipped. She began yelling at the men pleading for the lives of the babies. She got out of the truck and began cursing and threatening. She threw handfuls of mud and grime from the curb as she pushed and kicked anyone and everyone nearby.

After several people were assaulted, she went back to her truck to leave but couldn’t find her keys. As we waited for the police to arrive, the women paced back and forth, going from the truck to the parking lot. She was still upset. I encouraged her to keep speaking with me. Even when it didn’t seem she was listening, I called out. We went over with her what was sin, repentance, accountability, and justice. We went over God’s Law and the price we deserve for breaking it.

We shared the Good News with her. We told her how Jesus would take her burdens, if she would just lay them at His feet. I encouraged her to confess Jesus is Lord and commit her life to following Him. We were able to pray with her. The police still ticketed her, and she still has assault charges against her. But, by the time she left, this woman was no longer mad. In fact, before leaving, she rolled down her window to look me in the eye. I approached the truck once again where she extended her hand. I grabbed it, then she laid her other hand on mine and mine on hers. She thanked me and hugged me right there. I truly believe she left changed that day. Praise the Living God of Israel.”

Chet Gallagher, (Pictured above) former police officer and one of the few in history that used his police powers to interpose to save the preborn at a death camp in Las Vegas, got hit with the mud. He had the presence of mind, however, to grab her keys out of the truck. Her truck blocked the driveway for an hour and a half till the police came to ticket her. It was during that time, three precious sisters in the Lord ministered the Gospel of the Kingdom to this woman. She broke and surrendered her life to the Lordship of Christ. She came out as a lioness seeking whom she may devour and left a lamb of God and a daughter of the King. Hallelujah!

Pastors:

“And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding” (Jeremiah 3:15).

One of the pastors leading the charge to abolish abortion in Oklahoma

In this long battle to end the American holocaust, there are certain messages and actions that we have longed for pastors to make in this battle. Thankfully, some pastors in Oklahoma crossed the line of obedience particularly, amongst the Baptists, and made them. Baptists are the largest Evangelical denomination in America. Some of them throughout America look to Oklahoma for conservative leadership.

This conservative leadership stood up in Oklahoma and took a bold stand for God and His little ones being led to the slaughter. These pastors are not only preaching, teaching, and challenging their congregations, but their legislators as well. They are done playing political games at the expense of children’s lives. The pastors are demanding their magistrates either change their positions from compromised pro-life incremental bills to principled bills of abolition or their public prayer is “God change their locations.”

They are writing resolutions for both state and national Baptist conventions to reflect God’s Word in this matter. While there, the pastors repented publicly at the conference. They confessed they will no longer fight this battle according to secular, pro-life strategies, but according to “Thus Saith the Lord.” No more compromises or half measures. They also promised to those gathered that reinforcements are coming as they are working to recruit other pastors. It was like cool, clear water coming to our parched souls in the wilderness of child sacrifice as pastors are finally coming into agreement with God and His Holy Word.

FYI, some of the pastors in Oklahoma are taking the resolutions from Oklahoma to introduce them at the national convention in Orlando, Florida from June 7-10th, 2020. OSA is going to partner with these pastors on the 9th and 10th dates. We will work on the signage, literature, and messaging to reach more pastors in the just cause to end the American holocaust.

While they work the inside, we will be outside engaging those who attend. Remember, this convention represents 50,000 Baptist churches. We can get a lot accomplished by reaching our brethren and convince them to plead the case of the fatherless to finally win it in Jesus’ name (Jeremiah 5:28)!

Abolition Now Rally:

“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil” (Exodus 23:2)

Frances Schaeffer once stated, “Every abortion mill needs to have this sign upon it, ‘Open by permission of the local church.’” The church came out in mass to no longer follow a crowd to support evil and withdrew their permission for the state to keep sanctioning the murder of the preborn.

The drawing below promoted the rally, which became a reality on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020. Potentially, this day may go down in history as the day the tide turned in the cause to abolish abortion in America one state at a time. There were about 2000 or more folks who gathered to demand the Oklahoma magistrates do their duty and pass SB13.

Tragically, the magistrates ran for cover and tried to ignore this powerful rally that was covered by all the major media outlets. Regardless, the rally was also live streamed spreading, the vision, mission, and message to the masses on social media. It is not an if, abortion will be outlawed in a state, it is only a when.

