UPDATE: County Clerk Kim Davis Jailed

Yesterday a federal judge imprisoned Kim Davis. The judge declared that she must uphold the law. We respond by saying: What law? There is not a single law in the whole state of Kentucky that requires any public official to accommodate homosexual marriage. In fact, every law in the entire state requires that they NOT accommodate homosexual marriage.

Furthermore, there is not a single federal law within all the thousands of plethora of federal laws that requires Kentucky officials to marry homosexuals.

The truth is Kim Davis is upholding the law. She is trying to rein in the lawlessness of the federal judiciary. The Supreme Court is the anarchist here – Kim Davis is trying to restore order.

The American people have been fed a fiction – that everyone must obey the Supreme Court because of the Supremacy Clause.

When you read the Supremacy Clause however – Article 6, paragraph 2 of the U.S. Constitution – you see that the Supreme Court or federal courts are not even mentioned. Rather, what has supremacy is the U. S. Constitution itself and all laws or treaties made in accordance with the Constitution.

True federalism understands that all magistrates – whatever their level or sphere of jurisdiction – possess lawful authority. And that whenever one branch of government begins to play the tyrant – all other branches (whether federal, state, county, or local) have the duty then more than ever to uphold the Constitution and oppose that branch acting tyrannically – even if that branch is the Supreme Court.

Let us say loud and clear: The Supreme Court cannot make law. That takes legislators. Their opinion is not the ‘law of the land.’

What Kim Davis has done is not about religious liberty – it is about reining in a lawless federal judiciary.

It is now incumbent upon all other magistrates – sheriff’s, district attorneys, judges from all spheres of government, and legislators from all spheres of government – to rally around Kim Davis, interpose on her behalf, and defy a lawless federal judiciary.

It is now incumbent upon the people to rally around Kim Davis and assure her of their support – with their persons, with their finances, with their prayers. They must also prod their state and federal magistrates to interpose on her behalf and defy the lawlessness of the federal judiciary.

Kim Davis is to be commended. Precious few magistrates in our nation have decided not to pay homage to the Supreme Court. But this has been the history of Christian people. Because their fealty is to Christ first and not the State – they benefit the civil authorities and the nation as a whole.

By their refusal to comply with immoral decrees by the State, they remind the civil authority that their authority is delegated and has limits. Perhaps it will cause those acting tyrannically to recover themselves and repent. They also benefit the nation – because their obedience to Christ and subsequent suffering acts as a check against tyranny and preserves liberty and moral sanity.

God’s Law vs. Man’s Law

“These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king—Jesus” (Acts 17:6, 7).

Most are aware that life is made up of a series of conflicts. The battle between good and evil rages within each human heart and it manifests without amongst men and nations. Since time memorial, war has been and continues to be a common experience that plagues our poor-fallen world. It is a constant reminder of the lust, greed, and avarice that arouse men and nations to cruelly conquer and dominate their weaker neighbors. The Apostle James reveals the source of war that plagues the sons of men:

Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.  You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers an adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God (James 4:1-4).

R J Rushdoony helps to illuminate this battle. He wrote:

This peace, (God’s peace) however, is more than the absence of hostilities: it is peace with God. Peace with God means warfare with the enemies of God. Christ made it clear that allegiances to Him meant a sword of division (Matthew 10:34-36). In a sinful world, some warfare is inescapable. A man must therefore pick his enemies: God or sinful man? If a man is at peace with sinful men, he is at war with God. Peace in one sector means warfare in another. God alone, however, can give inner peace now, and, finally, world peace through his sovereign law (Micah 4:2).

According to our opening passage of Scripture, the battle comes down to two vital issues. Who is Lord and whose laws are to govern in the affairs of men? Who is the final authority? Is it Almighty God or Caesar? Whose laws reign? Is it the laws of flawed men, which in many cases codifies evil into law or the righteous laws of God that protects the liberty Christ died to secure for the sons of men?

Notice that the accusation against the early church that “turned the world upside down” was not “There is another Savior and He has a wonderful plan for your life.” No, the early Church suffered great persecution because the revelation of another King and the laws of His Kingdom that burned brightly through their lives. His decrees were contrary to Caesar. This was the clear and present danger to the political tyrants and religious oppressors of their day.

We must remember that Rome was not threatened religiously by the new sect called Christianity. They were threatened politically. There was religious freedom under Roman occupation. You could worship the god of your choice. Every land, nation, and tribe that Rome conquered, however, was required to pledge a civil and religious loyalty oath to Caesar.

Caesar demanded that every knee bow and every tongue confess that he was Lord. It was the full manifestation of emperor cult worship that flourished under pagan rule. Not only did Caesar demand lawful submission to civil authority, but a pinch of incense to honor his deity. Christians whose conscience was bound to the Lordship of Christ could not cross this idolatrous line. They courageously maintained their worshipful allegiance that belonged to God alone. Subsequently, many died because of their refusal to worship Caesar.

Tragically, the Jews of the day submitted to this idolatry. Though they were free to worship Jehovah in the temple, once they left the temple, however, they were forced to confess “Caesar is Lord!” Did they do so willingly? God’s Word testifies in the affirmative. When it came to the revelation of the Kingship of Jesus Christ John 19:15 states, “But they cried out, away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.”

