Great News!  With the help of Almighty God and a little help from “His” friends Rachael’s Park Memorial has been restored and is ministering the freedom and forgiveness that only Jesus can give even during the renovation.

Praise the Lord! ~ Flip

Restoration of Rachael’s Park Memorial

Rachel's Park 1

We are almost done with the complete restoration of Rachel’s Park Memorial. A special thanks to Pastor Dale Sochia, who traveled all the way from New Orleans to do the lion’s share of the work. He had the tools and the know how to help beautify and restore the park. I want to thank Carolyn Knowles, Jeff and Daniel Matthews and Brother Thomas from our church, Grace Church, who helped with the labor. I also want to thank John Pisciotta, Pro-life Waco, Donna Garner, King Jesus Ministries, and Bob Eoff for their financial support to help purchase the materials.

There was another precious couple who came out to help and the Lord did a miraculous work. I did not know they were post-abortive till they came to one of the features of the park, The Wall of Remembrance. As they looked upon the plaques, the woman began to weep. The husband reached out to comfort his wife as they both broke. I literally felt the Spirit of God fall upon them and backed off till His work was done. As a result, they are contemplating on receiving further ministry from the park.

This special event took place while working on the park. It was another sign from God on how special Rachel’s Park Memorial is and how the Lord uses it for His glory and the benefit of those devastated by the sin and crime of abortion.

Most of the crosses are repaired and back in the ground. All the poles surrounding the park are secure. Prayerfully, no more cars will be able to run roughshod over this sacred ground again. To those interested, we raised $675.00 of the $2000.00 needed to purchase the materials to restore the park. We still need $1,325.00 to pay it off.

Thank you!

Many of you know Mark and Lisa Metzger and their wonderful family.  They have been such a blessing to mothers in crisis pregnancy situations and children “waiting to be born” in our city.  For the past three years they, and several other families, have been allowing the theology of heaven to become biography at the gates of hell here at Charlotte’s three local abortion mills, and hundreds of children have been saved.

Not only that, they have found that the Gospel ministry at the gates of hell is the very best place to train up gentle warriors for King Jesus!

This is a must read for all of our brothers and sisters seeking to slay the dragon both from within and without.  You will be encouraged in Christ, as was I while reading this by a man of whom I know nothing, but now about whom I know everything that is important to know.

Enjoy, Prophets! ~ Flip

The Prophet and a Spiritual Movement of God

by Joji T Samuel (Elder of CFC church, Kottayam, India)

We are living in a time when believers have misunderstood “prophecy” to mean “predicting future events”, and a “prophet” as one who predicts the future.

The vast majority of believers in our day know only of Agabus the prophet, who twice predicted future events (Acts 11:28, 21:10). But they are ignorant of the fact that Judas and Silas are also called prophets in Acts: “Judas and Silas, being prophets, exhorted and strengthened the brethren with many words” (Acts 15:32).

How many Christians understand that those who exhort and strengthen believers are also prophets? The Bible says that genuine new-covenant prophecy always brings “edification, exhortation and comfort” to the hearers (1 Cor. 14:3). Do the ‘predictive prophecies’ that we hear in our day bring edification, exhortation and comfort to their hearers? Usually not.

Consider John the Baptist, the greatest prophet under the old covenant, who came to prepare the way of the Lord (Luke 1:76). He did not predict the future. What he had was a message for God’s people in his time.

All the prophets that God raised up in Israel had God’s current message for their generation. And they proclaimed that message clearly and uncompromisingly without fearing any man. How far removed such mighty prophets of God were from the self styled “prophets” of today whose only interests seem to be to impress people and to collect their fees, after they have uttered their “prophetic predictions”!

One who expounds Biblical prophecies about the future is a teacher, not a prophet. And one who describes past events from the Scriptures in a mechanical way is a scribe. A true prophet however emphasizes the present. He calls God’s people to repent and to return to God’s ways now.

The real need of believers in our day is to recognize God’s Word and His purpose for our time. Neglecting this, many preachers are taken up with interpreting matters like Gog and Magog in the final battle of Armageddon! At the other extreme are preachers who split hairs on the meaning of the bars and the pillars in the Old Testament tabernacle. Both these preachers are unable to see what God is doing in our time and thereby fail to become a part of His work in our day.

Jesus urged people in His day to “analyze their present time” (Luke 12:56). The true prophet also challenges believers to understand God’s mind for this current time.

Such a prophet, commissioned by God at a particular time in history, will have some special characteristics. He will proclaim the particular burden of God’s heart for His people at that time. That will be his only message – and so his ministry will not be a balanced one. His words will also be sharp and incisive. And he will never compromise.

Consider John the Baptist as an example of such a true prophet. We observe all these characteristics in him. He had only one message for God’s people in his time (“Repent”). He was imbalanced in his ministry. His words were very sharp (“You brood of vipers..”). And He was uncompromising. (His dress, place of work and even his food were all proofs of this.)