ABC Broadcasting Network:

Somehow, the national ABC network learned of the upcoming marriage between my son, Josiah and his soon to be bride, Mariah Campana. They discovered this young couple, which came from large families, desire to have a large family as well. This intrigued them. ABC has participated in the rejection of the God ordained institution of family for years. Amazingly, they are beginning to see the dire consequences this has produced. During a preliminary interview, the producers from ABC admitted that we are not replacing ourselves as a people due to America believing barrenness is now considered the blessing, while fruitfulness the new curse.

Our family was filmed by ABC at the rally calling for the immediate and complete abolition of abortion in Oklahoma. They plan on filming our children’s marriage in Florida at the end of this month with some follow up interviews for the 20/20 program on ABC. This will give our families the opportunity to share the Gospel of the Kingdom and a Biblical worldview on the importance of healthy families as the foundation for sound nations.

Not A Victim:

One of the tremendous resources unveiled at the conference was our new website called Not a Victim. Here is a great resource to refute the lie that most women are victims of abortion, like the children they mutilate by abortion. This second victim ideology may have been used by the pro-life movement as good PR, but it has been a disaster at establishing justice as God demands. This door must be shut, if abortion will ever be outlawed and become unthinkable in our nation. Please check out the website and pass it unto to others, especially, when a Christian, citizen, or magistrate touts this fallacy.

Abolition Caucus:

Another great development that came forth from the conference and our OSA Leadership meeting was the establishment of an abolitionist caucus. Ministry heads met with Senator Joseph Silk and presented him a list of all the legislative magistrates throughout America who sponsored or co-sponsored bills of abolition in eight states. He will be using this list to create an important network to recruit and train other legislators in the just cause to end the American holocaust.

More could be added, but this should suffice for now. We are looking to come back to Oklahoma for our national event this year. We desire to keep pouring into Oklahoma in the hopes this state will be the first to shatter the stronghold of child sacrifice and the shedding of innocent blood. The tentative dates are June 21st-27th, 2020. Please keep this and all the other measures OSA is using to advance the Gospel of the Kingdom to defeat abortion in your prayers. Thanks for all your love, prayers, and financial support in Jesus’ name!

IN KING JESUS’ SERVICE,

Rusty

Don’t be fooled by the title, PRO-LIFE IDOLATRY. This was written years ago to address the Kingdom successes and the abject sins of the Rescue movement in the context of the pro-life movement back in the day.

Since the advent of the abolitionist movement, where our rhetoric, principles, and methodology have become more Gospel of the Kingdom centered and consistent with the truth of God’s Law/Word, the battle from within and from without, however, remains the same.

Certainly, as abolitionism spreads, more pro-life idolatry becomes exposed as we bear the cross to end the American holocaust God’s way. As this takes place, however, we must realize the same temptations, tactics of the Evil One, and our own sinful nature can conspire to take us down, splinter the movement, divide the brethren unjustly, and give ammo to the heathen to blaspheme the Lord.

As one wise man stated, “Those who don’t know history are condemned to repeat it.” As you read this article, let’s make sure we don’t repeat the folly and sin of those who have gone before us and the Lord has to take us to the wood shed and beat the “he double hockey sticks” out of us.

Pro-life Idolatry

“And the Lord said unto Moses, make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived (Numbers 21:8, 9).”

Israel was well on their way in the Exodus adventure. God’s promise to bring them out of bondage and into the Promised Land was coming to pass. True to form, however, at the slightest provocation, Israel griped, complained, and resorted back to the slave mentality of Egypt. God, in His vast patience, endured these numerous outbursts of unbelief time and again. In this particular incident, however, His longsuffering ended. The proverbial “straw that broke the camel’s back” fell. Israel crossed a line they would soon regret.

As their souls were discouraged along the way, they “spoke against the Lord.” God answered. Nature turned against them as “snakes on the plain” bit the people and many died (Numbers 21:6, 7). There is nothing like God’s judgment to cause people to reassess their situation and jar them back to reality. God’s Word states, “Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, we have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people (Numbers 21:7).”