Man is still faced with this choice today. If Jesus is not the rightful Sovereign King and His law not binding upon all men and nations at all times, then men are left with two failed options. The state is therefore king, which has led historically to unprecedented murderous regimes that crushed the people they claimed to serve, or the individual is sovereign which inevitably leads to chaos, confusion, and anarchy.

Only One Nation under God can secure the delicate tension between authority and liberty. Only One Nation under God can provide a proper social order on one hand with maximum individual freedom on the other hand. There is no other worldview or faith that can accomplish this upon earth.

Laws of a Nation Reveal the gods of a Nation

The laws that govern societies reveal the gods worshipped by nations. Any person, religion, philosophy, institution, court, or group who assumes final authority and arbitrator of good and evil, have taken unto themselves the status of godhood. In that sense, all men and nations adopt a theocratic position, which in most cases reinforces the Fall of man. They enable the lie Satan passed to our first parents. Genesis 3:1-5 reveals the masterful con job perpetrated by the Evil One:

“Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:1-5)

Notice the subtle attack of the enemy. He did not directly take on God nor even man for that matter. He went after the revealed Word, will, and way of the Lord. He called God’s commandment into question. Doubts arise, do they not? It certainly did in the case of Eve, whom the Bible states was deceived, Adam, however, sinned.

Eve’s response to Satan’s temptation is telling. It was the first recorded case of legalism. God said, “Do not eat, lest you die.” Eve added to God’s commandment, “nor shall you touch it.” On the spot, she manufactured her own man-made tradition. This produced the Forbidden Fruit syndrome that plagues mankind to this day. The more man tries to work holiness from the outside in, through religious rules, the more evil entices and enslaves men’s soul. It is this dilemma that Jesus addressed in His day. He stated:

Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.  Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: “These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:6-9).

The next suggestion by Satan exposes the battle between God’s authority and law vs. man’s pursuit of autonomy. It is this deception that convinces unregenerate men to be a law and god unto themselves. Satan declared, “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

He was not offering them the understanding of knowing the concepts of good and evil. His deceptive proposal was for them to reject the objective truth of God and His Law and to determine for themselves subjectively what was good and evil to them. No need to obey God when you can replace Him and become a law and god unto yourself. This reveals the source of conflict between God’s Law vs. man’s law that rages to this day.

God’s Negative Law vs. Man’s Positive Law

God’s laws are negative in nature. Most of God’s commands commence with “Thou Shalt Not!” Though negative in nature, they are the bulwark of liberty. They are the embankments that keep the river of freedom flowing properly. Remove the embankments and liberty becomes licentiousness, which invariably results in tyranny. Self-government, under God, remains the key to liberty.

Man’s attempts at law, however, are positive in nature. Government declares, “Thou shalt” with taxes, license fees, and regulatory fines attached to increase government’s scope of power. Positive laws subject citizens to the dictates of government, which typically curtails their freedom already granted to them by God.

The Declaration of Independence touched on this dilemma. Our Founding Fathers articulated that our liberties originated with God and government’s purpose was to protect our God-given rights. Statists use positive law to control its citizens. It is this fabricated law system that diminishes our liberty.

G K Chesterton stated, “If man will not subject himself to the Ten Commandments of God, he will be made subject to the ten thousand commandments of men.” Subsequently, the removal of the Ten Commandments from the public life of our nation does not serve to make America more free. It actually increased the size and scope of the Federal beast.

The historian from antiquity, Cornelius Tacitus, concurs, “The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.” Review all the laws on the books that micro-manage American life today to affirm the veracity of these statements. If added up, all the regulations, licenses, and bureaucratic policies would tower over our heads. If they physically fell upon us, the mere weight would crush us to powder. The lesson is clear. Rebellion against God, the breaking of his bonds and the severing of his cords does not make us free (Psalm 2). It leads to increased bondage and civil despotism. In this, the historical admonishment rings true, “Those who will not be ruled by God, will be ruled by tyrants.”

Besides these realities, God did not give his laws to make men good. He established his laws to restrain evil and to protect the life, liberty, and property of His creatures. Spiritually, He established His law as a tutor to lead depraved men to his Son to partake of His great salvation (Galatians 3:24).

Man’s view of law seeks to force men to be “good,” by restricting their liberty. In other words, secularists do not reject the notion of salvation. They just reject God’s version of redemption. Man can still be “perfected” by keeping their laws and public policies. This is why leftists gravitate toward seats of power. They must capture the sword of civil government to implement their plan to “save” the world through their positive laws. Thus, citizens are reduced to mere guinea pigs in their grand social experiment to establish their secular version of Utopia.

Christians rightly reject these despotic notions. Man’s salvation only comes by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8, 9). Acts 4:12 affirms this truth, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name (Jesus Christ) under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Is Law a Fixed Eternal Standard or Evolutionary in Nature?

Darwinism not only corrupted the study of biology and provided the intellectual justification for genocide, the theory spread to subvert the law itself. As a legal theorist and Supreme Court Justice, Oliver Wendell Holmes, became infatuated with Darwin and his evolutionary theory. He, along with a few like-minded jurists in the early twentieth century, expanded evolutionary “science” to influence the discipline of law.

