Direct Action v. Indirect Action

Here is an excellent article written by Jay Rogers to counter an argument written by “pro-abortion” journalist Lawrence Alba.  Miss Pat reminded me of the great victory won at Patricia Windle’s abortion mill in Brevard County, Florida.  It was the sight of many incredible Gospel battles for the lives of preborn children.  Today, Brevard County is abortion free.  How did that come about?  Jay has some great insight that will be an encouragement to all of us allowing the theology of heaven to become biography at the gates of hell.  ~ Flip

God Moving In Little Rock, Arkansas

Since our small gospel raid at the gates of hell (the last abortion mill in Little Rock, Arkansas) this past December, God has been doing great things through His saints.  Brother Thom Huey has informed us that the company WELSCO delivering canisters of CO2 and Oxygen to the abortion mill, having found out that it was delivering the canisters to a place that kills babies, has ceased doing business with the mill.  How did they find out?  Brother Thom Huey and the saints in Little Rock have allowed the theology of heaven to become biography in the streets.

The US Army is a better place because you are there, and those of us in the Little Rock area benefit greatly because of your sober and steadfast vigilance to pray and believe for this murder hole of a place called the Little Rock Family Planning Service P.A., run by the mass murderer Tom Tvedten, to be closed very soon.
 
As we know, this business employs several people who are providing for their families with federal, state and private dollars dedicated to the destruction of what God knew before He not only formed them in the belly of their mothers, but whom He also sanctified and ordained. Jeremiah 1:5
 
We not only pray for those families to come out from under the evil deeds of the notorious abortionist Tom Tvedten, but that they find virtuous jobs to support their families.
 
We also need to pray for the Church to stand up and not only make a righteous cry for the killing to stop, but to take an active role to elect those in federal and state offices to cut off all of the tax dollars that have been dedicated to this holocaust and to never again participate in the evil deeds of others like Tom Tvedten.

In May 2010, the non-partisan Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report on federal funding of organizations that perform abortions. The report found that from 2002-2009, pro-abortion groups spent over one billion dollars from the federal government. Planned Parenthood alone received $657.1 million in federal grants and contracts over the course of seven years.  As evidenced in their recently released Annual Report for 2007-2008, government grants make up a third of Planned Parenthood’s total revenue.
 

What are they spending our money on?

Planned Parenthood is a business, and abortion is where the money is.
Using data from Planned Parenthood’s Annual Reports from 1997 to 2008, these charts expose the violent reality of America’s largest abortion provider.

As seen in the graphs above, 98% of Planned Parenthood’s “services” for pregnant women are abortions.*

Planned Parenthood doesn’t just use our tax dollars to fund abortion. In their latest Annual Report, Planned Parenthood outlines its research projects undertaken in the past year including research in “advances in abortion service delivery.” (page 4)
As evidenced by the outline of their legislative agenda for 2008-2009, Planned Parenthood also sought to ensure that abortion is considered as “health care,” deny conscience protection to health care workers, and increase the incredible amount of taxpayer dollars they already receive on a yearly basis:
“achieve affordable, quality, comprehensive reproductive health care as part of health care reform” (page 12)
“ensure that doctors, nurses, and pharmacists who oppose contraception and abortion cannot deny patients vital health care information and services based on their personal biases” (page 12)
“increase government funding for family planning programs” (page 12)

Tell Congress you don’t want Planned Parenthood to receive any more of your hard earned tax dollars. Tell your Representative to “Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act” Now!

Dear friends,

This link will take you to a brief write up on a company a few of us here in Little Rock have been in communication with in regards to their involvement with the abortion mill.  If you remember, this abortion mill is the place many from Operation Save America ministry came to in December to intercede for and bring the judgment of God.  “Arise O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in Thy sight” (Proverbs 9:19).

 No action is required at this time, just a simple reminder that there are folks willing to stand with us, even though they be rare.  Praise God with us for His enduring faithfulness who will “establish the just” and will bring the wickedness of the wicked to an end (Proverbs 7:9).

According to “an unprofitable servant,” Thom Huey, police went to the abortion mill yesterday to facilitate reclamation of WELSCO’s gas tubes, were denied access and now it will take a judge’s court order to complete the severing of this  businesses ties with the murder mill.  I believe WELSCO will be true to their word and pursue it until the end.  Will you pray with us that WELSCO will finish this fight and that no competitor will rise up to supply this abortion mill?

