Adam Tennant has written a tremendous piece that paints a vivid picture of what the “world” thinks of us, who live out the Gospel of Christ in the streets of our cities and expose the unfruitful deeds of darkness, and what many in the church think of us as well.  In this article you will see a short three minute video of Stephen Furtick doing his own little rant on “haters.”  Furtick is the pastor of Elevation Church, and Emergent fast growing church with four different campuses in the Charlotte area.  He can preach some good messages but he is completely “jimmy-jacked” when it comes to shining the light of the Gospel on sin.  Stephen Furtick is the real “hater.”

“Do not hate your brother in your heart.  Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in his guilt.”  Leviticus 19:17.

This just in from Marilyn Carroll.  She is right! ~ Flip

Letter to the editor by Marilyn Carroll

Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter about the article by F. Ordonez and C. Ridenhour that Pastor Flip Benham was found guilty of stalking! The verdict and mentality of this judicial system coincides with the Casey Anthony verdict. A lying, scheming young mother is judged “not guilty” after covering up the murder of her two year old child and a pro-life pastor that saves babies from abortion is judged “guilty” of stalking an abortion doctor he never even met. Wow! What kind of a world do we live in?

Does the court know anything about First Amendment freedom of speech, freedom to distribute literature and to freedom to assemble? Remember, this is America. These same people who are so “tolerant” of terrorists who killed over 3,000 Americans in the “9-11” attack, and so tolerant of so called “doctors” that rip little babies apart limb by limb. Then they call peaceful pro-life activists that never hurt anyone “stalking and terrorizing” abortion providers!  America needs to repent.

There supposedly wasn’t enough evidence to convict Casey Anthony of any degree of murder but there is enough “evidence” to convict a peaceful pastor of stalking a doctor he never even met. Maybe the reason the abortionist is “afraid” is because he feels so guilty after killing all those children he has aborted? How can he sleep at night?

In God’s word He tells us to “Take no part in the worthless pleasures of evil and darkness, but instead, rebuke, and expose them.” Ephesians 5:11

I challenge anyone reading this to go to YouTube and watch an abortion video and then tell me who the “terrorists” really are: the pro-life Christian trying to save lives or the abortionist who kills innocent baby girls and baby boys?

Angela Michael hits the nail on the head in this article.  She ends this article with a very important verse of Scripture that we read in our 2011 Bible Reading Schedule this last week. ~ Flip

Children are Disposable…

Inside and Outside of the Womb

Unbelievable! Stunned! Casey Anthony found Not Guilty in the premeditated murder of her toddler

by Angela Michael

The Casey Anthony’s of our world do this everyday inside abortion mills…are they any less guilty than she? This is the way society feels about children, born or unborn. If a woman can decide her child’s fate in the womb, she has full legal protection to decide it out of the womb, as the Casey Anthony trial has proven. The prosecution did an excellent job during the trial, and closing arguments were riveting. When the public was polled on her fate, most, if not all, responded guilty, and yet a group of her peers decided in ten hours that she did nothing wrong except tell some lies and was less than truthful to investigators.. Not even aggravated child abuse was she found guilty of. This just proves what we, the Church of Jesus Christ, have been witnessing and saying; we are a savage nation; we have been sowing bloodshed in the womb and reaping it in the streets. So, why wouldn’t a jury find her guilty of murdering her child when throughout the trial so much evidence said differently; i.e.. the smell of a dead body in the car as reported by her own mother to police; Caylee was missing for over 30 days while her mother Casey was documented partying and getting tattoos celebrating her beautiful life and freedom; her narcissistic attitude; chloroform searches on the computer while her mother was at work; lie after lie; and no accountability. Caylee was an inconvenience just like most babies scheduled to die at the local abortion facilities, they are unwanted. This is how society and their parent view them. Abortion is so acceptable why would manslaughter be any less?

Today, there is no justice for children, inside or outside of the womb. There was no justice for little Caylee Marie. Yes, our government and our nation has the biggest police forces and our courts have the best legal system, and yet they cannot protect or bring  justice to those weakest among us…children and babies. Our nation’s hands are so full of innocent blood that apathy and complacency has taken over and righteousness stands at a distance. There is no accountability for the murderers who walk among us. The only commandment this nation can seem to keep is “Don’t Judge,” but Jesus said in John 7:24, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” Understand, Caylee didn’t die a natural death, just like preborn babies at our abortion mills. She, like they, was murdered at the hands of the one most entrusted to her care and welfare, her mother. Outrage is pouring into the streets of Orlando, some saying, “we don’t want murderers walking our streets!” Good, maybe people will become so incensed that they will connect the dots between Abortion and Manslaughter. 2 Chronicles 19:6-7Consider carefully what you do because you are not judging for man but for the Lord, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God, there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.”

