Pat McEwen, Jay Rogers, and Cheryl Bischoff – Free!

Three brave soldiers of the cross of Christ dared to proclaim the Gospel of Christ in a neighborhood where a known murderer of God’s precious preborn children lives.  They brought the Gospel of Christ to the streets and the local SWAT Team removed them from the streets.  They were arrested for carrying and reading from a Bible, carrying a video recorder, and carrying a sign that said “Celebrate Life!”  This was all done on a public sidewalk.  They were all released from jail.  Here is Jay’s report.

My friend of 20 years, Pat McEwen, was simply standing on a sidewalk and reading her Bible. I was taking video of a pro-life march. Cheryl Bischoff was celebrating LIFE in front of the home of a Planned Parenthood executive on Aloma Ave in Winter Park, Florida — a four lane highway in an upper class section of Orlando. 

Apparently, the city SWAT Team decided we were violating a “no picketing” ordinance.

Yes, they called the Winter Park SWAT team on us. The regular police were not good enough.

Actually, they were really nice guys. One of them described his training with machine guns to us later as we were being booked.

When we got to the police station in Winter Park, they were trying to find a copy of the ordinance that they arrested us for. The Winter Park SWAT Team had a big discussion about what to call our crime. Finally, they decided on “Picketing in a Prohibited Area.”

I was hoping for “Conspiracy to Commit Loitering.” But they didn’t take my advice.

I also got to preach to about a dozen jail workers. I had to give my religious preference when I checked in. 

I asked: “What have you got?”

I looked at the list and I picked “evangelical” — I explained what it meant. I said it means that you believe

 that “You must be born-again.”

Very soon, I had about seven of the processors gathered around me wanting to know why I’d go to an abortionist’s home and get arrested. We talked about the murder case in Tampa.  It’s fascinating. It turns out that federal law says that killing an unborn first trimester child is murder.

We also talked about God’s Law, being “born-again,” and the whether the death penalty is biblical. Not necessarily in that order.

My bunkmate (for all of three hours) was a 43-year-old crystal meth dealer who I tried to “sympathize” with. When I bonded out, he felt he had to give me his cell phone number. I have no idea why. This guy really needs God to do a miracle in his life.

On my release, the processor asked me to repeat my name, DOB, and reason for arrest.

I said, “John Rogers, 6/24/62, Standing for Jesus on a sidewalk.”

The woman asked me to repeat that and smiled.

The jail officer asked me if I was insulting the woman at the desk.

I said, “No, just the opposite. I am glorifying God.”

He said: “What if she doesn’t believe in God?”

Me: “Oh … well, He does exist!”

Jail worker: “How do you know? Have you seen him? Have you touched him?”

Me: “Yes! I know His presence!”

Jail worker: “Oh really?”

Me: “If you could feel the presence of God right now, would you believe in Jesus?”

Jail worker: “Don’t preach! You’re preaching to me!”

Me: “No, you asked me a question and I elaborated.”

Jail worker: “Don’t preach in here! You are preaching!”

Yes, that was my whole point. That’s why we were arrested. But I didn’t want to be arrested again on my way out. So I left it at that.

I later found out that we had the largest Awareness Campaign a few blocks east at Winter Park Memorial Hospital where abortionist Emil Felski is on staff. Later many of these humble saints of God came down to the Orange County Jail and picketed and prayed where we were being held for  few hours.
 
Wow! I wish I could have been there, but I had a subsequent engagement. Maybe next time? From what I hear the two combined events had 30 plus people. That would make it the largest ever Awareness Campaign in Orange county. We certainly know how to get a lot of bang out of our buck. Figuratively speaking of course.

Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn, 

I just got off the phone with Brother Flip Benham, who recently sent out the incredible report of the Lord’s victories against the abortion industry in Charlotte, NC. One note of correction, however, North Carolina may allow the abortion mill they shut down to reopen. The saints are working to see this does not take place. Please pray for them and this situation.

The 40th year of the infamous Roe vs. Wade decision has set in motion jaw dropping, divine interventions, which are defeating the culture of death. Flip asked me to write up an account of the prophetic journey that has proclaimed vision and mission throughout our nation, which has led to God watching over His Word to perform it. At his request, this following report gives this brief history. Enjoy!