Holmes was one of the first who sought to remove the transcendent understanding of law. Holmes emphasized man’s experience and circumstances, rather than a fixed standard, as the basis for law. To him, truth was relative, not absolute. Holmes did not want our system of law to derive its basis from divine law. That outdated social construct had run its course as far as Holmes was concerned. A new “enlightened” social construct was in order, one that was based on an evolving view of law.

Eventually, this novel judicial mind-set influenced other adjudicators in our nation to view our Constitution as a “living” document rather than a fixed standard for the rule of law. Holmes believed legal principles should develop and adapt to man’s progress. Though probably not intentional, he ended up fulfilling Thomas Jefferson’s worse fears when it came to the judiciary. Thomas Jefferson warned, “The constitution, on this hypothesis, is a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they please.”

The concept of law promoted by Holmes is known as legal positivism. Legal positivism implies the law does not need to have an ethical basis. In other words, it is not necessary for law to have a moral foundation. Holmes was a hardcore pragmatist. Absolute truth, righteousness, or morality was none of his concern. All that mattered was “what works” as men evolve.

It is this betrayal against God’s law as the foundation of man’s law that moved American jurisprudence to adopt legal positivism. It supplanted Blackstone’s “law of nature (eternal laws of good and evil) and the law of revelation, found only in the Scriptures” as the basis for human law. Interestingly enough, until the mid 1800s competent lawyers in the defense of American liberty thoroughly studied Sir William Blackstone’s, Commentaries on the Laws of England. In 1870, however, a major paradigm shift in the concept of law occurred.

Christopher Columbus Langdell, dean of the Harvard Law School, embarked on a campaign of judicial reform. The “reform” Langdell birthed made him the father of the current “case method” legal model. The case method uses the study of man’s experience, previous court cases, and prior judge’s rulings as the basis for “law.”

Starting with Langdell and proceeding to Holmes, American law was divorced from God and morality. Thus, Blackstone fell to the wayside. The law became the study of human court decisions and precedent based upon fallible men, instead of the infallible standard of God’s Law. It became an evolving concept rather than a fixed, transcendent, eternal standard based upon the moral commandments of Almighty God.

Conclusion of the Matter

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14).

Previously, Sir William Blackstone was mentioned. This is what he believed about the relationship between God’s Law and man’s law, “Upon these two foundations, the law of nature (the eternal laws of good and evil) and the law of revelation (found only in the scriptures), depend all human laws. That is to say, no human laws should be allowed to contradict these.”

In other words, any human law that is not rooted in these two underlying premises for law is no law at all. More recently, Martin Luther King Jr. affirmed this truth. He gave this apologetic on law:

There are two types of law: just and unjust. I would be the first advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that ‘an unjust law is no law at all.’ Now what is the difference between the two? How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law and natural law.

We have a national holiday and many streets named after this preacher who believed such things in his day. America has rejected this premise in our day and the fruit of our rebellion is ripe unto decay. Psalms 2 reminds us who the true Lawgiver is and He sends a warning to men and nations:

Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

 

 

When our federal government codifies evil into law and promotes lawlessness under the guise of law, is it any wonder why our law enforcement officials are being attacked and gunned downed?

Our government has gone to great lengths to remove the knowledge of God from the public life of our nation. Nature abhors a vacuum. Violence and perversion always replaces Him.

Roe vs. Wade gave birth to the culture of death. Our law enforcement was co-opted by this wicked decree that betrayed their sacred trust, which is protect life and stop the shedding of innocent blood. For years, they protected murderers who savaged innocent babies in the womb for blood money. These are precious children who are made in the image of God. God will not be mocked, however! What a man or nation sows, it will surely reap. Bloodshed touches bloodshed. It will break out like a plague.

This so-called “law” has raised an entire generation that taught them, if you have a problem, kill it. Now we stand in awkward amazement that life is cheapened and our young people are acting upon the death ethic our Supreme Court decriminalized.

My heart certainly breaks and my prayers go out to the families of police officers that are being murdered in cold blood for no apparent rhyme or reason. But until our nation deals with the running faucet of innocent blood that is being shed at the death camps throughout America, violence will continue to act as a rod to punish our national sin of blood guiltiness.

God grant us leaders that connect the dots and with courage will rise up to end the American holocaust and the parading of our sin like Sodom. Once Americans stop hating God by loving death, perhaps God will revive America once again.

Washington Post headline reads, “The gun in his hand, not the gay in his heart.”  The title of the article was addressing the recent murder of two journalists gunned down by a disgruntled, gay, black man. The assailant’s name was Vester Lee Flanagan, who reported on-air under the name of Bryce Williams.

Apparently, this man was deeply troubled and caused trouble every where he worked. When investigating his home by authorities, they found abject squalor, gay porn, and other deviant “toys.”

His life represented to America the new celebrity status afforded by our corrupt government and deceived culture. He was black, a minority and he was homosexual. He was everything our nation has grown to love, worship and adore. What went wrong in his case?

It certainly was not based upon race. Only whites that kills blacks are worthy to be considered racism by our politically correct media. When blacks kill whites it must never be considered racism. No, in those cases, it should be considered a gun problem. This way liberal politicians can beat the drum calling for more gun control.

