Personhood – God’s Way!

 I have received a lot of grief over this article which only reaffirms everything that we say, do, and stand for.  We have been “Personhood” since I became director of Operation Rescue in February of 1994.  Our “Emancipation Proclamation for the Unborn Child,” made its debut during the tenth anniversary of the “Summer of Mercy” in Wichita, Kansas, in July of 2001.  This proclamation makes it abundantly clear that the only Biblical response to abortion is declaring the truth of God’s Word.  “Personhood” does exactly that.  ~ Flip

Personhood – God’s Way!

Personhood is on the move in the state of Ohio.  Men are unsheathing the Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God) to cut the throat of the abortion industry and render it dead, Dead, DEAD!  Thank God the state of Ohio has some Godly men who have not fallen prey to the devil’s deceitful trap of praising the “Ohio Heartbeat Bill.”  This bill may indeed save some babies, but it will never deal with the sin of abortion.  The ‘Ohio Heartbeat Bill” represents the same tired and failed political strategy the pro-life movement has been initiating for the past thirty-nine years.

Incremental legislation is a failure because it always ends with the unwritten seven word caveat, “…and then you can kill the baby.”  It is a failure because it uses the devil’s means to accomplish God’s ends – the devil is the ultimate incrementalist.  It is a failure because it never allows us to wield the Sword of the Spirit – God’s Word is left in its sheathe.  It is a failure because it always seeks compromise – never a good idea to compromise God’s Word.  It is a failure because the devil himself would sign on to it – every piece of it! 

Yes, that includes the big three exception clauses (rape, incest, life of the mother).  It includes parental notification, the 24 hour waiting period, parental consent, fetal pain bill, partial birth abortion ban, infant born alive act, the Ohio Heartbeat Bill, ad nauseam.  All of these may save some babies, but they will never end abortion.  Even Dr. Dobson, a strong supporter of all this incremental legislation, admitted that, “…the Partial Birth Abortion Ban will probably not save one baby.” 

Unfortunately, for many of us in the pro-life movement, political strategy has replaced God’s Truth.  None of these pieces of political strategery, no matter how well-intentioned, deal with the sin of abortion.  They are simply attempts to regulate it so that a mother can kill her baby, and feel good about it.  That’s right!  The upshot of incremental legislation is that it assuages a mother’s guilty conscience for killing her child.  After all, she has done all she possibly could to have a safe and legal abortion, why is she at fault?  Unintended consequences anyone?

The one piece of political legislation, the only legislation we will support, is that which allows us to unsheathe the Sword of the Spirit (God’s Word).  Personhood is that legislation.  It deals with the sin of abortion.  It stops all compromise – let God be true and every man a liar.  It elicits God’s Help – He promises to watch over His Word to perform it.  It spells an end to the devil’s deceitfulness, for the Word of God exposes his lies.  It protects every child – no matter how small.  The gates of hell cannot prevail against God’s truth and God’s church.

“Abortion will come to an end in America when the Church of Jesus Christ makes up her mind it will come to an end – and not one second sooner.”

The National Emancipation Proclamation for the Un-born Child

We, the Pastors, elders, and citizens of theUnited States of America do hereby declare on this _____________________, in the year of our Lord two thousand and __________, that all children, from conception forward, are human beings.  They are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. 

In regard to these children, our government has been in overt rebellion against the Law of Almighty God since January 22, 1973.  The Supreme Court of theUnited States of Americadeclared that children in their mother’s wombs were not fully human and therefore not entitled to the full protection of the laws of our government.  Because of this open rebellion and blatant disregard for the Law of God and for life, our nation is suffering under the remedial judgments of God Himself.  Blood is coursing down the corridors of our schools, work places, and streets.  Because we have not hated bloodshed, bloodshed is now pursuing us.  (Ezekiel 35:6).