The 40th Year Anniversary of Roe vs. Wade

It was in New Orleans, a few years ago, when the Spirit of the Lord birthed a word. I was getting ready to preach at New Covenant Fellowship with Pastor Bill Shanks. Before the service, the need to pray and prepare to minister to God’s people emerged. I wandered in the back of the church and stumbled upon the intercessors. The room was energized with the presence and power of God. There was no problem entering in and praying. Soon afterward, a word began to bubble up in my spirit man. I do not know how many times I repeated it. It could have been forty, but each time it was declared, more holy passion and volume accompanied the proclamation. What was this word? Simply, “IN THE 40th YEAR!”

Intellectually, most of us in the battle recognized the 40th year of Roe vs. Wade was fast approaching. Biblically, we also knew the number 40 was significant. Scholarly theologians have long recognized the number 40 in Scripture as a key number. Mainly, they agree that the frequency of its occurrences and the uniformity of its association with periods of probation, trial, and chastisement establish a consistent Biblical pattern. Likewise, Operation Save America believed the 40th year of Roe v. Wade held tremendous implications for our nation as it pertains to these same Biblical themes manifesting in our day.

Together, the word from New Orleans combined with the knowledge of the impending 40th year anniversary of Roe vs. Wade gave birth too much prayer. We sought the Lord on divine strategies that would help turn the tide and help end the American holocaust that was savaging our nation. In this righteous pursuit, however, we never sought to exchange God’s truth for political strategies. No, we asked for strategies that would honor the Lord as we stood squarely upon His Word. For we are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was, is, and will always be the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16).

States of Refuge Campaign

It was this prayerful seeking of the Lord that gave birth to the States of Refuge vision and mission. The Bible warns, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). In keeping with our mission, Operation Save America reaches out to the church and requests she not wait for the President, the Congress, or the Supreme Court to save America and stop the shedding of innocent blood. We are way beyond a political solution to what ails our beleaguered nation.

We believe it is time for the church of Jesus Christ to rise up and take her rightful place at the gates of hell. They cannot prevail against the church of the living God (Matthew 16:18). There is a direct connection between our spiritual and moral state and the litany of woe upon our bloodstained land. States of Refuge is part of a kingdom strategy for taking back the gates of our land and restoring our nation in righteousness. The reason is self-evident, we cannot indefinitely ignore that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34).

Operation Save America’s ultimate goal is to help end the American holocaust that has invoked God’s just wrath upon our nation. We desire to give God a reason to show mercy to our perverse and crooked nation. The immediate goal is to establish the first abortion-free states since Roe v. Wade. To create, as it were, states of refuge. There are five states (Arkansas, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming) with one remaining death camp defiling our bloodstained land. These locations represent the abortion industry at their weakest and most vulnerable point. It also provides the Church of Jesus Christ with the greatest opportunity to achieve victories against the American holocaust savaging our nation.

Keep in mind, there are also a few states that have two remaining abortion mills polluting the land. There are six altogether. They are Delaware (At this writing, Delaware maybe the first surgically abortion free state in America), Kentucky, Missouri (Missouri is down to one death camp), Nebraska, Rhode Island and West Virginia. Perhaps, if the momentum warrants, States of Refuge will focus God’s truth and love on these states as the next step in the march to liberate America from blood guiltiness, one state at a time.

 

Re-election of Barack Obama

We have not wavered in our assertion that Obama is God’s man. The Lord set him in high office to judge our nation for our manifold sins and abominations. In particular, the abominations of child sacrifice, the shedding of innocent blood (abortion) and for parading our sin like Sodom (the homosexual agenda). If the church tolerates evil, the church becomes intolerable. Both Testaments attests to this Biblical and historical truth (Numbers 33:54-56; Matthew 5:13).

I can remember going into a deep state of mourning when America re-elected Bill Clinton. We knew his character and godless agenda and our nation still voted him back to power. It was unthinkable to me and yet it happened. Obama is Clinton on steroids. Just when you think there could never be a worse politician to curse our nation, Obama came out of nowhere and obliterated the Clinton political machine. I predict the day will come when what is left of America will be stupefied to discover that Obama was an incredible fraud. A treacherous imposter that masqueraded as our president.

When the results came in on Obama’s second term, however, instead of going into a state of mourning, a spirit of joy arose in my spirit. I knew this was not a natural response to the plight of our nation. This was supernatural. As I was curious to discern this strange reaction, the Lord spoke to me. I heard Him as clear as I ever had heard Him in my life. He declared, “NOW SEE WHAT I WILL DO!” America has made her choice and set her course. In the midst of this, “Now see what I will do!”