His crimes, according to the headline, should not be connected to his homosexuality either. This could lead our nation to question the virtue of our new morality that has enlightened our dark nation of homophobes.

Mark Twain, however, stated, “Facts are stubborn things.” And then, there is of course, something called truth, which is even far more stubborn and firm than facts. You can have facts, but your interpretation of them does not necessarily lead you to the truth.

First, the promiscuity amongst homosexuals is legendary. Monogamy is a foreign practice to most homosexuals. Despite their push for the acceptance of “homosexual marriage,” which is an oxymoron, the majority of those who practice homosexuality crave numerous partners. Why do they pursue this compulsive avarice? Lust is never content. Proverbs warns, “Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied (Proverbs 27:20).”

Whereas the average heterosexual man has six sexual partners, according to a study by Paul Van de Ven, et al., in the Journal of Sex Research, “The modal range for number of male sexual partners [for homosexuals] was 101-500.”  Another 10.2 percent to 15.7 percent had between 501 and 1,000 partners.

Secondly, homosexuals engage in risky behavior-behavior that has unleashed a torrent of sexually transmitted diseases. Homosexual and bisexual acts are still chiefly responsible for the transmission of HIV/AIDS. According to the CDC, homosexuals represent approximately 2 percent of the population, “yet are the population most severely affected by HIV and are the only risk group in which new HIV infections have been increasing steadily since the early 1990s.”

In 2006, homosexual men “accounted for more than half (53 percent) of all new HIV infections in the United States.” Homosexuals and bisexuals “with a history of injection drug use…accounted for an additional 4 percent of new infections.” That means 57 percent of new infections originate from 2 percent of the population! Statistics prove “since the beginning of the US epidemic,” homosexuals and bisexuals “have consistently represented the largest percentage of persons diagnosed with AIDS and persons with an AIDS diagnosis who have died.” In addition, “The rate of new HIV diagnoses” for homosexuals “is more than 44 times that of other men.” These sobering statistics foreshadow a tragic end to those who seek to normalize this abominable sexual practice.

Thirdly, the homosexual lifestyle breeds violence. Homosexuals sow and reap violence far beyond the national average. Their lifestyle is a magnet for aggression. Dr. Paul Cameron, of the Family Research Institute, writes, “The top six U.S. male serial killers were all gay.” He cites a study that shows “of 518 sexually-tinged mass murders in the U.S. from 1966 to 1983 determined that 350 (68%) of the victims were killed by those who practiced homosexuality and that 19 (44%) of the 43 murderers were bisexuals or homosexuals.”

According to another survey conducted by the Public Health Agency of Canada, “The rate of spousal violence reported between same-sex couples was twice the rate of violence between heterosexual couples.”

Cameron commenting on the scourge of child molestation determined, “Between 15% to 40% of statutory rape (child molestation) involves homosexuality.” As you read these alarming statistics, keep in mind once again that homosexuals only make up 2 percent of the population.

The author of over ninety scientific articles and the books The Gay Nineties and Exposing the AIDS Scandal, Cameron maintains:

In line with traditional psychiatric opinion, violence goes hand-in-hand with the “gay” lifestyle. Almost all the exposure by homosexuals to violence and disease is encountered in the gay subculture. Most of the murderers in the lifespan study whose sexual orientation could be determined were also homosexual. While violence toward homosexuals is deplorable, most violence involving gays is self-induced (and the gay subculture may export more violence than it absorbs from without).

If one visited an emergency room in any major city with a high population of homosexuals, one would be aghast at their absolute disregard for the limits of the human body. To obtain sexual gratification, it is not permissible to mention the abuse they commit to disfigure, mutilate, and mar their bodies. Interestingly enough, the term the King James Version of the Bible ascribes to the sin and crime of homosexuality is “abusers of themselves with mankind.” What the Scriptures teach, the emergency rooms verify.

Lastly, the average homosexual life span is about half the life span of the average heterosexual.  Indeed, the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). The evidence that homosexual sin is an abomination to God is not only revealed by national statistics, but more importantly, by God’s Word itself. Psalm 55:23 warns, “But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in You. ” The Left seeks to sanitize and normalize this lifestyle, which leads to devastation. First it will come upon those who practice it and subsequently upon a nation that condones it.
It is the Apple Stupid
The headline from the Washington Post reveals an incredible misunderstanding of the reality associated with the world God created. Humanists, atheists, and secularists believe the source of man’s woe originates in the environment. The Marxist, Lincoln Steffens, seeking to justify this premise theologically declared, “It was, it is, the apple.” Thus, according to communism, socialism and every other statist, totalitarian system of men, the blame lies not with the disobedience of man to God’s revealed law. It was not the treacherous act committed by our first parents against their Creator. No, man’s wretched condition stems from the environment, “the apple.”

It is this underlying worldview, which inspires liberals, communists, socialists, humanists, and secularist’s attraction to seats of governmental authority. Since these “true believers” reject the existence of God, His merciful offer of salvation, and future rewards and punishment, they honestly think that man’s perfection can be realized on earth by statist manipulation of “law” and socialistic public policy. The Obama administration follows this ideology with unerring accuracy. The Christian faith rejects this erroneous notion. Law was never intended to be the source of man’s salvation. Primarily, the law was given to reveal our need for salvation.