Though God’s anger is for a moment, thankfully, His mercy endures forever. As God’s people repented, the Lord instructed Moses to fashion a brass snake and place it on a pole. Those who looked upon it were healed. To this day, the snake on a pole remains the symbol of healing in the medical profession.

Our Lord Jesus seized upon this Biblical example of God’s healing to declare His once and for all sacrifice for the sins of the world. John 3:14, 15 states, “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” Jesus promised that if He would be lifted up from the earth, He would draw men unto Himself (John 12:32). Through Him, God’s ultimate salvation and healing amongst the nations would be established.

Old Testament Israel, however, underwent a dreadful transition. Initially, the snake on the pole was a reminder of God’s great mercy of healing. Through the years, the nation turned it to an object of veneration. This was something that went beyond the scope of honoring God’s deliverance. Thus, it became an idol fit for destruction.

Israel had taken something good and turned it into something evil in God’s sight. Like some in the Church today, we can be tempted to exalt the gifts, instead of the Gift-giver. We can foolishly have faith in our faith, or we can corrupt God’s worship by worshipping our worship.

Nonetheless, it was left to King Hezekiah to make amends with God. Under his administration, he instituted many righteous reforms. God’s Word declares, “He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan (bronze thing) (2 Kings 18:4).”

By now, some may question how this teaching relates to the provocative title, “Pro-life Idolatry.” Glad you asked. As one who has been in the pro-life battle since the fall of 1988, I have witnessed the good, the bad, and the really ugly. In recent days, it seems the last twenty years has come to a head. Perhaps, God is at work, if we have eyes to see and hearts to respond to His corrections.

Although there was a pro-life movement before 1988, it was the Christian ministry of Operation Rescue that birthed genuine repentance amongst God’s people. God’s word was like a hammer and a fire (Jeremiah 23:29). Christians of all stripes and colors beat their breast, came low to the ground, and finally pointed the finger in the right direction, the Church.

This authentic heaven-sent brokenness produced fruits meant for repentance as tens of thousands of Christians stormed the gates of hell. To those who had the privilege to participate in this movement, Rescue was God’s answer to the many prayers that faithfully cried for revival in America. When it finally came, there was nothing we would have held back from God, not even our own lives.

As the years progressed, the Rescue movement underwent a similar dreadful transition. This modern day “snake on the pole” of true repentance, degenerated from something that once honored God (and I say this with tears) to something that has brought disgrace and shame to His name.

The early pictures of Rescue displayed Christians united in the cause of Christ. We wept, humbled ourselves before God, and turned from our wicked ways. We beseeched God to forgive our sins, the sins of our nation, and to heal our land.

Today’s news, however, makes public something quite different. The images have changed and none for the better. Much of it reveals a splintered rescue movement at each other’s throats. We took the Sword of the Lord to fight child sacrifice and and used it against our own brethren. Friendly fire ran rampant as the casualties mounted.

How did something so good and godly become such a travesty? Sin! God’s Word states, “But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work (James 3:14-16).”

Our sins of pride, lust, greed, envy, covetousness, and jealousy turned a sincere godly movement into another idol fit for destruction. Flip Benham, National Director of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America, concurs. He stated, “It was not because of FACE, RICO, lawsuits, justifiable homicide, timid pastors, weak churches, ad nauseam, that we failed. It was our own sin.”

Through the years, I have seen many Christians start well, but end terribly in this battle against the culture of death. Whereas the majority of the American Church professed love for God, most did not seem to care enough to love their neighbor as themselves. Many who named the name of Christ remained silent and inactive as babies were (and still are) targeted for slaughter.

Rescuers, however, not only took seriously our professed love for God, but also our duty to love our neighbor as well. Yet as the battle was prolonged and intensified, some in our movement became more pro-life than Christian. Subtlety, the commandments of God became inverted.

Instead of first loving God and then our neighbor, love for our neighbor eventually surpassed the first and greatest commandment. God’s order is important in God’s economy. It seemed the more our nation and the Church ignored the dead babies, the more obsessed many in our movement became.

Tragically, in the midst of this debacle, some became so embittered that they lost their first love. They ended up going rouge with no accountability and shipwrecked their lives. Revelation 2:4, 5 warns, “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

God’s Word is clear. The love of God is absolutely essential to keeping all His commandments (John 14:21). We do not have the option to pick and choose which commandments to obey based upon a pro-life agenda. This is why we must be Christians first, then pro-lifers. Jesus is the source of life.

