Dave Lackey Went Home with Jesus

Our dear brother David Lackey, died at approximately 1:40 PM (CST) this Holy Saturday, March 30, 2013. He was at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dave died in his sleep, he had a fever but no pain. Thank God.
We are rejoicing in the Lord that there is a Resurrection!  Please pray for Dave’s wife Denise, his son Brad, and his two daughters Tara and Amanda. Thank you Jesus that the grave does not have the last word!
His wishes were to be cremated, so they will be able to wait a few days before the memorial service. This will give people from other states time to make plans to come.  As soon as we know the details we will let you know. Please send me pictures for a memorial DVD that Colbi is producing. Also please send any comments or short stories (Colten will put something together to read at the service). Thank you!  
Earlier today Rusty was with Dave and had great prayer time with him. Rusty felt like Dave could hear him. He could tell Dave had trouble breathing. The doctors were managing his pain. Rusty shared with Dave how Flip, Dayle Sochia and Bill Shanks got to witness to a post-abortive mom in New Orleans this morning and they prayed with her to give her heart to Christ. They knew Dave would be happy to hear that and it would lift him up.    
Rusty read the OSA reading for today to Dave (John 18-19). He stopped at certain places and everyone that was listening was in tears. Today was preparation day.
Rusty even got to witness to a Jewish couple there. The man had prostate cancer and Dave had ministered to him earlier last week. Rusty prayed with them and suddenly the light went on. His wife was a little concerned and said “but we’re Jewish”. Rusty said “So was Jesus.”  PTL! What a memorable day this was!

We see the hope of the Resurrection in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 “And now, brothers and sisters, I want you to know what will happen to the Christians who have died so you will not be full of sorrow like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus comes, God will bring back with Jesus all the Christians who have died. I can tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in their graves. For the Lord himself will come down from Heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with Him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with these words.”

Another Abortion Mill Under Health Department Scrutiny!

Abortion Mill in Huntsville, Alabama, is being exposed for it filthy conditions and unlicensed personnel.  It is absolutely amazing that these great “gates of hell” have escaped even superficial inspection by the Alabama State Health Department over the years – but, No More!  Praise the living God! ~ Flip

Dave Lackey in Hospital – Please Pray

I just spoke with Dave this morning (8:00 AM. Our time, 7:00 AM. His time) Monday, February 11, 2013.  He is doing well.  The swelling is going down.  He says he feels great and already this morning he has been sharing the Gospel of Christ with everyone God gives him to speak to.  He has made known to all of the nurses that there will be, “No more shots given!”

I was greatly encouraged that the sunshine that is always so brightly manifest in his demented little personality has returned full strength.  Talking to him this morning was an absolute joy. It was like pulling the curtains back and experiencing the sunshine of God’s love flood over both of us as we chatted.

He is hoping to be out of the hospital today, but is not at all sure that this will happen.

Please keep him in your prayers.  We will keep you updated.

David Lackey

 Chet, Johnny, Ron Brock, and I, stopped on our way back from Jackson, Mississippi, at a little place named Birmingham, Alabama.  We were there to see our great friend in Jesus – David Lackey.  Dave, for whatever reason (he has a lot of them if anyone cared to listen), believes Alabama is heaven on earth.  We arrived a day after he got out of the car (his) in front of his house and watched it roll down the hill and smash into his neighbor’s garage door.  Awesome.  He actually ran after it, but what would he have done if he caught up with it.

I wonder if his neighbors believe it is heaven on earth to live next to Dave Lackey?  As you all know by now, Dave has been really struggling with this tumor in his brain.  There are no more operations left for him.  He has had four successful operations over the past 12 or 13 years, but the doctors will not do another one.  Too dangerous.

Chet took some pictures of all of us with Dave and then put together his very first “vimeo.” (HERE’s the video)  As you will see, he has done remarkably well presenting our brother Dave for who he really is.  Dave Lackey is a friend of Jesus before he is anything else.  Perhaps this is what makes him such a great friend to each one of us.     ~ Flip

Abortions Fade in the South!

Even the secular media is accepting the fact that abortion is rapidly coming to an end.  “States of Refuge” is simply one more means God is using to push this horrible evil into its grave.  This story, though not at all favorable to those who lift up the Gospel of Christ at abortion mills, is just one more evidence that abortion in America is coming to an end.  Lord hasten the day.  ~ Flip

Birmingham Abortion Mill to Close Its Doors!

“New Women All Women’s Health Care,” one of the most monstrous abortion mills in Birmingham, Alabama, is being shut down by the Birmingham Department of Public Health.  This has been the site of thousands of murdered baby boys and girls.  It has also been the sight of numerous rescues, intercessions, interventions, prayers, proclamations, sidewalk counseling, and God’s Church living out the theology of heaven at the gates of hell.  The promise we have stood upon throughout the years is that the gates of hell cannot prevail against God’s prevailing church.  We were right!

What a wonderful gift the saints in Birmingham have given to their Heavenly Father.  As Jesus laid down His life that we might live, on this day of  the remembrance of His crucifixion and death.  Let April 6, 2012, remind us all of the sacrifices made by the saints in Birmingham to bring this wonderful miracle about.  They laid their lives down (daily) year after painstaking year that others might live.  Let us do the same!

“In the same way, let you light so shine before men that they may see your good deeds and give praise to your Father in Heaven.”  Matthew 5:16.

Note:  The owner of this mill (Diane Derzis) is also the owner of the last remaining abortion mill in Jackson, Mississippi, where we just completed four days of Word and Warfare (reading through the entire Scripture at the gates of hell).  It was in Jackson that Diane Derzis received some more really bad news on Wednesday, April 5, 2012, when the Mississippi State legislature voted to require all physicians who are killing children in Mississippi to have privileges to practice medicine at a hospital in Jackson.  This will put an end to all the doctors Diane Derzis has practicing child-killing in Mississippi.  None of them have privileges in local hospitals.  “Hmmmmmmm.”

Professional staff of the Bureau of Health Provider Standards, Alabama Department of Public Health, have performed a comprehensive investigation of New Woman All Women Health Care in Birmingham in response to a complaint received in January 2012.

This investigation revealed significant failures in maintaining compliance with the Rules of the Alabama State Board of Health for the safe and effective provision of care.
