On my way back to Wichita yesterday, I received an interesting phone call from HBO. They are interested in coming to be embedded within OSA for our national event in Wichita from July 16-23. They desire to film a documentary on the battle over abortion in America. They are curious about what the future may hold, plus, the history of the battle as it relates to Wichita. Specifically, what happened at the Summer of Mercy event that changed the course of abortion in America.
As we share the vision and mission of our national event from July 16-23, it is becoming clear that this project is taking on a life of its own. Diverse entities are interested in what may happen for a variety of reasons. Regardless, it now looks like with HBO’s involvement, our Biblical messages and godly activities will go international. Obviously, the need for intercession to make sure we stay faithful to God and speak the truth in love to overcome the culture of death has risen exponentially.
Letter Sent to 600 Pastors in Wichita
Our boots on the ground in Wichita have been diligent to spread the vision and mission. A dear brother who fought the battle back in 1991 is letting us use his contact list of 600 pastors to promote the Summer of Justice. This is the letter that went out. There will be more to follow.
Operation Save America (OSA), whose mission is for repentance and restoration of America, is planning their national event in Wichita this summer commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Summer of Mercy. OSA is partnering with the Wichita “church” for a week of events that are scheduled for July 16th through the 23rd.
The 1991 Summer of Mercy signaled a significant turning point in the battle against child killing in America as well as Wichita. In 1991 there were 2167 free standing abortion mills in America and four in Wichita. Today there are 517 mills defiling our nation and one left in Wichita.
Prolife Christians in America have unfinished kingdom business that we must complete in Jesus’ name.
We are calling all prolife Christians and churches in Wichita and across Kansas to mark your calendars, pray, and prepare your hearts for this monumental event.
“The gates of hell will not prevail against the church of the living God.”(Matt. 16:18)
“Dear Pastor/Local Church Leader,
The Prolife movement is clearly winning nationally. It is time to shine the light again in Wichita, Kansas. The legal free speech rights as churches and believers are a powerful tool to push back darkness. When we as Christians sing and pray and speak the word at the actual clinic abortion reduces and sometimes stops. All of us as one church are unstoppable. This is the first letter of several to help keep you informed related to this week of events and encourage you to participate and bring others.

Lastly, the Lord opened the door to meet with Dick Bott who runs 102 radio stations throughout America. He is completely on board to promote the event nationwide. God willing, we will meet this Thursday to come up with a plan.
God is moving and opening incredible doors. Right after Wichita, it will be off to Montgomery, AL to stand with Chief Justice Roy Moore. They are having a rally at 300 Dexter Ave at the Alabama Supreme Court on May 21st, at 11 AM. They asked me to share a brief exhortation in support of Chief Justice Roy Moore. Right afterwards, there will be a meeting with the locals to discuss how we can all help in the future.
Keep pressing on saints and I hope you are making plans to come to Wichita. It is shaping up to be quite a time in the Lord’s providence.
Abortion Violation: Eye for an Eye
This is a portion of our book that deals with God’s consistent view of justice for the born and preborn. He makes no distinction and neither should we, if we call ourselves God’s people.
“Those who erroneously believe God’s Word does not address abortion have not studied the Bible. God’s law specifically deals with the child in the womb. Exodus says:
If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye’s sake. And if he smite out his manservant’s tooth, or his maidservant’s tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth’s sake. (Exodus 21:22–27)
Contrary to popular interpretations, this passage does not promote vigilantism or revenge. In truth, it displays the brilliance of God’s justice. The essence of the passage deals with a vital legal principle known as Lex Talionis, Latin for “law of retaliation.” In the science of criminology, this tenet translates, “The punishment should fit the crime.”
The penalty should not be less than the crime deserves. Otherwise, there is a danger that injustice may spread. Ecclesiastes 8:11 warns, “Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” On the other hand, if retribution exceeds the crime, it can turn lawful authorities into abusive tyrants. In a sense, this legal principle is God’s Golden Rule applied in the area of justice (Luke 6:31).