“A society is ultimately judged by how it treats its’ weakest and most vulnerable members”

If you think that what is happening in Charlotte to remove the Gospel of Christ from the gates of hell and shove it back into the closet is an anomaly, you are mistaken.  What is happening here will be happening all over our nation.  The city of Charlotte and the abortion industry are colluding to remove every last vestige of the Christian witness outside abortion mills.

New laws or the legislative broadening of existing laws is suffocating every last breath of American liberty from her lungs.  Like a python slowly constricting around its prey to kill it and then devour it, the unholy union between our city and the abortion industry is intent on ending all First Amendment freedoms of those who follow hard after Christ.  If you stay in the church – good.  Come out of the church – jail.

Since October 27, 2008, there have been 1053 babies saved from death because simple little Christians have been living out their faith every day at the three abortion mills in the city of Charlotte.  They are giving mothers a real choice.  Hundreds have given their hearts to Christ.  Many more have rededicated themselves to follow Jesus.  Abortionists have quit this grizzly business, choosing to use the wonderful gifts God has given them to bring life rather than death.  Many abortion mill employees have quit.  Some have given their hearts to Christ.  Yes, the Light of the Gospel is piercing the darkness of the abortion industry.  And it is as mad as hell is!

The gates of hell simply cannot prevail against the Church of Jesus Christ.

Mark and Lisa Metzger, home school parents of nine children, have been lifting up the Gospel of Christ with us at the gates of hell here in the city of Charlotte for the past year and a half.  They have presented a brilliant witness of Christ’s love for mothers in crisis pregnancy situations, and many have chosen life as a result of their efforts.

Lisa wrote an article on the “Stalking” charge levied against me this past week.  God has given Lisa a gift to write and write well.  Here is a charge I left with her:

“There is, in case you haven’t noticed, a concerted and systematic effort by our government to remove the Gospel of Christ from the streets of America.  Please keep researching and let’s see if we cannot begin to paint a true and “living parable” of what is happening to the Christian witness at the gates of hell!  What is happening here in Charlotte is a proto-type of what the enemies of Christ would like to do all over the country.”

* Flip Benham has been forbade to publish the name of the abortionist who brought this lawsuit against him.  In this article the abortionist is referred to as “Abortionist ____”.

The American Heritage Dictionary: Stalking – v. To follow or observe a person persistently, especially out of obsession or derangement.

When most people imagine an occurrence of stalking, they imagine one individual aggressively pursuing another; a perpetrator and a victim; one whose obsession propelled him to eerily observe, pursue and harass his victim with the intention of capturing or overtaking him.  However, when a target has already been placed on your chest because you choose to be a vocal spokesman of God, stalking is determined to be any action that causes another person to feel vaguely threatened or fearful.

Rev. Flip Benham was found guilty in November 2010 of stalking and disturbing the tranquility of Abortionist _____, simply due to the fact that he distributed a flier that called others to pray for the salvation of two of Charlotte’s abortionists, Drs. ____ and Harris.  This blanketing of fliers around the abortion clinics and doctors’ homes consequently exposed the darkness of their careers as hired killers.  In urging these abortionists to find salvation in Jesus, ridiculous charges of stalking were filed with the intent of silencing Flip while artfully mocking the God he serves.

The appeal of November’s verdict was heard in the Mecklenburg County Superior court this past week.  Many motions were made by both the defense and the prosecution.  The judge heard both sides, and initially ruled somewhat favorably for the defense. The primary victory on day one was when the judge wholly dismissed the charge of “disturbing the tranquility”. A brand new law adopted in December, 2009, to remove the Gospel witness from “health clinics” in North Carolina.

Despite that bogus charge being lifted by the judge, he was unyielding in refusing to allow the defense to admit certain items into evidence that would have substantiated Flip’s commitment to peaceful and Biblical proclamation of truth.

The first item that the defense team was not allowed to admit into evidence was the poster of Baby Collin.  This precious and smiling black baby boy was saved from an abortion mill in Charlotte where Abortionist _____ kills babies.  This same child was ironically delivered by Abortionist _____, who happened to be the obstetrician on call the night that Colin was born.  The very doctor, who easily could have been the abortionist scheduled to take the life of this precious boy, was the doctor who was present when Colin drew his first breath!