This rhema word came to me in November of 2012. I immediately had my wife bear witness to the revelation and recorded it. I called other trusted leaders like Rev. Flip Benham and submitted the word to them. Fast forward to Operation Save America’s 40th anniversary commemoration of Roe vs. Wade in Jackson, MS. in January of 2013. Mississippi stands on the verge of making history as the first state without a surgical clinic, which performs abortions. We thought it providential to commemorate the 40th year anniversary of Roe vs. Wade at this strategic time and state.

While I was driving from Waco, TX to Jackson, MS, God confirmed the word he spoke to me in November. I was listening to the book of Exodus in our Bible Reading Schedule. It was at the point where Moses finally obeyed the Lord, confronted Pharaoh, declared God’s word, “Let My People Go” and everything blew up in Moses’s face. Pharaoh denied God’s authority and increased the burden upon God’s people by decreeing, “You shall no longer give the people straw to make brick as before. Let them go and gather straw for themselves. And you shall lay on them the quota of bricks which they made before. You shall not reduce it. For they are idle” (Exodus 5:7, 8a).

Heart broken, Moses poured out his complaint, “Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all” (Exodus 5:22, 23). It was at this critical juncture the Lord spoke a powerful Word to Moses. The Lord stated, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land” (Exodus 6:1).

When I heard these words “Now you shall see what I will do,” it was as if a spiritual atomic bomb exploded in my soul. I almost veered off the highway. It was the words that the Lord spoke to me by His Spirit in November, but now was being affirmed by His Word in January.

Since that time, in numerous ways, we have observed God’s word come to pass. Report after report announces victory after victory in the battle for men’s souls, the lives of children, and the future of our nation. Every time I hear an update, one word rises up, “Now see what I will do!”

There have been an outbreak of abortion mills closing down throughout our nation. Keep in mind, this is transpiring while we have the most pro-abort president in our history who had the audacity to pronounce God’s blessing upon Planned Parenthood. The Lord is using the Gosnell trial to pull away the curtain to expose the atrocities and deplorable condition associated with the merchants of death.

At this writing, Delaware has no more surgical abortion mills operating in their state. Four of the five States of Refuge are hanging by a thread as they race to become abortion free. Soon, one of them will cross the finish line. Other abortionists, like James Pendergraft, are being pursued by the legal system. We hope they will eventually plunder his bloody empire. Other abortionists are quitting their grisly trade as in the case of Harris and Flood in Charlotte, NC. More pastors are leading their congregations to the death camps in their city. Street preaching networks are converging at the exposed areas. Time will fail me to recount all that is happening in these tumultuous times. One thing, however, is sure. God is watching over His Word, “Now see what I will do” to perform it. In this, we greatly rejoice!

Ken and Jo Scott in the NY Times!

Ken and Jo Scott are headed to the United States Supreme Court.  Their battle with ultra liberal, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro any religion so long as it is not biblical Christianity, St. John’s Episcopal Church in downtown Denver, Colorado, is waxing hot.  It is a battle over the First Amendment and the lives of preborn children.  The title for the Times article presents us with an “either – or” logical fallacy.  How foolish of “the old gray lady!”  It is not a matter of which one we must protect – we must protect them both.   ~ Flip

The Saints in Dallas are Advancing

“Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.” Galatians 6:9   (NAS).

Don’t lose heart Saints! For those of us who have eyes to see we have discovered ourselves to be in the midst of this raging battle between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman.  In this battle for good and evil many times we find ourselves growing weary and losing heart.  Sometimes we find ourselves standing with only two or three saints in front of the abortion mill.  We think one of these death camps is falling into the grave and then it seems that there is new life breathed back into its wicked shell.  We plant, we water and we wait for the LORD to give the increase.

In the past few months, I have been encouraged by the increase which I have seen coming from the LORD.  I had the privilege to travel with Miss Pat to Israel this spring.  I was so very excited to be in the Promised Land.  I was thanking Jesus for the privilege to walk where He walked and to be refreshed by other prolife believers and renewed for His service.  Our Father loves us and delights in blessing us and He is always about His Kingdom work.  I had no idea that he would take me on the other side of the world to introduce me to a group of ladies who live in and around the Dallas area.  I have met with them since our return to the states and have found that God is birthing in their hearts a desire to stand in the gap for those being led to slaughter and to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.  Their desire is that the churches take up this responsibility and be the Church.  Does this sound familiar to anyone?  I am also very encouraged by Christ for the Nations. They continue to stand faithfully along side of us and war in the heavenlies for our city and nation.

I say all of this to say to you, be encouraged brothers and sisters in the LORD.  In just a few short weeks we have seen Kermit Gosnell convicted of murder and sentenced, the (stalking) charges against Flip dropped, Latrobe shut down by the health department and struggling under the weight of its own sin to remain open, the Women’s health center in Jackson, MS will soon fall (we believe this by faith), and Delaware may very well become the first abortion free state. We must not despise the days of small beginnings.  Our God is on His Throne!