In context, this passage addresses men fighting among themselves. As is prone to happen, a woman may become involved and hurt in the struggle. If she is pregnant and no harm comes to her or the child in her womb, her husband may still plead his case. The judge will determine whether his case holds any validity. But if mischief follows and the woman or the child in the womb are harmed, God’s Word demands, “Life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.” Undoubtedly, God’s justice extends to the child in the womb.”
This does not exclude the church having compassion upon the criminal. The state is the ministry of justice that should be concerned about the physical welfare of its citizens, protect life and stop the shedding of innocent blood, while the church, is to be the ministry of grace that is concerned about the spiritual welfare of men and nations. These are not in conflict with each other. They both represent divine attributes of God, justice and mercy. You cannot have one without the other. Mercy indeed triumphs over judgment, but mercy cannot be obtained apart from judgment.
This is why the Micah mandate is so important. Micah 6:8 declares, “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” The order is important to God. First justice, a justice that will lead to victory, then it is mercy and a humble submission to God.
Jesus rebuked the religious system of His day for failing to demonstrate the Micah mandate in His generation (Matthew 23:23). As we consider the response of the church when it comes to the injustice against the preborn, what do you think the Lord would say to us today?

“Once again, the pro-life industry is exposed for what it is, a tasteless enabler of perdition. Donald Trump suggests and rightly so that there should be some form of punishment that should be attached to the murderous act of abortion. Liberals, conservatives, and the usual suspects in the pro-life movement became unglued. They lined up to condemn him.
They believe he is out of step with the official “pro-life” seal of approval. Little do they realize how far out of touch they are when it comes to Biblical reality. God calls it murder and He treats it as murder.
The church and state may fail in treating this demonic scourge for what it is, but God cannot deny Himself. He is the God of justice and mercy. If our government does not punish murder, the penalty does not just magically disappear. It merely moves from the ones guilty of murder to a society that condones it.
God and His moral commandments are inescapable. They provide the framework of all reality. They establish spiritual gravity. Bloodshed touches bloodshed. It breaks out like a plague. If we want violence to be curbed in America and peace to return, we must treat abortion as murder and penalize it accordingly.
There are cases where women are victimized by abortion and we need to be mindful and compassionate towards them. Having stated this, however, it is also reality that most women who obtain abortions are not victims. The baby in the womb is the only victim when their parent’s sexual immorality lead them to commit a murderous act.
For those of us who regularly minister at death camps, we know for sure that most women know exactly what they are doing and are defiant in behavior. They scream, yell, attack, curse, give you the finger, blaspheme, and do vile acts to justify the murder they are about to commit.
In them, the Proverb is fulfilled, “This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, and says, “I have done no wickedness” (Proverbs 30:20).
Whether or not our government, church, or society calls what they do murder and penalize accordingly, know this for certain, no murderer has eternal life abiding in them. They will not inherit heaven, unless they confess this sin and repent of the crime of murder. They must come into agreement with God on this crucial matter or be lost forever.
Isaiah 55:7 states, “Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.”
When we meet His conditions, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Praise be to God for His unspeakable gift that is full of glory and great joy!
In a recent article, Pastor Matt Trewhella commenting on the Trump controversy wrote:
“Even The U. S. Supreme Court saw the inconsistency of such non-penalties. Blackmun used the lack of punishment to the woman and the low punishment to the abortionist as proof that the preborn child must not be “a person.”
The Roe v. Wade opinion reads:
“There are other inconsistencies between Fourteenth Amendment status and the typical abortion statute. It has already been pointed out, n. 49, supra, that, in Texas, the woman is not a principal or an accomplice with respect to an abortion upon her. If the fetus is a person, why is the woman not a principal or an accomplice? Further, the penalty for criminal abortion specified by Art. 1195 is significantly less than the maximum penalty for murder prescribed by Art. 1257 of the Texas Penal Code. If the fetus is a person, may the penalties be different?” [Endnote 54]
The Court is pointing out the incongruity of the Texas law. 1.) The 3 to 6-year sentence for the abortionist came far short of the capital punishment proper to anyone convicted of the premeditated murder of another person; and, 2.) the mother is not punished at all.