Indeed, apart from Him, there is no life in pro-life. Thus, if we do not reconnect with Him and reestablish this divine order, we will continue in the Machiavellian “the ends justify the means,” strategies that have caused more harm than good.

We must remember that God is not only interested in the ends we achieve, but also the means by which we achieve them.

I would dare say that it has been this ungodly philosophy that is responsible for leading so many astray from the straight and narrow. At what price? Let me count the cost. It’s produced violence, jockeying for position, taking unwarranted credit, lying, cheating, theft, usurpation, gossip, false accusations, assuming the worst in people, judging motives, Christian cannibalism, and a host of other evils.

Yes, we have all learned too well in this battle how to bite and devour one another (Galatians 5:15). And what is the response, while these scandals take place? We smile at the cameras, justify ourselves, and invoke the name of Jesus upon our feigned lips.

In the midst of this duplicity, does anyone stop to consider what has happened to our hearts, the very ones that were once broken for the cause of Christ and the little ones made in His image? Have they become so hardened by the deceitfulness of sin that we can’t see the mess we’ve made (Hebrews 3:13)?

Tragically, this appears to be the case. Thus, most of us remain blinded and do what is right in our own eyes. When confronted with our misdeeds, we simply convince our embittered minds that all is fair in love and war. And besides, we still hold to the noble goal of ending the holocaust in America, right? Wrong!

We can do a good work in a bad way. We can also do a bad work in a good way. We can have a great motive to end abortion, but our actions can still be condemned as evil by God. On the other hand, we can have impure motives followed by godly actions. God demands right, right. He desires good motives that lead to godly actions.

God’s Word states, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all (James 2:10).” We shout from the mountain tops that God hates the hands that shed innocent blood and yet conveniently ignore that this same God hates those who sow discord among the brethren (Proverbs 6:16-19).

How much more division, bitterness, hatred, variance, strife, contention, wounds, hurts, and broken fellowship must come before we repent? How many more lambs will be fleeced and devoured as we seek to glorify ourselves instead of the God we claim to serve? We seek names, titles, funds, recognition, and our own legacies, while babies still die, the Church languishes in a state of denial, and America is going to hell in a hand basket.

To state that these things ought not to be, is the understatement of the century. Though we may have started out to love God and our neighbor as ourselves, many of us have ended up giving the enemies of the Lord reason to blaspheme Him. Jesus stated, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone (Matthew 23:23).”

Yes, it is right, just, and true to rescue those unjustly sentenced to death (Proverbs 24:11, 12). This we ought to do, but we should not neglect the other weighty matters of God’s Law/Word. Virtues like humility, servanthood, faithfulness, courage, truthfulness, integrity, and godly character, must be yoked with our pursuit to rescue the lost and perishing. God help us to return to pleasing, loving, and serving His purposes and not our own.

Recently, I was reading from our OSA Bible reading schedule in the Gospel of John. It inspired my own version of “I have a dream.” As our Lord was preparing for His departure, He stripped Himself, donned a cloth about his waist, got on his knees, and washed the feet of His disciples. Yes, He washed the feet of the one who would betray him, the one who would deny Him, and all who would forsake Him.

In my mind’s eye, I imagined what God would unleash from heaven if we who once were united in the cause of Christ against child-killing, came together, humbled ourselves, took ownership for our many sins, and repented. What would happen to the gates of hell if we got on our knees, washed each other’s feet as it were, and sought to make things right with God and with each other?

What would occur in this battle for the souls of men, the lives of children, and the future of America? This, I believe, is a dream worth dreaming but how many have the courage and humility to bring it to pass?

King David prayed, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23, 24).”

Assuredly, it is high time for the Christian pro-life movement to come back and make sure we are more Christian than pro-life. For the sake of our love for God, our preborn neighbor, and our bloodstained nation, let us end our pro-life idolatry and smash the “snake on the pole” in our own wicked hearts.

Let us, instead, cling to the cross on which our precious Savior died. Perhaps, God would then be pleased to birth another movement of repentance amongst His people that will finally end the American holocaust. “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen (1 John 5:21)”.