Man is saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8, 9). The law was not meant to save, but to convict men of their sin and thus drive them to the mercy seat of Christ. The Apostle Paul taught, “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith (Galatians 3:24).” No manipulation of laws and public policy can perfect men from without. Why, because the true source of man’s problems originates from within.

In Matthew 15:19, 20, Jesus zeroed in on the source of man’s dilemma. He stated, ” For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.” According to King David, man is conceived in sin and goes astray from the womb (Psalm 51:5; 58:3).

The Apostle Paul affirms this theme, which reveals the true state of mankind.  Romans 3:10-18 states:

As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” “Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison of asps is under their lips”; “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

In light of this recent tragedy in Virginia, this article was written to answer two profound questions. First, what is the true source of mankind’s problems? Is it guns, racism, homophobia or is it something else entirely? Man, apart from God, has their opinions. Second, based upon differing evaluations, what is the correct solution? All good doctors know that the key to their success in healing people is through correctly diagnosing their illnesses. Through a series of tests, doctors rule out possibilities in the hopes they can trace the true source of what ails their patients. Commonsense tells us without the correct diagnosis, it does not make a difference what cure a doctor may prescribe. It will never bring the desired results. In fact, in some cases, the cure can be worse than the disease.

This is an apt picture of our nation. Our government and culture is becoming more polluted with violence and perversion, while we vainly treat symptoms and ignore the roots of our woe. God’s solution does not change with the times and will not bow to the defiant rulings of fallen men clothed with black robes seated in positions of judicial authority. The source of our woe in within man and it is called sin. The only solution is God’s merciful salvation through the merits of His Son, Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

God once again watches over His word to perform it. David Day, our boots on the ground in Montgomery, who helped prepare our way into Montgomery for our national event, contacted me with this report.

Two pastors joined him at the gates of hell, along with other saints. One pastor just wept as he ministered the word of God to those who were being led astray towards slaughter. I believe two lives were spared as God’s people intervened with the Gospel of the Kingdom.

There is other developing news, which I cannot reveal at this time, but just know it does not bode well for the death camp in Montgomery. Keep praying and pressing on saints to the high call and prize in Jesus’ name!

Greeting Dear Friends,
It has been a little over a month since you guys came to Montgomery and showed them Heaven. What a time we had!  It was a joy to labor and meet all of you and to learn and be encouraged by your devotion to the Lord, your families, and your desire to end the murder of babies. Thank you so much for what you did for my city and for speaking up for those who can not speak for themselves.

 

With the recent Planned Parenthood protest, I invited everyone on my Facebook account to come and stand this morning. Today was abortion day and we had about 15 total this morning including two of my pastors and others from my home church.  For many, this was their first time out on this sidewalk. It was a terrible experience for them. I thank God they woke up early and made the drive and stood, spoke, and proclaimed the Word of God to the moms.

One of the deathscorts approached me and said, “You have some others with you today. Your normally by all alone.”

I replied, “No ma’am, I am never alone.”

Seeing those standing with me caught them by surprise. One deathscort wrote on Facebook wondering what was going on and why were we stepping up our game. I can only hope it is the bride of Christ just waking up!

Jesus taught that you will know a tree by the fruit it produces. The root of the Roe vs. Wade decision gave rise to the American holocaust currently savaging our nation. The evil fruit that has sprung from this corrupt tree has been devastating. The recent videos concerning Planned Parenthood unveil a level of depravity that is reminiscent of the atrocities committed in Nazi Germany.

For years, a small minority of people have been aware of these atrocities, yet have had little success in convincing the American public to reject abortion. With the advent of these undercover videos, however, the American public’s conscience is pricked and finally a sense of moral outrage is being expressed.

As deplorable as the selling of baby body parts is, it is only symptomatic of the greater evil that is abortion. We can treat the fruit of this bloody tree by calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood, but that is not enough to bring healing to our broken, wounded, and bloodstained nation.

America must not only defund Planned Parenthood, but we must repent of the massive slaughter perpetrated against our own defenseless children. It is this main atrocity (abortion) that gave rise to the merchants of death and their callous bartering of baby body parts.

Yes, abortion is the evil root that produced the depraved fruit of the body parts scandal. Therefore our mission is clear. It is time to defund Planned Parenthood, shut down all death camps, and outlaw abortion if America is to recover from this national infamy, bloodshed, and disgrace.