By refusing to criminalize the actions of the woman and instead labeling her a victim – we undermine both the humanity of the preborn child and the rightly stated argument that abortion is murder.
When we are asked what the punishment should be for women who have illegal abortions, we should unashamedly respond – whatever the penalty is for murder in the state where it takes place.
Of course, as Christians, we offer the good news of redemption through Christ to those guilty of abortion, just as we would any other criminal guilty of a capital crime. But that does not negate the God-given role of the civil magistrate to administer just punishment on behalf of society.
To think otherwise about this matter, is to give credence to the present matriarchal bloodlust in our nation, just as the Romans gave credence to the past patriarchal bloodlust of fathers who could murder their own sons and daughters by leaving them at the infanticide wall to die.
The needed change is coming. A paradigm shift to end the American holocaust is being established. The Gentle Revolution is gaining momentum. Come join this groundbreaking broadcast and invite others as well. The train is leaving the station and it is time to jump on board.

Abortion activists set to return to Wichita to mark ‘Summer of Mercy’ anniversary
Protests in 1991 led to nearly 2,700 arrests
Local clinic planning for increased security
National group wants officials to defy Roe vs. Wade
By Suzanne Perez Tobias
Hundreds of people from around the country are expected to converge in Wichita this summer for a week of anti-abortion rallies, protests and prayer vigils marking the 25th anniversary of the “Summer of Mercy” campaign.
“Some of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in my life happened right here in Wichita,” said Rusty Thomas, director of Operation Save America, an anti-abortion group based in Waco, Texas.
“What I’m writing in my brochure is: ‘Some of you were there. This is our reunion.’ ”
Operation Save America is a successor to Operation Rescue, whose 46-day “Summer of Mercy” campaign in 1991 resulted in nearly 2,700 arrests as protesters blocked access to clinics where abortions were performed.
This summer, July 16-23, the group plans to partner with local churches to organize protests against abortion. Its agenda includes “street activities” outside South Wind Women’s Center, a clinic operating at George Tiller’s former practice on East Kellogg, Thomas said.
“There’s a proverb that says, ‘We make our plans but God directs our steps,’ ” he said. “We go to these evil places and address that evil and hopefully overcome it and set the captive free.
Julie Burkhart, founder of Trust Women, an abortion-rights nonprofit that established South Wind, said she’s aware of the milestone anniversary and will be “taking security here at the clinic very seriously” during the planned protests.
“Pregnancy is a very personal thing. Whether a woman wants to carry a pregnancy to term and be a parent, or adopt, or have an abortion – those are all things that are a matter of the heart,” Burkhart said.
“So the disruptiveness that they’re going to bring this summer is certainly not welcome because it scares our patients, and they find it intimidating.”
Thomas, the Operation Save America official, said the group’s strategy has shifted recently.
This year’s event will include constitutional scholars and guest speakers who argue that Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that established a constitutional right to abortion, “impugns the law of God” and should be ignored.
“We’re talking about defying it,” Thomas said. “Just flat-out defying it.”
Citing the “doctrine of the lesser magistrate,” a concept in Protestant thought, Thomas said activists are looking for a governor, sheriff or other local official who will disobey the Supreme Court decision outright and order an end to abortion.
“Any human law that directly violates the commandment of God is no law at all,” Thomas said. “You have to have the lesser magistrate to restore law and order, to check the lawlessness that’s coming out of Washington, D.C.
“What we want to produce here is a paradigm shift in how we view government, how we view God, how we view abortion,” Thomas said.
Burkhart, the Trust Women founder, said that strategy “seems like vigilantism and people just wanting to take things into their own hands.”