Do you remember the scene in the Chronicles of Narnia when the white witch comes before Aslan and declares “You have a traitor in your midst”. (There is no doubt that satan, the accuser of the brethren, makes that same accusation before the Lord Jesus daily of His Church.)  The White witch demands the blood of the traitor. (Edmond).  Aslan replies to her “Let me meet with you alone.”  They return and Aslan announces, “She has renounced her claim upon the son of Adams blood.”  The white witch turns to Aslan and says, “How do I know you will keep your promise?” Aslan then opens his mouth with a roar and the white witch falls to her knees!

Don’t lose heart Saints!  “Be strong and of a good courage.”  Aslan is on the move!

What a Celebration – What a Battle!

 The atmosphere was electric, charged with the glory of God, as we approached the completely empty parking lot of “A Preferred Women’s Health Center” at 3220 Latrobe Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina.  This abortion mill just had its license suspended by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.  Over one hundred gentle warriors for King Jesus (moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, boys and girls) began to fill the street in front of this awful place where thousands of little baby boys and girls have been slaughtered.  It had been closed for three consecutive days and on this day – Tuesday, May 14, 2013 – it was shut up tighter than a drum.

The incredible prayers, the sounding of the shofar, the shouts of joy, the music, the explosive testimonies of what our Lord had done, the praise and worship filled the whole neighborhood with the high praises of Almighty God.  We were overflowing with the joy of the Lord and it would not be contained.  Indeed the joy of the Lord became our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).  

Little did we know on that wonderful day how much we were going to need it. 

We found out last night that the abortion mill filed a “petition for a contested case hearing” with the Office of Administrative Hearings in Raleigh, North Carolina.  A Preferred Women’s Health Center was granted a stay and will be opening its doors this morning, May 15, 2013, to resume the murder of God’s precious preborn children.

We need all of our gentle warriors back on the front lines today.  If it is inevitable that little children must die, it is imperative that they do not die alone.

Joel Osteen wrote a book not too long ago titled, “Your Best Life Now.”  God wrote a book longer ago that showed us “Our Best Life Later”

“All these people were still living by faith when they died.  They did not receive the things promised, they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance.  And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth…they were longing for a better country – a heavenly one.  Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.”  Hebrews 11: 13-16.

Come on “church militant” get your armor on and sharpen the Sword of the Spirit.  We have a battle to fight and to win in the strong Name of Him who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despised the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.  Your best life is later!

Abortion Industry in Charlotte Nearing an End!

Startling events in the 40th year of Roe v. Wade.  Over 55 million children have been slaughtered, yet God has not been silent.  His Church is storming the gates of hell and they are not prevailing.  The abortion industry in America is breathing a death rattle.  It is being exposed and crushed. 

Monday, May 13, 2013, was a very bad day for the abortion industry in Charlotte, NC:

·         Monday, Abortionist Kermit Gosnell was found guilty of three first degree murder charges for murdering children at his abortion mill in Philadelphia.  The abortion industry would have us believe he is an anomaly.  He is not.  He is the norm and here is the proof!

·         Monday, the license of the busiest abortion mill in Charlotte, “A Preferred Women’s Health Center,” has been suspended indefinitely by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services because of the vile and filthy things discovered there.

·         Monday, it was revealed that two of Charlotte’s leading abortionists Curtis L. Flood & Harvey L. Harris are no longer committing abortions in Charlotte or anywhere else.

·          Monday, the city of Charlotte has dismissed all charges against Rev. Flip Benham, Director of Operation Save America, for exposing abortionists to the Gospel of Christ.

Fewer abortionists, fewer abortion mills, fewer abortions:  The battle for the lives of preborn children is being won in cities across this nation as gentle Christians allow the theology of heaven to become biography in the streets.

A Life Well Lived – Norma Monroe

The pro life movement has lost another warrior.  Norma Monroe, faithful wife, loving mother and defender of life graduated into the Church Triumphant on Monday May 6, 2013.   Norma loved her family and the babies but first she loved the Lord.

Norma & Al, her husband of 63 years, were faithful defenders of life both at home in Florida and with OSA.  Al & Norma were part of the pro-life group that showed up at the last clinic in Brevard County, Florida every time it was open until it finally closed forever. She is happy now with Jesus, her Lord & Savior, but she will be sorely missed by her pro-life family.  See you in heaven, my friend.