The second inadmissible item was a brochure called, Why We Don’t Shoot Abortionists and Blow up Abortion Mills. This was a brochure written by Flip in 1993 to dispel national media headlines that grouped all pro-lifers with a handful of individuals who committed acts of violence against abortion providers.  The judge deemed these two potentially exonerating pieces of evidence as being likely to “prejudice the jury.” The irony, however, is that the judge allowed the State to admit into evidence a “wanted poster”, also from 1993, that had absolutely no connection to Flip whatsoever.

During the trial, Abortionist _____ and his wife were called by the prosecution to testify about the fear they felt as these fliers made their way around their neighborhood and Abortionist _____ ‘s place of business.  As feelings of emotional duress were shrouded behind tears, and as the drama of the events was magnified, those who were present in support of Flip could clearly see that the testimony did not align with the evidence presented in his defense.

First, Abortionist _____ was supposedly so afraid for his life and the life of his family, yet he chose to keep all client appointments at the clinic before calling for help.  In his supposed fear, he chose not to call emergency responders.  Instead, he chose to call Detective Harris of the Domestic Terrorism Division Of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department – his comrade in silencing free speech.

Second, the distribution of fliers was a collaborative effort of numerous other pro-lifers, yet only one man was charged – the man so often at the forefront of these battles between the darkness of abortion and the light of Jesus.  This was assuredly a case of selective prosecution, in order to increase their chances for a conviction of a primary front line pro-lifer, which would set precedence for future lawsuits against pro-lifers who stand as the voice of these defenseless little ones.

Third, there are two abortionists pictured on the Gospel flier in question – Abortionist _____ and Dr. Harris.  Each time that the defense mentioned the second abortionist, the prosecution would repeatedly object to the mention of his name.  Why?  Because Dr. Harris had no reason to fear Flip and therefore did not file stalking charges against him.  Both of these abortionists were pictured on the flier; both of these abortionists had their office blanketed with fliers; both of these abortionists’ neighborhoods were alerted of their bloody occupations, yet only one of these men accused Flip of stalking.

The truth is that Abortionist _____ was intent on having Flip Benham convicted of a crime, with the expectation that other saints of God would be fearful of prosecution and would keep silent, therefore permanently removing the Gospel presence from the streets of this city.  Permanent silence outside of all Charlotte area abortion mills was Abortionist _____’s sole motivation.

Those who have come to love and respect Flip Benham will easily be able to visualize him taking the stand as a defendant in a court trial.  During his time on the stand, Rev. Benham was able to share the gospel succinctly and without reservation in the godless courtroom full of accusers.  Flip’s supporters, who were in attendance, readily confirmed that God’s Truth and Hope was thoughtfully woven into even the simple ‘yes’ and ‘no’ answers.  His heart for the lost, including Abortionist _____, was evident for all to see.   Through Flip’s unashamed testimony, the Gospel was preached, abortion was called murder and the peaceful presence of those that offer help and hope in front of abortion mills was described for judge and jury to hear.

After the closing arguments were complete, the jury deliberated and Reverend Flip Benham was found guilty of stalking.  The defense is appealing this contemptuous verdict to the appellate court, on Flip’s behalf.  Upon the filing of the appeal, all sentencing was removed or postponed barring certain restrictions that were left in place.  While Flip is not allowed within 500 feet of two Charlotte area abortion mills, where Abortionist _____ kills, he is allowed to go to the mill on Latrobe Drive.  Since simple Christians have been going out to the abortion mills six days a week, Charlotte has witnessed 1,053 babies saved in the past two and a half years.  Certainly, these numbers have contributed to the anger, bitterness and hate that the local abortion providers and death supporters feel toward the Christians who proclaim the Truth on the sidewalks outside of these abortion mills.

Interestingly, Flip Benham is the first person to be prosecuted under North Carolina’s new definition of stalking.  Is this really just a mere coincidence?  God’s people wisely discern otherwise.

When broadening the confines of the former stalking law in North Carolina, it was stated that the expansion was to protect victims of stalking.  However, the extensive definition of this law is basically anti-hate speech rhetoric that can be used to prosecute anyone whose message contradicts godless lifestyles.  Unintended consequences – or was it intentional?

The statute states that the North Carolina General Assembly enacted a stalking statute that “permits the criminal justice system to hold stalkers accountable for a wide range of acts, communications, and conduct.” A stalker is defined specifically as, “A person [who] commits the offense of stalking if the person willfully on more than one occasion follows or is in the presence of, or otherwise harasses, another person without legal purpose and with the intent to do any of the following: (1) Place that person in reasonable fear either for the person’s safety or the safety of the person’s immediate family or close personal associates. (2) Cause that person to suffer substantial emotional distress by placing that person in fear of death, bodily injury, or continued harassment, and that in fact causes that person substantial emotional distress.”