Ken and Jo Scott Need our Prayers

Ken and Jo Scott have been faithful to lift up the gospel of Christ at the gates of hell in Denver for decades.  Hundreds of children have been saved from brutal deaths and mothers and fathers cared for as a result of their powerful ministry.  Now the Department of Justice would like to rid the earth of them.  The attorney general’s office has assigned five federal prosecutors to remove these “Domestic Terrorists” from the streets of Denver.  The Thomas More Society is coming along side Ken and Jo’s legal team to lift up the name of Christ in the court room and “…plead the cause of the fatherless to win it.”  Jeremiah 5:28.   ~Flip

Pro-lifer’s FACE violation questioned

pro-lifer being handcuffedA Denver pro-lifer has gained the support of a legal group that believes he’s being targeted by the U.S. attorney general simply because of where he stands on the issue.

Kenneth Scott is being prosecuted based on the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which is designed to keep pro-lifers from blocking access to abortion clinics. But Peter Breen of the Thomas More Society tells OneNewsNow Scott is accused of obstruction, which appears to be an obscure interpretation of federal law.

“It appears to be based on the fact that when he waves someone to come over and talk to him and to pull over to take literature about offering alternatives to abortion, that the car that is stopped [so people can talk] to Ken might have obstructed some other car that would be waiting to get into the parking lot to have an abortion,” he explains.

Peter Breen 2But he points out that when the lead car leaves, the people in the vehicles supposedly behind it still have full access. So he suggests that if someone were selling flowers on a right of way, for example, not one eyebrow would be raised.

“These are rights that we have had and [that] have been held sacred in this country from time immemorial — and yet today, the attorney general wants to restrict those rights merely because this sort of interchange of information and ideas is occurring outside of an abortion clinic,” the attorney laments.
The U.S. attorney general’s office has assigned five federal prosecutors to handle the case against Scott, while the Thomas More Society enters the fray with the pro-lifer’s legal team.

Abortionists Facing Murder Charges in Maryland!

Wonderful News From Connecticut

This  is Christina, one of the saved babies from years ago ( Bridgeport) that’s grown up to be a beautiful young lady (10 yrs old). Her mom, Alma, brought her to come see us at the mill.
 
This is Taraji, another saved baby (New Haven) and her two sisters. Their mom, Sharelle is doing well in school for medical assistant.
 
This is Brodie and Brenda with Latisha’s baby girl born on Dec 7th at Bridgeport Hospital! PTL!
 
St. Raphael’s Hospital in New Haven has announced plans to merge with Yale New Haven Hospital, stating that their pro-life directives would be followed on the St Raphael’s Hospital campus. Connecticut Right to Life and other Christian groups are concerned that the directives might not be adhered to concerning abortion, birth control, sterilizations and end-of-life issues. 
 
Len Suzio, a newly elected state senator from Meriden, was recently asked to address a commission honoring a winner of an essay on feminism. In his speech he told them he was married to the same woman for 40 years, they have four daughters together and they have opened their home to needy pregnant women for years. So he concluded, “If you want someone who is sensitive to women’s issues, I’m your man!”  🙂
 
Len also has made an attempt to defund Planned Parenthood which receives several millions in CT state funds. He raised the topic that it was a shame that two hospitals in Meriden had to give up millions of dollars due to state cuts but Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the state and the nation, didn’t give up anything! Truth and Mercy – A Powerful Ministry in Charlotte

Many of you know Sheryl Chandler.  She has been a faithful sidewalk counselor in the streets of Charlotte for decades.  Her ministry in these past four years has really allowed the theology of the church house to become biography in the streets in a marvelous way.  God is up to something big in these days.  He always is.  We just need to have eyes that see and ears that hear.

Happy New Year! I hope you are rejoicing as we close out 2011 and enter 2012. I showered and evangelized 24 moms in 2011 and pray for more ministry opportunities in the coming year. Continuously, we humans open and close years as time marches on, but it’s incredible to think that the Lord knows no such boundaries as time. It’s an amazing thought, to realize that the God of all creation entered our realm of time and space when He came as a man to our world. As you know, I homeschool my two children and this year in history and literature we are studying the ancient world. We will soon place GOD on our timeline, where His first coming distinctly and directly divides our entire measurement of time. I can barely conceive it. We recently studied ancient Greece and their alphabet, which begins with Alpha and ends with Omega. Revelation 22:13 defines Jesus as the “Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end.” He is truly the first and the last. Everything originates with Him and everything will end in Him. Everything comes from God and nothing will outlast Him. He has no competition. He is the first word and the last word in history, and He controls everything in between. Since I last sent you an update, I’ve provided 4 showers and 3 babies have been born. Please read all the way to the end, because I have some very exciting news to share regarding pro-life ministry here in Charlotte. You don’t want to miss this announcement!