Alabama Senator Introduces Bill to End Abortion

Earlier this year, Personhood Alabama began presenting our legislators with a bill that would ban abortions in our state.  We received several promises of support, but none of our legislators were willing to actually introduce the bill that we gave them.  Then, God brought the legislature into an unplanned special session which began the very same week that Operation Save America held their national event in Montgomery.  This divinely orchestrated coincidence gave us the opportunity to send throngs of our nation’s most dedicated pro-life activists into the offices of our legislators all armed with copies of our bill to end abortion.  Now, one of those legislators, Senator Gerald Dial, has chosen to introduce our bill during the special session as .

is an amendment to Alabama’s fetal homicide law which removes that law’s exception for abortions.  According to current Alabama law, the term “person” “when referring to the victim of a criminal homicide or assault, means a human being, including an unborn child in utero at any stage of development, regardless of viability.”  This means that Alabama recognizes the prenatal child as a legal person with all of the rights inherent in that classification including the right of equal protection.  However, this same law contains a paragraph which states that “Nothing in Article 1 or Article 2 shall permit the prosecution of any person for conduct relating to an abortion.” And it also contains an additional paragraph stating that “Nothing in this section shall make it a crime to perform or obtain an abortion that is otherwise legal.” would repeal these two paragraphs thereby classifying all abortions in the state of Alabama as murder.

THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

 

“Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are dinged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him (Isaiah 51:1, 2).”

 

When it comes to celebrating this most American of holidays, it is interesting to note that our Founding Fathers didn’t consider the 4th of July a holiday. No, to them this day represented far more than just another festival to acknowledge in the myriad of special days Americans honor. According to John Adams, the second President of the USA, the 4th of July, “Ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.” Surprisingly, John Adams believed Independence Day was to be a Holy Day to be spent in Thanksgiving to the Almighty for His mighty deliverance that He wrought on the behalf of our fledgling nation.

 

His son, John Quincy Adams, our 6th President, declared, “Why is that, next to the birthday of the Savior of the world, your most joyous and most venerated festival returns on this day (July 4th). Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? That it forms a leading event in the Progress of the Gospel dispensation? Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer’s mission upon Earth? That it laid the cornerstone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity…”

 

According to Mr. Adams, it took the spread of Christianity 1,800 years to finally culminate in the establishing of America. He believed the highest glory of the Revolution permanently linked the principles of Christianity with the principles of civil government. He viewed the Declaration as the first social compact and governing document in the history of man to establish its foundation on the mission of Jesus Christ in the earth. Obviously, America is dreadfully void of that perspective today.

 

Yes, there is much evidence that points to the fact that America is a unique nation amongst the nations of the earth. It is evident that the land itself was preserved for a special purpose in God’s Providence. Although America was prime “real estate” in the earth and filled with natural resources, it remained virtually untapped for thousands of years. You do not see the pyramids of Egypt, the glory of Rome, nor the grandeur of Greece upon these shores. Why is it that there was no great civilization established here until a persecuted people longing to be free to worship the God of Heaven in Spirit and in truth came to these shores? If you can answer that question then you are on the road to understand the vision for America and her destiny that stands in peril today.

 

Another unique mark upon this nation that is exclusively American is the fact that we are the only nation on earth that was founded on a creed. All the other nations on earth were essentially established upon ethnicity, nationality, or race. Not so with America. Regardless of skin color or any other physical attribute that distinguishes human beings, what makes an American an American is a creed. A creed that is articulated in a document we call The Declaration of Independence.

 

Before we explore some vital points of that creed, we need to understand, whereas the Constitution is the letter of the law, (that has been twisted, bent, and perverted through judicial activism to subject Americans to legalized evil today) the Declaration is the Spirit of the Law. The Declaration supplies the premises, the presuppositions, and the underlying principles that we have forgotten to the Constitution’s harm. You will see this clearly as we examine a few of those foundational principles contained within the Declaration that was to be the heart, soul, and source to establish and sustain our Christian Republic called America.

 

On July 4th, 1776, the delegates of the Continental Congress voted to ratify the Declaration which began with these profound words, “When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature God entitles them…”

 

It is extremely important to understand and it cannot be emphasized enough that our Founding Fathers cited the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God as the sole basis for breaking ties with England and to become a separate nation in the earth. To comprehend the magnitude of that particular phrase utilized by Thomas Jefferson, one must look to Sir William Blackstone who was the first one to coin the phrase.

 

Sir William Blackstone was a renowned English jurist who wrote the highly influential work called, “Commentaries on the Laws of England ” He was one the most quoted sources, besides the Bible, John Locke, and Baron de Montesquieu, which our Founding Fathers cited as the basis for law in America.

Blackstone defined the laws of nature and of nature’s God as:

Man, considered as a creature, must necessarily be subject to the laws of his Creator, for he is entirely a dependent being… And, consequently, as man depends absolutely upon his Maker for everything, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his Maker’s will… this will of his Maker is called the law of nature. These laws laid down by God are the eternal immutable laws of good and evil. This law of nature dictated by God Himself; is of course superior in obligation to any other. It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times: no human laws are of any validity if contrary to this… The doctrines thus delivered we call the revealed or divine law, and they are to be found in the Holy Scriptures… {and} are found upon comparison to be really part of the original law of nature. Upon these two foundations, the law of nature and the law of revelation (Thomas Jefferson penned of nature’s God as a substitute for the law of revelation) depend all human laws; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these.

 

According to Blackstone who was the inspiration behind the laws of nature and of nature’s God statement, the creation itself testifies and teaches man that there is a Supreme Being that created the universe. The immutable laws contained within nature reveal a Creator that man is to be subject to by virtue of being a dependent creature. Apparently, Blackstone was a jurist who studied the only sure basis for law, which is Holy Writ.  Both Romans 1:20 and Psalms 19:1-3 verify his writings.