Where is the prophet who will powerfully and uncompromisingly proclaim the burden of the Lord that is relevant to our time? Where is the prophet who will continue to communicate that message, without diluting it in any way to suit the changing opinions of men? Where is the prophet who is not afraid of being labeled as “imbalanced” in his preaching? Where is the prophet who will not hesitate to use sharp words to proclaim God’s message without any partiality? Such a prophet is the need of the hour.

While many Jews in Jesus’ time spent their time listening to the “balanced” teaching of the Pharisees in their synagogues, a spiritually-minded minority went ‘outside the camp’ to hear the imbalanced message of John in the wilderness. And something similar is happening today, as well.

Every prophet who proclaimed the burden of the Lord for his particular time had to face much opposition from the religious leaders around him. But there was always a small minority who ignored their blind religious leaders and listened to the burden of the Lord proclaimed by the prophet. These few became part of the spiritual movement of their time, led by God’s prophet. Everyone who understood the mind of God became a part of such a move of the Holy Spirit in his time – and took a stand for God along with His servant the prophet.

A discerning believer who lived in the time of Martin Luther would take his stand with Luther. But a discerning believer living in John Wesley’s time would stand with Wesley. Watchman Nee has pointed out that a seeker of truth living in Wesley’s time would be missing out on the move of the Holy Spirit in his time, if he ignored Wesley and identified himself with Luther (who was God’s man for a previous generation). Such a believer would be living in the past.

Every spiritual movement has a tendency to end up as worldly organization after some time. How can we ensure that a spiritual movement initiated by a prophet does not end up becoming a dead organization? It is when compromise mars the original vision that a spiritual movement declines and degenerates into an organization. The prophet who is conscious of his calling will be continually alert to such a danger. And in order to preserve the move of God in its purity, he will take a strong stand against those who do not go along with the original vision of God for the movement. Any prophet who compromises at such a time, by trying to please men, will destroy the work that God wants to do through him.

Consider the apostle Paul and his work. Demas was at one time a coworker of Paul (Col.4:14). But he compromised and left Paul (2 Tim 4:10). Many of Paul’s other coworkers also left him. Why didn’t Paul compromise and try to please those coworkers of his, so that he could retain them? If he had done that, it would have been the end of God’s work through him.

Paul’s strictness towards his coworkers would certainly have affected his popularity with them and with their followers. But he was not disturbed by that, for he was not ‘a slave to his image’. He was not at all concerned about what people said or thought about him (Gal 1:10). Come what may, he stood uncompromisingly for the truth of God, compelled by the Spirit of God within him.

This resulted in more than one “split” in Paul’s work. Towards the end of his life, he says, “All those in Asia have turned away from me” (2 Tim 1:15). He found only one like‐minded person (Timothy) among all his co-workers (Phil 2:20). These were some of the setbacks that Paul faced as he sought to protect his work from ending up as a dead organization.

The “purification” that takes place at various stages of a work initiated by God through a prophet, is the proof that the work has not declined to become a dead system. Undiscerning believers might misunderstand such purifications. But the prophet will be uncompromising in his stand to preserve the truth of God in all its purity, without the slightest dilution.

Preachers who are ‘administrators’ and ‘diplomats’ may be willing to compromise, in order to take everyone along with them. Such preachers live before the face of men. But a prophet commissioned by God is no diplomat or politician. He lives before God’s face alone. His words are the same as the words of his Lord, “My kingdom is not of this world”.  He has no kingdom (or ministry) of his own to preserve.  And so, the words of Jesus are fulfilled in his life too: “No prophet is accepted in his own country and among his own people”.

If we have discernment to understand the ways of the Lord, we will recognize the prophets of God in our time. And we will join them to be a part of God’s move in our time. And like them, we too will never compromise, whatever the cost.

He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

Flip just called and said Dave Lackey is getting out of the hospital! PTL! His brain is alright and he has special food to eat. Dave was excited because he got to minister to at least five people in the hospital. He apologized to a doctor that he was upset with. Dave is excited about going home ( we don’t know how excited Denise is! LOL)

His daughter Tara and Denise will be making the prescribed food for him. The whole problem seems to have stemmed from his blood sugar level. Dave was greatly encouraged about how God was using him. He got permission from the doctors that he can drive (look out Birmingham!) We thank you all for praying and we give God all the glory!

“If you can?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”  Mark 9:23

These two videos (the first 3 ½ minutes, the second 15 minutes) were a product of the 40th Memorial of Roe v. Wade, put on by Cities4Life in Charlotte, North Carolina.  They were financed by the gracious gifts and talents of several Christian Ministries and businesses in our area and one in particular.  The first video is simply, “Answer the Call!”  It doesn’t need an explanation.

The second video gives you a blow by blow description of what happens when a young lady gets pregnant and comes to an abortion mill here in the Charlotte area and runs into the theology of the church house becoming biography in the streets.  Those in this second video are all of our folks and it displays the wonderful resources we have here in Charlotte for ladies finding themselves in a crisis pregnancy.  It is awesome what God is doing in the city of Charlotte to enable the Church of Jesus Christ the opportunity to “plead the case of the fatherless to win it.”  Jeremiah 5:28.