We, the pastors, elders, and citizens ofAmerica, do hereby this day hold the Supreme Court of theUnited States of Americain contempt of the court of Almighty God.  We hold it in contempt of the lives of the children it was sworn to protect.  We hold it in contempt of the Court before whom every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

By virtue of the power and authority vested in us as pastors elders, and members of the Church of Jesus Christ, we declare that the lives of all children (born and unborn) are sacred to God and worthy of our defense.  We with one voice decree, the unborn child shall now and forever more be set free to live inAmerica.  He shall be welcomed in life and protected by law.  Upon this act, sincerely believed to be an act of justice, warranted by the Constitution, we invoke the considerate judgment of mankind and the gracious favor of Almighty God.

We enjoin our brothers and sisters inAmericato join us in this noble endeavor to speak for those children in the womb who cannot speak for themselves.  (Proverbs 31: 8-9).

David Hall – Home with our Lord

October 11, 2011, at approximately 6:45 AM (Central Time), David Hall went home to be with the Lord. He was a wonderful friend of mine and a better friend of Jesus’. He was a powerful voice for preborn children, and an eloquent spokesperson for our veterans and active duty soldiers. What a great man of God David Hall was.

He lived his life to the full, never fearing failure and attempting valiant and sometimes impossible deeds for His King, Jesus. There was no mountain too high, no valley too deep that David was not willing to traverse if he knew God was calling him. He feared nothing that breathed. Yet feared greatly the call of Almighty God upon his life. He was a son, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend, a brother in Christ, a fellow worker in His Master’s vineyard, and a fellow soldier in the Lord. What a legacy he has left for us.

His piercing blue eyes were filled with excitement, determination, and courage. I often found strength in Christ when I gazed into David’s eyes and saw his chin set like a flint toward Jerusalem. I was scared – he was certain! That is the way it always was when we were storming the gates of hell with David Hall.

The giants were never too big. The devil never too bad. The course never too dangerous. There was always the joy of the journey ahead, no matter how narrow the gate or difficult the path.

Miss Phyllis, he always spoke so highly of you. You were to him, a pillar that made him strong.

I will miss him and look forward to joining him one day, God helping me, in a place where we will never have to say goodbye again.

Good night for now my dear brother – we will see you in the morning.

Occupy Atlanta Refuses Civil Rights Icon to Speak at Protest

Here is true democracy in action.  Democracy was something our Founding Fathers greatly feared.  That is why they gave us a Republic – Thank you Jesus.  Lex Rex, Law is King in a Republic.  Democracy is two wolves and a lamb sitting around a table  voting on what to have for lunch.  Guess who gets eaten?  The “Occupy Wall Street” crowd gives us a perfect example of this infantile state of mind.  You won’t believe what you are about to see.

Precious Children – Merely Medical Waste!

Jo Scott accurately describes the cold-hearted attitude of those who help the abortion industry to discard the evidence of its murderous ways.  Medical waste companies are complicit in the murder of preborn children.  It does indeed “take a village to kill a child.”  We are all complicit in the American Abortion Holocaust in one way or another.  Our first order of business to set America back on its Godly foundation is not “jobs, jobs, jobs” but “repent, Repent, REPENT!

40 Days For Life – What to Do?

“40 Days For Life” will be back out in the streets with us again this year at abortion mills in over three hundred cities.  This is, by in large, a Catholic organization that takes great umbrage over the graphic signs we bring to the gates of hell.  Most are very sweet folks who are doing their very best to be a voice for voiceless children.  Most have no clue as to the Gospel battle we fight in the strong Name of Jesus – but they are there. 

Daniel and Angela Michael have been “40 Days For Life” coordinators at the abortion mill in Granite City for the past three years.  They will not be doing so this year.  Here is their reason why.  ~ Flip

After taking part in the 40 Days for Life prayer vigils for almost three years, we finally realize that it is ridiculous to make people pay $197.00 to be a part of the 40 Days for Life Campaign. Understand, we have been holding prayer vigils, and through the ultrasound van helping moms and saving babies for almost 20 years on a daily basis, just like a lot of other faithful pro-lifers across the United States.  So, why would we pay money to pray outside of an abortion clinic? 