Basically, an individual could be accused and convicted of stalking if their accuser is able to prove that they feared for their lives in some way, shape or form. In this law, subjective feelings can overrule what should be a clearly defined objective law.

“An objective law protects a country’s freedom; only a non-objective law can give a statist the chance he seeks: a chance to impose his arbitrary will—his policies, his decisions, his interpretations, his enforcement, his punishment or favor—on disarmed, defenseless victims. He does not have to exercise his power too frequently nor too openly; he merely has to have it and let his victims know that he has it; fear will do the rest.”

“Antitrust: The Rule of Unreason,” The Voice of Reason

The basis of a free society is for the common citizen to posses certain objective rights.  These inalienable rights that we hold as Americans should not be allowed to be overruled solely on the subjective feelings of an accuser.  Objective law allows for the protection of individual rights. Subjective law allows for an accuser’s feelings to convict another.

The entirety of the expansion of the North Carolina General Assembly’s law on stalking sets the stage for future prosecutions against other Gospel preachers or pro-lifers who bring heavenly fear into the hearts of those who seek to kill and destroy.  It is as if this law that was originally intended to protect true victims of stalking and abuse was transformed into a law to be used against anyone whose message speaks the truth about those who are wallowing in a sin.

The wisdom of this world has dictated that it is in the State’s best interest to prosecute gentle Christians under such a broad law, instead of zealously protecting their First Amendment rights to free speech.

Let us join together in praying that the falsified fear on which Abortionist _____ has based this erroneous stalking charge, be replaced by a genuine Biblical fear of God.  Let a new respect and awe for the Almighty God be the driving force behind the righteous vindication of Flip in his next appeal!

“The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.” – Psalm 19:9

Here is Angela Michael’s report on the infantile “goings on” of the homosexual community in St. Louis.  It is essential to note the pro-abortion presence in all of these pride events around the country.  What does homosexuality have to do with abortion?  Everything!

It is exactly the same world view.  That’s right!  “My rights, my body, my choice.  I do what I want, whenever I want.  I am the captain of my ship the master of my fate.  And my one commandment is, ‘Don’t judge me!’”

Sodomy is just a different colored glove covering the same fist.  It is the fist of the devil, who has come to rob, kill, and destroy.  These poor deceived folks, parading their sin like Sodom and extending their proud little middle fingers into the face of Almighty God, have no idea the devastation that comes to those who practice such behavior and nations that approve of it.

God help us! ~ Flip

St. Louis Pridefest 2011
“It’s Here, It’s Everywhere” – Diversity or Perversity?

Threatening skies soon cleared to hot, muggy sunshine in Tower Grove Park as the revelers’ numbers swelled during this two-day St. Louis Pridefest. An estimated 85,000 (give or take a thousand) attended this year’s event. The crowds did seem larger, more festive, and fuller with young children and teens. Saturday’s commitment ceremony packed participants in as gay rights were being unleashed in New York City with the legalization of gay marriage this past week. Many gay rights supporters were celebrating this decision by attending the St. Louis Pridefest for the first time.

Notably, there were more people for Sunday’s parade. We were squished along the parade route like sardines. Once the parade started, each entry as it passed by stopped to scream at spectators to show their support loudly. “It’s okay to come out!” It sounded more like they were recruiting as they paraded their sex-style. Yes, evidently that is what the Pridefest is about: Sex. Everything we viewed was sexually charged, even the entries’ taunts. The Barnes Jewish Healthcare marchers, “We’re here, we’re queer. Have you had your pap-smear?” The gay and lesbian police officers drew loud applause. Would I really trust a gay police officer trying to tackle a bad guy if they were attracted to them? Is it duty first? Or booty first? Things to ponder…

Participants along the parade route could be heard yelling, “It’s going to be legal everywhere soon,” which fits right into this year’s Pridefest theme: “It’s Here, It’s Everywhere.” More and more Black Americans were either viewing the parade or in the parade with young children. The youth group’s numbers were riveting. Young children, five, six, and seven years of age were marching with gay statements on their signs and shirts including,“Gay by God.” Do they understand? It was heartbreaking to see white lesbians or white aging gay men cradling adopted black babies. The Black American race is done; you might as well stick a fork in them. Between violence in the streets, violence in the womb (abortion), disease, and now the rapid rise in homosexuality, the black race is self destructing. They don’t stand a chance.