Last year there were 376 moms who chose life for their children at the three abortion mills in Charlotte.  So many also gave their hearts to Christ.  All to the glory of God!

Enjoy!

Across our nation abortion mills are closing at a record pace.  Here is a quick story about the closing of an abortion mill in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Today, there is only one free standing abortion mill left in Greensboro.

Enjoy!

I just spoke with Dave this morning (8:00 AM. Our time, 7:00 AM. His time) Monday, February 11, 2013.  He is doing well.  The swelling is going down.  He says he feels great and already this morning he has been sharing the Gospel of Christ with everyone God gives him to speak to.  He has made known to all of the nurses that there will be, “No more shots given!”

I was greatly encouraged that the sunshine that is always so brightly manifest in his demented little personality has returned full strength.  Talking to him this morning was an absolute joy. It was like pulling the curtains back and experiencing the sunshine of God’s love flood over both of us as we chatted.

He is hoping to be out of the hospital today, but is not at all sure that this will happen.

Please keep him in your prayers.  We will keep you updated.

In Christian love,

Flip

Dr. Ben Carson, MD., an absolutely dynamic Christian and faithful doctor, has touched and healed so many broken people and done it all in the Name of Jesus.  He had the incredible opportunity to speak at a prayer breakfast yesterday morning and President Barack Obama was sitting on the dais.  Watch the expression on the President’s face as he comes face to face with the truths in God’s Word.

Dr. Ben Carson is a faithful man that fears no one but Almighty God.  May his tribe increase.  May we, who claim Christ, do the same!

Here’s the video…Spectacular!  ~ Flip

The folks in North Dakota are doing great work breaking from the failed incremental “pro-life” strategies of the past and unsheathing the Word of God through “Personhood.”  Declaring, as a state, that children in the womb are “persons” opens the door, under color of the law, to protect all preborn children from conception to birth and beyond.  It also opens the door for rescuing children being led away to the slaughter if the last remaining abortion mill in North Dakota should dare continue doing abortions.

Shout out to God with a voice of triumph!  When we do thing His Way, the gates of hell cannot prevail. ~ Flip

Note from Dr. Pat McEwen, February 11, 2013

North Dakota has passed a no exceptions Personhood Bill in the ND State Senate – The ND House will still have to vote on their version but the House is more prolife than the Senate.  The following is from our friend Dan Becker, Field Rep for Personhood USA and President of Georgia Right to Life.  Dan perfected his model of working with State legislators in Georgia to be truly pro-life not just pro-some life.

“ALL passed with NO exceptions! In fact last year’s Personhood Bill HB 1450 did have a Rape & Incest exception but we defeated 4 longtime Senators in the primary and nobody was willing to offer the exceptions again this year.  We direct mailed every voter in their district with a hard-hitting mail piece. The ND Senate Majority Leader was reported to admit it scared the rest of the Senators.  This is what I have been saying . . . the prolife movement needs to establish the standard and require all politicians to acknowledge.”

The Sword of the Spirit has been unsheathed in North Dakota and God is watching over His Word to perform it.  This was accomplished by changing the hearts of the legislators.  Now the battle for North Dakota is on.  Changing the hearts of the legislators is one step BUT we must change the hearts of the people of North Dakota or we will see delays and non -enforcement and all other tricks of the pro death agenda.  This change takes place, not in the halls of the legislature, but on the streets, in the market place and right at the gates of hell.  That is what we do best!  Will North Dakota be a State of Refuge?  We are calling to gather Jesus’ gentle warriors in October, 2013, to storm the gates of hell – see you there.

Here is what Gualberto Garcia Jones, Legal Counsel, Personhood USA, had to say about the ND senate victory:

North Dakota Takes A Major Step Toward History

Justice delayed is justice denied.

That pithy summary of all we hold to be true at Personhood USA has become our rallying cry. As the largest personhood organization in America, we have carried the fight to end abortion to all fifty states, and around the world. Our rally cry has particularly caught on in North Dakota where the state Senate has just passed a constitutional amendment to protect all life and a ban on abortion!

Several weeks ago North Dakota lawmakers introduced SB 2302, a bill that would establish that children in the embryonic stage must be treated ethically and with dignity. Today that bill passed and is headed to a vote in the North Dakota House of Representatives. While this is great news, it has set up a major battle in the state as the corrupt abortion industry and their allies in the unregulated fertility industry have let loose a cannonade of lies to intimidate pro-life legislators.

This is a battle that we welcome, and we wear the attacks from the abortion industry and their allies in North Dakota as a badge of honor! The pro-lifers in North Dakota supported by Personhood North Dakota have reshaped the public perception of abortion and elevated the sanctity of life.

Win or lose, one thing that you can be sure of is that we will continue to fight to put an end to abortion in the FlickertailState once and for all! As Winston Churchill said about Great Britain’s struggle against the Nazi’s in World War II, we say about the fight against the culture of death.:

“We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in Gods good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.”

Dan and Donna Holman just sent us this video of the providential opportunity God gave us to speak at the 2nd Amendment Gun Rally on the steps of the State Capitol building in Jackson, Mississippi.

Enjoy this 4 minute video!