Now don’t get me wrong.  We went into this with the best intentions over three years ago with our first campaign. It’s always good to get a multitude of prayer warriors outside facilities where children are scheduled to die.  However, charging money to do what our ministry has been doing for two decades for FREE sounds more like a scam.  For, the only thing you get is access to the 40 Days main website and modules.  That’s all.  No shirts, no banners, no signs. We had to pay extra for all our materials, so another organization made money too.

The real reason for the “praying fee” appears to be, sadly, that David Bereit, the National Director for 40 Days for Life, needs to make a $94,000 salary, and that Shawn Carney, campaign director, can collect $20,000 at last report.  When I questioned Mr. Carney about this he said, “40 Days for Life spends $800 on each participant in the 40 Days for Life Campaign.  ” If you multiply 1,500 participants by $800 that’s $1.2 million. In 2009, they only reported taking in $400,000.  Something smells fishy.

Question:  has the pro-life movement become a bottomless money pit?  A modest salary would be okay, but $94,000 is ridiculous.  If you need to charge people to cover your expenses, that’s fine, but to make an outrageous salary like that is ludicrous.

That’s why if all abortion came to an end today, there would be pro-lifers jumping off their buildings as they would be losing their salaries, their social status, their titles, etc.  Unfortunately, raising money has become the pro-life movement’s main objective;  they have lost their focus. Instead of prevention, they are there to perpetuate it.  

Another instance is taking claim to closing abortions mills, which is a great thing, but let’s give credit,  where credit is due.  God does indeed answer prayers, but there are other things that factor into the closing of a lot of child killing facilities, not just 40 Days.  For instance, a lot of these abortion centers are losing federal funding and the struggling economy is also playing a part.  Also, it’s not as easy to find abortionists anymore .  Let’s face it, it’s the red light district of medicine and that’s a stretch.  Most real, reputable physicians don’t want to be associated with abortion or it’s industry.  So, it’s making it harder to find skilled baby killers.  Anytime we see another abortion clinic close it’s doors, it’s good; but to charge money to do what all Christians should be doing, for those without a voice… well, that’s just plain wrong.

Pro-Life Advocate Defies Obama Anti-Free Speech Lawsuit

This is a little boy, Jeremiah, saved at Planned Parenthood in New Haven. He has been given up for adoption to a Christian family! The most loving thing a mother can do when she feels she cannot handle another child is to give her baby to a loving family, instead of killing her baby in the womb at an abortion mill. I thank God that Jasmine did the right thing. Keep her in your prayers and all her other children. Evelyn, her mother, came to church with her three grandchildren.

Please pray for all the children that have been saved. Since 1990, 2162 babies have been saved that we know of and 396 salvations! God is so good to us to allow us to co-labor with him in His work. It is an honor and a privilege!

This is TJ. His mom was 14 years old when we met her at the Summit on Middle Street in 1992. We helped her make the decision to choose life for her son. We recently paid his expenses to get him to his college in Niagra, New York after he received a basketball scholarship. His grandmother raised him to be a fine young man. We are so proud of him. We sent him a study bible and he said he would read it everyday. Pray that God puts mature Christian friends in the dorm for him.

We have an ideal situation in front of the abortion mill to pass out gospel literature and lead people to the Lord. Danny gives out hundreds of tracts weekly at this location and Wendee has done the same across the street . God is comical, he put a bus stop and a methadone clinic right near us. It is a harvest ground.

Please pray for the man in the picture above. He has been harassing us for a while driving by and beeping his horn and yelling out obscenities. This Friday he over did it and was arrested. The court date is Sept 22, please pray that justice will be done.

Come join us every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday mornings from 8 AM- 10 AM as we reach out to moms that find themselves where they should not be. We will be there until the killing stops. The gates of Hell will not prevail against the Church. We are the Church. Jesus is our head and we are His body. We are His hands, his feet, his mouthpiece on the earth until he comes back.