1) Lisa Metzger, a gifted sidewalk counselor, met Jennifer early last summer in front of the abortion clinic called “A Preferred Women’s Health Center”. Ugh. (We can’t bear the lies encapsulated in that name, so we just call it “Latrobe” for the street it’s located on.) Jennifer is from Florence, SC and has a 3-year old son named Jalen. Lisa and her family opened their home to Jennifer and Jalen and provided hospitality to them a few times. This is a valuable part of the ministry, as Jennifer was able to witness, likely for the first time, a loving, functioning Christian family.

This photo was taken the day Lisa met Jennifer. Lisa is counseling her, pleading for life, and offering hope and truth, right through Jennifer’s open car window, in front of the abortion clinic. This photo perfectly depicts what we do on the streets.

Throughout her pregnancy, Jennifer experienced a great deal of early labor and was in and out of the hospital several times. I prepared all her shower things quite early, including preemie clothing, thinking she would have the baby around week 34, after the doctors stopped aggressively preventing labor. Alas, she held on…and on…and on. She ended up going well PAST her due date, and then the doctors threatened to induce her! This series of events gets even more interesting, because Jennifer delivered her son, Damir Mason, IN THE CAR on the way to the hospital! What a story! Damir’s cord was crimped and he had to be resuscitated by EMT, but now mother and baby are both fine and healthy, thank the Lord! Damir weighed 7lb 9oz and was 21″ long.

As soon as he was born, Lisa drove 2 hours south to deliver the Truth & Mercy baby gifts to Jennifer. Lisa tells me that Damir means “to give peace” and Mason means “to work with stone”. God turned and softened Jennifer’s stony heart, which was originally intent on abortion, and He gave her peace to let her baby live!

2) In early November, I showered Lily, who had her baby girl, Yaleal a few weeks later. They live in Monroe, so I don’t have pictures of Yaleal yet, but I do have a photo of Lily and her 2-year old son, Christian, who was saved from abortion and showered in 2009. She asked for help with this baby, too. I had never met Christian in person. It was a joy to see him face-to-face!

3) Next, I received a call for help from Ositata and his wife, Vivan, who are from Nigeria. They needed practical help for their 6-month daughter, Kamsey (pronounced Comzee). I showered them with clothing and toys in early December. Vivan was opposed to my taking and showing her photo, or her daughter’s. She is deathly afraid of the demonic practice of voodoo and was apprehensive that people would practice it using her images. She has had very real experiences with it in her native land. This provided a divine opportunity for me to present the Gospel of Christ to them. I also explained clearly and passionately that voodoo would not occur with me or you, my wonderful supporters who would view the photos, but she could not be convinced. People who don’t believe this evil practice occurs need to have a conversation with Vivan or others who have experienced it. Don’t be lulled to sleep, thinking the devil is not real or witchcraft doesn’t happen – and don’t be entertained by its book and movie depictions. It devastates lives and souls. Gratefully, Ositata courageously let me take his photo, but also know that little Kamsey was adorable! Here he is, most appreciative for assistance from Truth & Mercy.

4) Also in early November, I showered Illse, a pregnant woman Katherine Hearn met in front of the Latrobe Ave abortion facility. Illse’s story twists and turns, but suffice it to say, she was pregnant and in need of practical help and spiritual counsel. Thankfully, she chose life for this baby. She has two young children, Alex and Selene. Truth & Mercy showered her abundantly with 2-years of clothing, a changing table/dresser combo unit, pad, cover, car seat/stroller combo, bouncy seat, johnny jump-up, sling carrier, high chair, tub, Boppy pillow, crib sheets, bedding set, blankets, hooded towels, washcloths, head support, sleep positioner, toys, books, movies, photo frames and album, hangers, diaper bag, shampoo, powder, lotion, baby wash, pacifiers, and a very generous supply of diapers and wipes. She was overwhelmed and extremely grateful for the baby items.

After Illse went through her lovely gifts, Katherine took us all out for pizza and as the kids played, we talked seriously about the Gospel. Sadly, Illse seemed detached and disinterested, but I pray the Lord will move upon her heart in the future. She has certainly been told about God’s plan of salvation – His love and mercy – and it has been clearly demonstrated to her in a manner she will likely never forget. I pray that she will read, understand and believe the message in the Gospel materials I left with her. May God open her eyes to His truth.