“I think that leads to potentially very dangerous territory,” she said.
“And whose God are we talking about? Because I think we have a lot of different perspectives and belief systems in this country when it comes to God, so whose God is going to be represented?”
Thomas said local and national anti-abortion activists gathering in Wichita will be a peaceful presence.
“Not only do we not advocate violence, but we’ve been on the forefront of rebuking others who do,” Thomas said. “That’s very important that you understand the spirit in which we come.
“We don’t overcome evil by becoming evil. You don’t become what you’re seeking to end.”
The “Summer of Mercy” protests in 1991 targeted Tiller, who performed late-term abortions and other services at his Wichita clinic.
Crowds of protestors showed up each morning at the East Kellogg clinic or other clinics in Wichita and spent hours singing and praying. Occasionally, a patient seeking an abortion would drive toward the clinic and protestors would fling themselves over a police barricade, blocking the entrance by sitting or lying in the street.
Police arrested thousands of protestors for trespassing, putting them in plastic handcuffs and transporting them to jail in vans or buses.
“It was like Old Testament-caliber miracles took place,” said Thomas, who traveled from Florida to Wichita to be part of the 1991 protests.
“I can remember being at Tiller’s gate and people driving by – businesswomen, construction workers – literally being apprehended by the spirit of God, pulling over and saying, ‘I’m on my way to work, but I can’t go. What do you want me to do?’ Then being arrested and being taken to jail, weeping all the way,” he said.
“Something happened in 1991 that began to turn the tide of abortion in America.”
Today, Wichita’s South Wind clinic is the only abortion provider for at least 150 miles in any direction. Nationwide since 2011, at least 162 abortion providers have closed or stopped performing abortions – the swiftest annual decline in the number of abortion providers ever, according to Bloomberg News.
Burkhart is planning to open another clinic in Oklahoma City this summer, which would be the first to open in that state since 1974.
“We have a health care crisis in this part of the country, and we see fewer providers because of the stigma that’s been placed on physicians who provide abortion care,” she said.
Burkhart was home from college on summer break in 1991 and worked as an office assistant at a former abortion clinic at Market and Pine during the protests. She said the experience cemented her convictions.
“Even though I was in favor of a woman’s right to have an abortion, it really solidified that even more for me,” she said. “To walk through that – I definitely have vivid memories.”
She later met and worked for Tiller, the physician at the center of protests who was shot and killed by an anti-abortion protester while attending church in 2009. She considered leaving the abortion-rights movement after Tiller’s death but eventually established Trust Women and opened South Wind in 2013.
“Even though we have all of these obstacles on the books, hoops that women have to jump through … abortion care remains incredibly safe,” Burkhart said. “We want to make sure women continue to have access.”
Rob Rotola, senior pastor of Word of Life Church, said his north Wichita church has agreed to be the host site for nightly rallies during this summer’s anti-abortion events.
“The marking of the anniversary is not particularly what’s important to me,” Rotola said. “Just the activity that goes on in exposing what they do at these places and the fact that there are options for women.”
David Gittrich, state development director of Kansans for Life, said the 1991 protests in Wichita brought international attention to the abortion issue and helped turn the tide politically in the state.
“Really what it did was make people think about it,” Gittrich said. “And when people have to think about it rather than just gloss over it or talk about it in the abstract, they have to make up their mind.”
The protests ushered in more conservative state lawmakers and other public officials, Gittrich said. A vast majority of Kansas’ elected officials – 30 out of 40 state senators and 90 out of 125 representatives – claim to be anti-abortion, he said, in addition to the governor and those who hold other statewide offices.
“I think Kansas is pro-life. There aren’t many people who still think abortion is a wonderful thing,” he said.
“I think Kansas is starting to recognize the value of families and recognize the value of children and recognize that this experiment called abortion was horrible and has left many women devastated.
“I think Kansas is becoming a state that loves their families.”