Some of the sponsors were Macy’s, Lumiere Place & River City casinos, ID Lubricant, Absolut Vodka, Malibu Rum, MasterCard, MetLife, Plaza Motors, and Wells Fargo to name a few. There was an increase of churches in the parade. It was nauseating to view the display of pastors dressed in their finery giving God’s approval of this debauchery, but this is why we have Pridefests breaking out across the nation. If there is anyone to point a finger at it is the American Church and the silence and inaction within them. Church groups included the Catholic Action Network for Social Justice (they also support abortion), the Trinity Episcopal Church, the Jewish Communities (Shalom!), the Second Presbyterian Church CWE, the Metropolitan Community Church, and Light of Love Fellowship, to name a few.

It wouldn’t be a Pridefest without the baby killers. NARAL, led by infamous Jeff Farris and Planned Parenthood (another adversary of ours), strutted their stuff waving the same rhetoric signs. Surprisingly, it was mostly Black Americans walking for this organization that was founded by a white racist and eugenicist, Margaret Sanger. She called Black Americans, “human weeds,” half human. Nothing made her foundation happier than the destruction of black babies, and here they are supporting the same organization that wants to see black babies dead. When it comes to abortion they tell us to mind our own business, and of course they expect you, the taxpayer, to keep paying for that business!

This parade was long and spaced too far apart. The sun was bearing down on us; it was hot. Yet what took our breath away were the topless lesbians. I think they were with a burlesques group, only they were walking after the float…topless for all to see. I surmise they did this for shock value because it did wake me up. It caused the mother to come out of me; I almost shouted for them to put some clothes on for goodness’ sake. They did this in front of thousands of little kids. However, I refrained and thought, “Look where you’re at.” Well, praise God, at least they were not “busty”.

The crowds were louder and more rowdy. The growing group once referred to as Militant Teen Gays and Lesbians now goes by their growing number. Last year they were 300; this year the Growing American Youth was 404 and they mouthed and yelled the number to spectators. It’s startling. One polished-looking male standing a few bodies beside me offered an alcohol soaked gummy worm, “They’re really good,” he smiled. I shook my head, “No.”“Sure?” he asked. “I’m sure,” and I kept my eyes straight ahead. The “Old Lesbians Organizing Change” entry drove by, sadly. They ridiculed Catholic nuns with their rendition of white-faced “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.” Another float with gay men dressed in army fatigues and sailor uniforms mimicking the armed forces yelled at the spectators, “We’re winning, we’re infiltrating!”

All children love ice cream and gravitate to the familiar ring of the truck’s bells during summer. It was shameful to see greased up near naked men hanging off an ice cream truck asking the crowds if they, “want to lick their cone?” Pedophilia anyone? On back of the truck hung a sign: “We Stop for Children.” “I bet you do,” I thought.

The parade finally ended, and we headed into the entrance of the park. The grounds were still muddy and saturated from the late night storms that came through. The big stage was at the end of the park where the entertainment and drag queen reviews would be held. Once inside the park where the booths and vendors are located, we were bombarded with offers of free porn. “All you want,” one male offered me along the walking track. “Fasting,” I mumbled back and continued on the chasms of gay pride memorabilia, Pridefest gear, and the usual sign-up sheets for gay rights equality. As we passed each booth through the throngs of bodies, the vulgarities were flying freely. Just God-less. Homosexuals have become their own god. The private school information caught my attention. Gays now have the choice to send their children to an academy school taught by homosexuals from grades K-8th. Between the immorality and filth that the media is pumping into the family t.v sets and the indoctrination of our children by the school system and Planned Parenthood, is it any wonder why we are dealing with so much rebellion from the youth? Satan is stealing our kids and our families; the very moral fabric of our nation is in jeopardy. This debacle is just another form of rebellion, and it’s flying in God’s face.

What was missing from this event was the city’s mayor, the honorable Francis Slay. In years’ past we have been fortunate to walk out into the parade and personally rebuke his presentation in this abomination. Now we have barricades. Maybe God kept him busy helping flood victims from St. Louis’s recent storms. And that’s a good thing.
What stayed with me was the fitting touch to this celebration. Towards the end of the parade, there was a new entry. I don’t know if others made the connection, probably not, but it was a black hearse full of rainbow colored balloons. “How appropriate,” I mused. Sin leads you to an eternal death. “All those who hate God love death.” Proverbs 8:36. Furthermore, I thought about Ryan. He probably would be here celebrating, but it’s too late for him now.“The wages of sin is death.” I pray for others to wake up before it’s too late.

Another report from the Saints in Granite City who continue to allow the theology of the church house to become biography in their streets and at the gates of hell.  Police departments nation-wide continue to strain a gnat and swallow a camel; ticketing every Christian pro-life sidewalk counselor who speaks for life while allowing others the freedom to dismember precious preborn babies. ~ Flip