I next will shower Ashley, Trina, U’Leasa and Shaquana. All are having GIRLS! For many years, the boys far outnumbered the girls (roughly 5:1), but recently, girls are making a comeback!

I’ve provided 24 lavish showers this year, which is fairly typical. All 24 of these women have had an encounter with the living God, both in word and deed. They have all been shown His love and mercy. Thank you for equipping and supporting Truth & Mercy so that I can sow into these precious lives. May God receive all the glory and praise.

Now for the BIG news! For the last year, I’ve been working with a dedicated group of pro-lifers as we develop a new ministry, which is really a MOVEMENT. We call this organization Cities4Life. Our vision is to connect and unify all the pro-life work being done in Charlotte onto one website. This way we can easily direct pregnant women to the site and thereby to the particular assistance they need. We also desire to bring in new pro-life Christians to serve in various ways. The site will be a common link to all the prolife efforts. We hope and pray that this model will be replicated in cities all over the country.

Remember Life:
On Friday Jan. 20, from 11:30am-1pm at the downtown corner of Trade and Tryon in Charlotte, we will gather to remember the lives lost in our city and nation the last 39 years. We will have a memorial service and dedicate ourselves to protecting lives in the future. This is a hallowed time of repentance, prayer, worship, and testimony.

We will hold the Cities4Life dinner that Friday night, Jan. 20 at 7pm, rejoicing in the lives the Lord has spared and provided for, through the ministries of various pro-life groups, including Truth & Mercy.

Proclaim Life:
We will gather at A Preferred Women’s Health Center the following Saturday morning, Jan. 21 from 9:30-11am. The address is 3220 Latrobe Ave, Charlotte NC 28211. This will be a peaceful time of prayer and proclamation. We worship Jesus right on the sidewalk in front of this center. We reach out to men and women entering and exiting the building. Michael heads up the States of Refuge intelligence apsects concerning the waste management companies that service the death camps in the five states that have one abortion mill remaining defiling our land. Abortion Collaboration Investigated in Mississippi

The Campaign to Stop Stericycle (CSS), a project of Repent America, traveled to Mississippi earlier this month to hurl a stone at the Goliath of the abortion holocaust.

In conjunction with States of Refuge, which is working to establish the first abortion-free states in America, the ministry visited Jackson, Mississippi to gather information regarding the last abortion facility in the state. Because of the ministry’s efforts, one of the companies that has been maintaining the truck being used by Stericycle has stated that it will no longer do so, and a second company, which has been leasing the vehicle to the medical waste giant, is now considering prohibiting them from using it to service the abortion facility. Additionally, after uncovering potential permit violations, the ministry contacted the Mississippi Department of Environmental Conservation, which has agreed to investigate the matter. Please pray that the work of CSS will continue to be successful and that abortion will come to a swift end in the state.

Bringing Light into the Darkness – The Christmas Miracle!

For sure Michelle Wolven of Atlanta, Georgia, has been allowing the light of Jesus to shine through her.  She is a mother of nine and happily married to her husband Mike for twenty-four years.  For those of us who know Mike, we are well aware of the major accomplishment and miracle this is.  As a result of Michelle’s work, the abortion industry in Atlanta is being exposed for the liar, murderer, and thief that it is.  Medicaid fraud.  Ahhhh, the Christmas miracle – allowing the Word of God to become flesh.  John 1:1-5.

DeKalb County Physician Indicted for Using Medicaid Funds to Perform Abortions
A DeKalb County Grand Jury indicted Tyrone Cecil Malloy, MD, and his former office manager CathyAnn Edwards Warner on December 8, 2011, on two counts of Medicaid Fraud, O.C.G.A. 49-4-146.1(b)(2). Malloy owns and operates Old National Gynecology, a medical practice devoted to the performance of abortions.

The indictment alleges that Malloy and Edwards accepted medical assistance payments for medical office visits associated with the performance of elective abortions and for ultrasound services which were never performed. Federal funds may not be used to pay for abortions and services associated with abortions, except in instances where the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest or under circumstances in which continuation of the pregnancy would endanger the life of the mother.

Medicaid Fraud is punishable by one to ten years in prison and a fine of $10,000.00.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Nancy Allstrom is prosecuting the case on behalf of the State of Georgia. The case was investigated by Investigator Shakethia Morgan, Investigative Auditor Cliff Finney, Nurse Investigator Beth Ann Teague and Criminal Analyst Tish Murray, all of the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU). Criminal Analyst Carmen Staley and Investigator Bill Bruce of the MFCU and Nurse Analyst Wylene Moore of the Georgia Department of Community Health assisted with the investigation.