 

According to Blackstone, even though man has reasoning capabilities, it has been made corrupt by sin. The Lord did not leave revelation to chance however. No, He made a direct appeal to mankind through what Blackstone called the “law of revelation,” in which the Declaration interprets “of nature’s God.” The Ten Commandments, God’s moral Law, was God’s way of appealing to man objectively to confirm within man what he instinctively knows to be true on the inside. Yet, due to man’s fallen nature, we inevitably suppress the truth and exchange it for a lie. Undeterred, in God’s great mercy, He sent the second person of the Godhead, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the most perfect revelation and we are therefore without excuse.

 

The Bible teaches that Jesus is the expressed image of God (Hebrews 1:3). He was the Word (God’s direct revelation to man) made flesh and dwelt amongst us. Jesus stated, “If you’ve seen me, you have seen the Father (John 14:9).” In other words, Jesus was the visible manifestation of the invisible God. According to Blackstone, unless laws was based upon these truths, they were not laws at all and “no human law should be suffered to contradict these.”

 

Our next stop along the way as we explore the Declaration is, “We hold these truths to be self-evident.” Can you believe in this moral relativistic age in which we live, that our Founding Fathers actually had the audacity to believe in a concept called truth? Now truth by its very nature lends itself completely to the notion that there are moral absolutes. Obviously, our Founding Fathers would be laughed to scorn today, if they brought that archaic view to our “enlightened” humanistic public schools.

 

We don’t teach children that there is such a thing as self-evident truth, moral absolutes, and a definite right and a definite wrong. No, we teach kids to decide for themselves what is right or wrong with no standard except what their own unregenerated hearts crave. As a result, millions of American children are left to construct their own “truth” and values apart from the God of the Bible. Can there be any doubt that this mentality has opened the proverbial Pandora’s Box that is savaging our young today? School shootings, violence, sexual immorality, molestation, and drug abuse are a direct result of our nation rejecting the time honored wisdom of our Founding Fathers.

 

Yes, our Founding Fathers believed in self-evident truth that was not based upon the subjective experience of fallen man, but on God’s objective truth that is transcendent and authoritative over man. Yes, they believed in truth because they longed for freedom. They knew Biblically, you can’t have freedom without truth. Where would they obtain such a notion? John 8:31, 32 records, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Keep in mind, freedom to them was not the ability to do whatever we want, but the power to do as we ought. Self-government was the key to liberty. America would do well to remember from whence she came and what those who birthed her actually believed.

 

The next important phrase contained in the Declaration goes like this, “That all men are created equal; and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.” Notice it doesn’t say that man evolved into equality and by virtue of evolution have secured unalienable rights. Why is it our Founding Fathers believed in creationism, and yet, we can’t teach this history to our children?

 

Ideas have consequences, my friend. Evolution has been the intellectual underpinnings of every atheistic, totalitarian government that has committed unspeakable atrocities against the very people they claimed to serve. Communism, Nazism, and Fascism are just a few of the regimes that rejected the concept of Creator. They opted for an evolutionary worldview instead, which justified their many atrocities. Their bloody history aptly displays the bitter fruit of an atheistic state that utilizes evolution to rationalize oppression. After all, evolution teaches that the strong survive. So, it must be ethical to exploit, abuse, and destroy the weak to get what we lust for in life, right? No, a thousand times no!

 

We see this mentality so clearly manifest with the struggle over abortion. Fallen men at times use and abuse women by virtue of their superior strength. In like manner, feministic women demand to be empowered as well. Roe v Wade decriminalized child sacrifice, which allowed women to use their superior strength against their own helpless children. God help us! Christianity, on the other hand, teaches that the strong are to help the weak. We are never permitted by God to exploit them. This Biblical concept is one of the reasons that made America great. How many times has America invested our blood, treasure, and toil to aid weaker nations that were subjugated to tyranny by stronger nations?

 

What has happened to America since we have officially rejected our Creator that our Founding Fathers looked to as the basis of establishing America as an independent nation amongst the nations of the earth? We are becoming what we fought against in World War Two. As I write, America seems hell bent on using our superior strength, political clout, and finances to spew the filth of Hollywood, abortion, the feminist doctrine, and the homosexual agenda throughout the globe. Is it any wonder why Islam calls America the “Great Satan” and seeks our destruction?

 

The Declaration proceeds with these words, “That among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (not a guarantee of happiness that the “government as Savior” programs promise). That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Our Founding Fathers believed that man’s rights came from God, the Creator, and that civil government was established to protect those rights. This is the clear teaching of Romans 13:1 which states, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”

 

Historically, Americans believed that we were “One Nation under God.” In fact, our national motto is “In God We Trust.”  It was not one nation under many gods, but the one, true and living God, the God of the Bible, the triune God of Holy Scripture, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. When mankind rejects this Biblical truth of God’s sovereignty, however, man has only two failed options available.  First, the state is sovereign and the ultimate authority, which historically has led to the murderous regimes, previously mentioned that has crushed the freedoms, lives, and property of many.  In fact, the 20th century alone, has witnessed hundreds of millions of innocent people massacred by this monstrous lie.  The second option is man as an individual is sovereign, which inevitably leads to anarchy, chaos, and confusion.  Only One Nation under God can secure the delicate tension between the social order on the one hand and individual freedom on the other.  All else is sinking sand and cisterns that can’t hold water.

 

Indeed, God is the supreme authority and civil government is a delegated authority established for His pleasure and for our benefit. The Declaration then warns civil government, ‘that, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government.” This particular phrase is why we are crying out for a “Gentle Revolution.” Either America experiences a spiritual, godly, and moral revolution that lands us squarely back upon the “Rock” from which we were hewed, or I shudder to think of what may befall us.

 

Finally, our Founding Fathers make their appeal, “to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions… With a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

 

In the Declaration, the God of the Bible is acknowledged as Law-giver, the source of Law, Creator, the Source of life, the Supreme Judge, the highest authority, and the Protector of America’s rights. Without this revelation beating in the heart of every true American, then all the 4th of July represents is eating, drinking, and watching fireworks. I pray that each of you that read this article will consider these historical truths and their implications.  They represent the righteous foundations upon which America once stood. We must awaken and recognize that these foundational truths are beginning to crumble as we abandon God, our righteous heritage and the principles that made us great. Our history is being deleted or rewritten to further the “foes of our own American household’s” agenda. We must therefore, look to the Rock that hewed us and the Patriarchs that bore us before it is too late. GOD SAVE AMERICA AND NO KING, BUT KING JESUS!

 

Three Days of Prophetic Prayer and Fasting:

July 6th– 8th, 2015

 

Operation Save America is gearing up for our next great adventure in serving the Lord. From July 11th-18th saints from across America, coupled with the local church in Montgomery, Alabama will participate in Operation Save America’s national event, Let Justice Roll. The theme is based on Amos 5:24, which states, “But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” (NASB).

 

To help prepare the way of the Lord as we set our face like flint towards Montgomery, we are consecrating three days for prayer and fasting. This call is sent out to those who are coming to Montgomery and to those who cannot make it, but are with us in spirit. This special time, set apart, is extremely important as we seek to advance the Gospel of the Kingdom against the gates of hell. We must obtain God’s blessing, favor, and an open heaven to achieve kingdom success.

 

The book of Acts reveals that before the Holy Spirit came in power, the people of God were in one accord. We know from scripture and from experience that when God’s people get lost in the vision and mission of God, unity commands a blessing and that blessing is “life forevermore” (Psalms 133). Unity is not a root obtained by pursuing it, but a fruit, a gift, that God grants His people who obey Him.

 

We also are well aware that the church cannot win this battle in the arm of the flesh. It is the anointing that destroys the yoke. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6). The same Holy Spirit that empowered the early church to face and overcome the evil of their day, is the same Holy Spirit we need to do the same in our day. The Apostle Paul declared, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God” (1 Corinthians 2:4, 5). If the Apostle Paul needed this empowerment to be effectual, how much more do we?

Moreover, we need to employ every spiritual weapon and godly principle God has granted His people to be effectual in His service. Most of you know that when we “take it to the streets,” we incorporate the high praises of God, the intimate worship of God, prayers, intercessions, travail, and the blessed proclamation of the Gospel of the Kingdom. As we do these things, we trust that God will watch over His Word to perform it, with mighty signs and wonders following (Jeremiah 1:12; Mark 16:20).

 

To add to this arsenal, it is vital to include the prayer of agreement. “Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20).

To help fulfill this admonishment from our Lord, we have put together a prayer guide based upon the book of Psalms. Historically, the book of Psalms has served as the hymnal and prayer guide of the church. It covers the gamut of human endeavors, human emotion, and human predicaments as it relates to God and His will on the earth. It ranges from high exaltation of praise to deep sorrow to cries of justice against God’s enemies to celebration of great victories.

 Practically, there are 150 Psalms that we will divide into three days; 50 Psalms each day. We will take one or two key verses from each of the Psalms and use them to guide and inspire our prayers. 1 John reminds us of the importance of praying God’s Word. 1 John 5:14, 15 states, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” Just know, you are not limited by these scriptural references, but I would encourage you to use the book of Psalms as your guide during this appointed time of prayer and fasting.

 

Another key point as you begin this journey, one aspect of true intercession means “to take the place of.” God’s Word admonishes us to be a voice for the voiceless (Proverbs 31:8, 9). This we intend to do on the streets of Alabama. This time of prayer and fasting, however, will also be utilized to be the voice of the preborn. The preborn cannot pray for their plight, but we can. This kind of intercession will prayerfully prepare the way to intervene and save their lives. Some of the Psalms chosen capture the cry of the oppressed who desperately need God’s intervention. Use these Scriptures to provide the cry on the behalf of the preborn. In other words, if you were in their predicament, how would you pray?

 

Initially, the plan was to copy and paste the Scriptures to provide easy access to pray. The plan changed. It would be more beneficial, if we took the time to look up these Scriptures, meditate upon them, and then incorporate them into prayer. We pray the Lord grant the grace and time needed to fulfill these three days of consecrated prayer and fasting. May we also see the results of this special time manifested throughout Alabama as we go to stand in the gap and make up the hedge in Jesus’ name!
